I really don't understand people going out into the wilderness and leaving trash behind, don't they think that if everyone did the same the place would be a dump and no doubt they'd complain.... some people are a disgrace.
It really kills me when I find a place so trashed like this one. I always find myself fighting back tears that people could care so little about these special places
Hey! All that Escalante stuff (Burr Switchbacks, Boulder, Devil's (Hell's?) Backbone) was in our first trip that we ever shared on the RUclips! We even ate dinner at the [whatever] Backbone Grill!

I’ve been covering SEMA for 12 years and love my little Vegas break from the road. Love the channel and love my new sticker and patch. Adventure on!

Brings back some memories of my US roadtrip this summer. I stayed 5 nights in Escalante and did some hiking on the boulder mail trail and death hollow. Also some stuff on the Hole-in-the-rock road. It was amazing! I really love this area.
And of course "Hells backbone grill" - a must.
Vally of Fire impressed me very much as well. Incredible rock formations. But I couldn't hike much there. Temperatures have been in the nineties, not too chilly ;-)

It is! We were able to get it running again but we can't fly it in sport mode! So annoying! That whole area is pretty incredible!
It’s awesome you guys help clean up everywhere you go. Sadly lake mead is trashed now. My wife and I always take our girls out there and bring extra bags for any trash.
Yeah, it was so sad how different it was since our last visit about 2 years ago! That is a great practice to take an extra bag!

Killer drone work guys 👍👍 If you want to film inside your camper at night you can just change the frame rate on your camera and you won't get that flickering.
We've tried that we've watched a ton of videos on how to do mitigate that and NOTHING works!

Sadly we were in panic mode and those are the moments where we need to focus on getting out safely and not filming.

Blake and the crew at the Hells Backbone grill are great! Was there this past summer while traveling on a moto Adventure. Discovered it in in 2001 while adv traveling the area.
What a treat a stop at the Hells Backbone is! We never pass it up!

2. Packing out trash is a practice that we should all be doing so thank you for being so kind with your example.

1) I have one cubic foot of clothing to my name and somehow two pairs of overalls is apart of that collection!
2) I agree. I also can't sit in the facility of trash and not do something about it.

Re climbing, so do you guys haul around crash pads, a rack & rope too? This would explain the one cubic foot of clothing. And speaking of that foot of clothing, 2 pairs of overalls... priorities!

Please insert the actual dates of your stops. I try to plan travels to places when the weather is nice and the dates help me plan out my trips too.

Luna was not a fan of the dress, but she only had it on for a few minutes! We got the hint! And that is a great idea for the dates. Just so you know this was early November!

Great video! Hell's Backbone Grill looked sort of familiar when you stopped there, and I realized after a quick search that I drove right by it last year on a similar drive going the other direction from Valley of Fire SP up to the Grosvenor arch, and then on to Valley of the Gods. Now I know why there were so many cars parked there :) Keep up the great work!
Next time in St. George, be sure to check out Silver Reef Brewing and then pop up to Cedar City and go to Policy Kings Brewing... Both are wonderful (I was FINALLY able to give them a taste).
We tried to go to both while we were there because it was the day the new liquor laws went into effect! Sadly they were so packed we just bought some beer to go

Love this area. Capital Reef is stunning and being able to head right from it into Escalante is about as good as it gets. Hells Backbone Bridge is beautiful and a lot of fun to drive. We did it as a family last winter and had a blast.
I had to pause the vid twice to make sure that that empty box of beer that you cleaned up in fact said "NATTY DADDY"!!! :)) I guess whom ever left it there did not want the evidence in their vehicle!!!

We've tried that! We've tried everything and even watched a bunch of videos on it and for whatever reason the frequency of our lights is impossible to combat!

1. Thank you for cleaning up after others. It is a shame that people still act this way and disrespect the environment. Every time I go hiking, I take a trash bag to collect trash left on the trail.

I always thought I’d hit the road in a sprinter van or class c, until I found your channel. 😊 Silly question: let me preface my statement by saying I know NOTHING about over landing. Is it possible to put the original truck bed back on your vehicle? (If for some reason you guys decide you’re done with the nomadic lifestyle).

Loved the series- hope you will do more! Stopped at Hell's Backbone Grill a few years ago with a bunch of friends on our way to Moab for some mountain biking- we all had an incredible dinner!! When it gets that cold at night do you ever have a problem with water pipes freezing in your camper? Best to you both for the holidays!
We have never had issues with the pipes freezing. Reason being that when the heat is running it warms the cabnets with all of our plumbing!
