- In this episode Chris installs a new Sparco steering wheel on the 68 Camaro. To make that possible we first go over how to install a hub adapter to adapt from the old 3 lug grant bolt pattern to the newer 6 bolt pattern on modern racing steering wheels.

That Sparco wheel looks amazing in your Camaro!
Hey, I'm somewhat new to the channel, but I must say, I am absolutely loving this channel! Keep up the great work!
keep making videos man they are amazing and i hope one day you can have the same fan base the mighty car mods does because with the videos that you are making you deserve it keep it up
What a cool down to earth dude you are, thanks for the vids man
Hahah - I love the channel, cars and progression, my mans!! Keep it up, don't change a thing!
Watching here almost 4 years later. This channel has grown so much.
Dude I swear to god since the last video I saw of you guys you've gained nearly 2k subscribers... Keep up the amazing work, you'll be going big!
+Javo Martin No kidding! I noticed the number of subs this morning & was like, when did B is for Build become a 10K sub channel!?!? A few days ago they were at like 5K. I mean, it is awesome & very much deserved, but it caught me off guard! Lol.
Your channel is amazing and your cars are also amazing, keep it up :D
as said a few weeks ago ,this channel is blowing up. keep it up ,well done :-)
Looking forward to more videos man!!!! Nice job
Wow! You guys are nearly at 10K already! That's crazy! I've been subscribed since you had about 2K! Haha.
I was dying at the old guys can't film comment! Worst tutorial on YT are made by 90 yr old men, & 10 yr old little boys.
Also dying at the steering detachable steering wheel thing! So true! That would be a nightmare for a daily.
loool that fast and furious scene you put in there killed me xD your awesome!
dayum, that wheel looks cool, already nearly at 10k!!!!!!!! insane growth speed
+TheEpicCrumpet I know right!? Ludicrous speed! 😂😂
+HawkeyeSTiGuy 30k now dayum
+James Cleghorn 35k @_@
182k ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I love your channel ! I'm subscribing
Good stuff man, nice wheel.
forget 10k this channel will get 100k subs in no time!
Currently 1.45 million
It makes me so happy that you just referenced Mighty Car Mods :D
The ending was actually really funny!
my coat rack holds my steeringwheel its ridiculous :D had to laugh so hard :D keep up the Good stuuff
that wheel looks great
Definitely the hungover Halloween episode
Just a quick question. when you took off the original wheel it was at a 47degree angle & when you put the new one on you put it on perpendicular, 90 degrees straight. So question is, did you straighten the old wheel out before taking it off or did you place the wheel on crooked ?
i don't even have a camaro but i still watch cuz its interesting
awesome vid :)
Hey uh first off love the builds.
I'm in love with that steering wheel. Should I get that one or the grip royal one. With a quick release or regular hub, does it make the steering wheel much closer to you?
Im adding a coat rack to my buy list for my steering wheel project :P
Good video man. I like your style and your editing of your videos! A lot of dedication goes into your projects and videos I can tell! I am going with a removable steering wheel with a hub lock just for the security stand point. My R32 GT-R is not going to be going anywhere where removing the steering wheel would be a problem for me, so I like the fact that it make it harder to steal the car with no steering wheel and a lock on the hub (went with NRG, video is on my channel if you're interested). Keep up the great content, Chris!
Hey Goode those wheel locks from nrg don't hurt to have but there are other vids out there that show they r pickable with a butter knife and supposedly there is only 10 key patterns that nrg uses
I just put the same wheel in my BMW E30. It feels so nice!
I LOVE the original '68 steering wheel.
woo new video yes!
The ending killed me!
Lol, it's crazy to think that 4 yrs after this video was posted you'd be working on a Lamborghini for Sema.. Good work brother...
cool car I love camaro
Damn that wheel is really good looking. Do you know if it's the same bolt pattern as the Momos? I have an adapter for my E36 M3 that I need to get out and get set up, I'd love to get that sparco wheel!
+T-WRX i think it is the same 6 bolt pattern as momo
were did you get that hub adapter
You could be my car painter now THATS scary hahaha
Where did you buy the hub adapter????????????
