Update: I tested positive for severe Gastroparesis. And I wish it wasn’t the answer. Thank you for sharing this. I have pots and tomorrow is my gastric emptying exam. I have a lot of stress with test because of the doctors who have associated my negative tests with being psycho somatic. I know, my family knows, my regular doctors know, that I am not psycho-somatic. And even though I have had a lot of negative tests, I have had positive tests too. I just happen to not have the easy to diagnose results. The diagnosis process is so stressful and tedious. Knowing that my POTS can cause stomach issues makes me feel less scared about testing negative for other digestive conditions.
That is very interesting, thank you for sharing! I also have lots of bloating and discomfort, but this gives some insight. I'm definitely interested in hearing about the results of the new medication you will take for this. Glad that you can get some help for it! :)
I'm really struggling with dumping syndrome. Idk what to do about it, at my wit's end. Apparently POTS people are much more likely to have Rapid gastric emptying not slow.
I just had my gastric emptying study done and I could see at the 45 min mark nothing was in my stomach anymore. I'm assuming mine will come back with rapid dumping. I also have lots of bloating when I eat and weird alien like movements in my abdomen. I'm so hoping they figure this out for me. I researched that most pots patience actually do have rapid emptying of their stomach. I wonder if this is why I frequently see undigested food 🤔
So isn’t the digestion from dysautonomia which Potts is one type of dysautonomia. Some people have the digestive issue without pots but other dysautonomia system defects
Bonjour, je viens du Maroc, j'ai une paralysie intestinale, j'ai perdu beaucoup de poids, je me sens toujours plein et lourd, et il n'y a pas de médecin qui veut m'aider, je suis très triste
My question is because of the small exposure to radiation with the gastric emptying test is there a risk of getting cancer or a risk of hair loss because of that exposure to radiation with that test you took?
Hi I had this done also my test shows this Gastric emptying study shows emptying of 72% at 1 hour, 91% at 2 hours and 99% at 4 hours. Normal emptying values are greater than 10% at 1 hour, 40% at 2 hours, and 90% at 4 hours. Is that normal or not
Hi Whats sort of symtoms do you get ? i get lots of pain after i have a solid meal and its feels like its in the ctr of my chest i get bloating as well, Ive had a gastric bypass
@@hayesAlexa hi hi had gastric bypass in 2013 then gallbladder out in 2017 after six months started with pain after eating solid food got tested but not with solid food, but no answer what it could be, i thought it could be SOD valve had that tested nothing had pill cam through body nothing, so drawn a black to what it is, I know it's every real time and lasts for 45mins,
@@michaelm1keyhardy865 I hope things get better for you. it's sad how some doctors can't give a answer for what they suppose to specialize in now days.

Thank you! I watched both vlogs, and they really helped! My test is tomorrow morning.

Thanks for this video. I had this test a while ago. I have the opposite. I have a very SLOW digestive system. UGH
Did you ever get bad breath with this stomach problem?

So sorry to hear that. Sending spoons!

Yes I believe it's the Dysautonomia causing the GI issues not pots. Pots is a symptom of dysautonomia I thought.
This was very helpful. Thank you.
Hi, does this mean you digest and absorb food differently

I highly doubt it. Its probably just as bad as an x-ray and they do it on small children
@@lillian-xs1fg Yeah I did it an it was ok lol hopefully they said that in CT scans where exposed to way more not sure

What were your symptoms before ?
feel free to check out the first video I made about the actual test, I think i talk more about my symptoms.
Try the AIP diet.
Can you tell what were your symptoms, please.
I dealt with a lot of stomach pain and bloating for about a year.
@Steelers77 no i wouldn't describe it as burning.
@Steelers77 Gastric Emptying tests can help test for/rule out a variety of digestive issues. Might be worth a shot. Hope you find some relief soon!
When they let you go home after the test how long was it that you were there for?
my test took 2 hours. the max it can take is 4 to my understanding. don't quote me.
What is POTS?
Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, a form of Dysautonomia/ Autonomic Dysfunction
Our food is GMO'd to the max. No wonder we're having severe gastrointestinal issues.
Gmo's have nothing to do with how pots and dysautonomia effect digestion.
I agree.. I think were all having digestive problems in the USA because our food supply is basically garbage
@@MichiganFresh if that’s the case why weren’t people having these troubles 100 years ago 🤔
