When I did my ges test I wasn't in a machine for two hours! I ate my radioactive eggs then they scanned my stomach every 30 minutes- half hour for four hours. I guess different hospitals do it differently

Here I am with Emetophobia and Hypochondria, and even I have it a lot easier in life. You are just one of many people struggling immensely with several chronic illnesses. :( You are so strong dear!! Always know that! I'm not sure how I'd manage with such illnesses considering my own immense mental struggles, plus I also have Atrial Tachycardia. But I'm so aware that not everyone has it easy, many have a daily struggle and battle to go through their life, to just live and continue forward. I have my own mental struggles, and thankfully just a minor heart condition, but I'm still very blessed and a privileged person, and always thankful for my blessings. You still holding onto you faith is admirable. I'm Catholic, you are in my prayers that I always pray for those struggling in this world. Hope you have more easier days ahead dear! God bless you! ✝️🙏

Thank you so much for this video. I just had my GES. It showed severe gastroperesis.
    1 hr - 0 %
    2 hr - 8 %
    3 hr - 10 %
    4 hr - 21 %
My GP also thinks that somedays I have rapid gastric emptying because I have those sometimes somedays (not on the test day). I couldnt rap my head around how it could be possible until I watched your video. Thank you.

Thanks for this video. I appreciate it immensely. I have a test in October. Eggs, toast and jelly with 4 oz water. I have gastritis duodenitis and a hiatal hernia.
Mystery problem that stumps doctors. All of a sudden I am hungry as heck and if I don't eat immediately I feel hypoglycemic but nothing ever shows up in blood work when I fast. The kicker... I have diarrhea when this episode happens. All I get from any doctor is, " Oh, that's odd"
Me: Really? I thought so, too. That is why I am asking. 19 yrs. of suffering with this problem.
So, I am on Pantoprozole 2x a day for 10 weeks. Along with Famotodine and carafate.
I hope life will be kinder to you. It's hell suffering with me. I can't imagine what you go through. Good luck.

I went through quite a rough time with vomiting nearly everything and anything that went down orally but also severely fatigued, severe dizziness and a high craving for salt which oddly enough helped with the nausea and vomiting (from October 2021 to January 2022). I ended up getting a scope done for my stomach (found an ulcer and severe stomach inflammation along with finding that the lining mildly infected with some bacteria) and a gastric emptying study (showed mild end of rapid gastric emptying with slow intestinal transit). Considering that I have diabetes and fairly severe dysautonomia, the gastric emptying study results weren't much of a surprise for me.
However, I continued to have problems with vomiting despite trying to treat the found issues with my stomach and intestines. It wasn't until I saw my endocrinologist who was able to figure out why I had so many problems. Come to find out I had adrenal insufficiency (below normal cortisol production).
Hydrocortisone ended up helping to resolve most of my problems although I still have diabetes, dysautonomia, severe CRPS, central pain syndrome, Sjogrens syndrome along with a new diagnosis that I was gifted with by neuro in July 2023-> CFS/ME (chronic fatigue syndrome/myalgic encephalomyelitis).

Fellow Eds and pots person here... it took me a good 8 years to get somewhere with mine. I was told I had dumping syndrome. My symptoms have got so much worse over last few months... ive started being sick when I'm asleep...and I've lost a lot of weight. I get the shakes and extreme exhaustion aswell. I do have vitamin b12 and d deficiency which I've had for years.
Only problem when you have EDS everything else comes with it unfortunately!
The list just keeps adding up with all these diagnosis.
Even though it sucks now at least you have answers.
Here you eat scrambled egg on toast 🤢

Hi dear! Yes I know exactly what you mean about all the diagnoses adding up, it's like a domino effect. They do it with egg whites on toast here too, but I can't eat egg whites due to histamine intolerance from MCAS. Most foods with histamine send me into anaphylaxis! Take care and I hope you get help to better manage your symptoms! 💜

Hi, Isabelle! Thanks for sharing your journey!
I have a few questions. Forgive me if they seem strange. Of course, feel free to not answer them if you don't feel comfortable doing so. But if you do, maybe you could make another Q&A sometimes, if you ever run out of ideas for videos.
    1. Have you ever been to a Christian faith healer or called a priest or pastor to pray for you? I know that you're a Christian, and the Bible does recommend us to call the elders of the Church to anoint us and pray for us when we are ill.
    2. Do you have a list of all the herbal treatments you've tried over the years? I recall having asked this on Instagram some time ago, and you said you were going to DM me about it (or something like that), but I don't think you ever got to it because your illness flared up (perfectly understandable, don't worry about it).
    3. Do you have any other relatives besides your mother?
    4. Did you ever have any other pets besides Anne Purkins?
    5. I am not familiar to how things are in the USA (as I am from Europe). Does the state give you any sort of remuneration, like a pension or something, for being chronically ill / disabled?
Wishing you better times ahead and sending positive vibes! God bless you!

Hi Lucian! I'd be happy to do another Q+A, and I've actually been meaning to do an updated one where I'll answer everyone's questions I've gotten including yours! I'm so sorry about not getting back to your message, my inboxes are always overloaded and I can never keep up! Thank you for understanding. Take care =)

I go for my test today. I've been sick over a year testing for h pylori... negative... now gastroparisis ....no anti nausea meds that taste horrible today...my thoughts are so scattered today. They are already playing with fire by saying no coffee. Wish me luck on getting some sort of answer for why I'm nauseous daily for a year and a half.

  • @marlenafina3481

🎉Going for my gastro emptying test in 2 weeks. Recently found out i I have h pylori and saw two different gastro doctors with 2 very different approaches and quite honestly I don't trust either one very much. One did a stool test right away and gave me pain meds and nausea meds
The nausea meds made me constipated and feeling sicker so i discontinued them. The second doctor never gave me any pain meds and thinks it's gastroparesis. Except i got the results a few days afterwards and it is h pylori. I have an upcoming abdominal scan and the upcoming gastric emptying test.😢