Can you drop a link for the grant adapter and the steering wheel please good sir
lol right when u were describing how to wire it up i already thought of a soln (before finishing ur vid)
i would have just wired that loose wire to one terminal and ground to the other, detach the spring and use and insulator or a paper to separate the sparco from the factory steering
Kind of late, but for the ground, that little metal triangular shaped thing on the edge of the Sparco horn button creates a ground when it comes in contact with the grant adapter, you just have the wire the positive from the horn.
Nothing better for a hangover than a B is for Build video
i feel you brother.. got the worst headache and dizzyness right now
Hey bro please I can't find that adaptor I even bought the same steering wheel but I went everywhere today couldn't find it & online I can't find the same one can you please send me the link of where you got it I would appreciate it.
did you find it ?
Does anyone have a part # for that adapter? Please?
the ending had me rolling. lmao
Thanks for posting these vids. Hopefully kids will take more interest in building cars and it wont die out and be replaced with cellphone pic apps.
The thought of the wires grounding while driving and constantly honking until you take the wheel off is halarious.
What about the mechanical issues you were having on the road trip back?
You should put all your social media links on the description. :thumbs up:
Silly question, but why didn't you just get a Sparco adaptor to go straight onto the '68 Camaro column, and remove the Grant adaptor all together?
Little late to the video but... what hub did you use?
pull fuse for horn?
where do you get all your remix music from
last part was actually funny lmao jajajajaj
If your still handing out car parts can I come stop by from Canada ?
What sparco steering wheel is this. It’s the perfect size
are you going to put the rocket bunny wing on the brz (the lip type one) and are you going turbo
+Ivan Huynh yeah i have a lip style one i want to start with. Also im not sure about the turbo, but im hearing some really good results coming out of tuning shops, so its looking likely.
+B is for Build how much cars do you own?
+CreepingWolf925 7 right now, I'll probably sell some soon
thats a lot of cars did u fix them all like the brz?
+CreepingWolf925 a lot of them but not all of them
Just out of curiosity you live near the Portland area? I know that it was flooded pretty bad because I live is Oregon as well. Man I think it's so awesome how you build cars and you're from Oregon !
+Cristian Silva yep im in portland, follow on facebook or instagram and ill post when im going to any local meets n stuff
Diggin the work+channel. One question that keeps glaring in my mind, how do you have time? Seems you are making a ton of progress are you doing that while working?
+BoogieDownProduction Well i just went back to work full time between this episode and the next camaro episode, you might notice how much darker it is outside while filming, thats because its later in the night and daylight savings time. Im really just trying to get to work, get home asap and get working on cars. Also i have alot of support from friends and family, they understand how much the channel means to me, so they give me a pass when I dont have a normal life anymore :p
B is for Build Thats awesome man. Finding time to work on cars between school and work is always a pain in the ass for me so I was wondering. Your custom fab is legit man respect, that grill came out really good
Glad I live in Central Maine. WRX may get keyed do to a hater in a parking lot or more likely a runaway shopping cart but loose a steering wheel not so much... aaha country life is good.
bruh friday u had 8k subs now pretty much 10k
How much would a 67 Camaro go for? The one with hidden headlights?
+Apollo oh man, no idea, probably be able to get 10-12K at this stage. Id never sell it for that though.
+B if for Build
Could you start posting the songs you guys use in the video description PLZZ? They're so good and kinda hard to find the exact ones! Would be ozzzemz :D
Loving the videos btw! Keep on keepin on
they are in the discription I'm pretty sure
+WizardSonmanerf They are now! Haha I'm not sure if they were there before tho.... i could have been blind and not seen em'
+cokeyed either way u are so right cuz the songs are great!
What happened to this car is it for sale?
Hey! How is the brz? When will you make another video on it?
+Joe Habashy They definitely will. Right now they have it at a dealership trying to sort out an engine no-start issue if I recall. They tend to bounce back & forth between the BRZ & other projects they have going on so they can keep videos coming out steady. 👍🏻
+HawkeyeSTiGuy sweet 👍🏼
So what are you doing with the drive train in that car?
+Gabe Hunt thatll be coming in future videos, serpentine belt system is first on the list.
auto or manual ?
you selling that sparco steering wheel?
Ayyyeeee bruv Tokyo drift reference 👌
first step is to make sure the front wheels are straight to make it easier
I got a question chris .. how do u make money ? or do u buy wreck or junk cars so its cheaper ?
+dyllenger Im a software engineer, and yeah i normally buy wrecked cars because its cheaper, and i also feel better doing stupid stuff to them if i buy them broken and fix them up.
B is for Build cool cool . an yeah I agree .. Would u recommend me getting a wreck car an fixing if for a first car cause the cars I'm looking at are 5k an I ant got that kinda money 😑
your car is manual or automatic
Hey you should be a meet up. I live in clackamas and would love to meet up with you. I'm rebuilding my miata at the moment.
Do a*
how come this playlist is the wrong way around?
I have to stop you at your point about someone breaking in and stealing your sweet wheel. I see where your coming from but if someone really wanted to take it, it would only be slightly harder to just take the bolts off holding it on anyways. I use to worry about that but I mean if someone wants it, they will take it. I knew a guy that had his wheel with him and his car got stolen. The guy who stole the car matched up the quick release with his own and took the car anyways. If you want that wheel to be safe just let your insurance know its price and they will cover it. Your premium will go up but that's the only sure fire way it will be ok. Anyways love your videos, keep it up.
Why are two videos in the playlist deleted?
+DarkNightmaresz whaaat!? ill check on it, i hope nothing is wrong
+DarkNightmaresz ok i figured it out, they were previous uploads that had copywrite problems so i deleted them, but they were just the same video as part5 with different music
+B is for Build ahh ok
It's a good theft deterrent just pop off wheel and throw it in the back seat on floor or under seat or in backpack
true Ive never had to worry about that I have a cheap car
xD 2:00 Olaf is on the center console hahahahahaha
+CreepingWolf925 i take him everywhere i go on roadtrips, my good luck charm
nice
You could be a auto painter, that would be scary as shit! Lol
Can't want for the double Din stereo!! I got an old car myself and I am wondering very much how you gonna wire that bitch up in a car that is 50 years older!
BRZ pleasee!!!
I have no idea what made you think the Oem one was ugly. New steering wheel is trash.
296,332
Or unhook wire to your negative battery terminal.
i've never gotten the purpose of quick releases
+zum For racing, a quick release wheel would allow for easier entrance or exit of a vehicle with a roll cage, but for daily use, I don't get it either...
+zum This doesn't apply to everyone, but I'm 6'4", and it's awkward to hop in anything but a truck, because your legs have to contort to avoid the steering wheel... Also, its theft proofing. Everyone I know that has a quick release takes their wheel with them.
+MEno Gusta where do they put it? I feel like if I had a quick release I would put it on the floor or something were they can't see it.
Garrett Bradley Either you put it on your dash if you don't care, or you just take your wheel with you.
MEno Gusta who the hell carries a steering wheel with them everywhere?
Make sure your steering wheel is straight before you pull the old one off otherwise you won't know if the new one is going on striaght
PJ DM an alignment fixes that
I don't run a horn. xD
I never use horns, ever.
I rarely use it but people fall asleep when theres a long red light ... gotta wake em up somehow
Keepo Hdee
That's what the skinny pedal is for!
Just give 'em some revs!
Maccaroney Good idea, if only my car was louder. I gotta do something about that soon but dont wanna straight pipe it or spend a shit ton of money on a good exhaust any ideas?
Hit the forums. Search what other people with the same car that you have have done for exhaust.
Keepo Hdee buy a flowmaster 40 only 90 dollars and it should he no more than 50 dollars for a shop to weld it on
11:46 you could be a professional painter
There was a guy at work that had a Beemer with a removable steering wheel. He carried it into work everyday.
get a new horn lol
complains old people dont know how to take a video, spent most of his lowering spindle vid filming the back of his head. also you should have covered your glass when you painted cause in the end i could see black overspray on all your windows
"Old people have old cars and don't know how to film anything" Give me a break
damn bro... you are ruining this camaro. I can't watch this series anymore. love all your other builds but you are going in a very poor direction with this car. sparco steering wheels and mesh wheels don't belong on pony cars... it's just not right
Alex Caulfield hes building the car the way he wants you should respect that
It’s wet I like it a new taste on a old car
