what size Holley display are you using?

It is the 6.86, the price on the 12 has essentially doubled since it came out and I can't stomach paying that much for one.
BUT, im really really happy with the 6.86, and this one comes with LED's indicators that the 12 inch doesn't have so thats pretty neat!

Put your switches on your side of wheel and ring and that should space it out

I ended up putting a 70s style mopar “tough” wheel in my 91. What a pain! Had to use an adapter from (of all things) a 1978 adapter can from a 78 Aspen, then welded the original Dakota wheel spline thread piece into the tough wheel can. Looks great, but a ton of work lol. New wheel looks great on your truck! Nothing is easy it seems!!😂

Dang, yeah that seems like some work! I'm so new at welding I wouldn't be comfortable doing it on a steering component but that's a pretty ingenious way to make it all work. Tuff wheels are rad! And really fit the Mopar aspect, I bet it looks nice in your truck

Great video! Not a criticism, just a question... if the clockspring connector hadn't been broken getting it out, could you have adapted it over to run the original horn wires to the horn button on that wheel? (If the horn button fit, I mean...)

I dont think so, its much larger than the aftermarket wheel, and has to be removed for the adapter to fit. I bet someone could 3d print something for the cancel cam, but I dont think you can get the horn to work without a really early column because they were the same as GM

I was tempted to do so, but I found a way to make it work. I cut the button apart, and was able to use the spring in it and the button cap/trim ring to hold it in place. Looks nice now!
More Vette stuff coming once this weather calms down and I can get it in my shop

Is that reversion raceworks dash bezel? Could have sworn I recommended them, but I cant find the comment.

It is! Not sure if you did or not, I saw these first on the first gen Dakota group on FB. It's a great piece, we have one for another truck and the 12 inch also.

@@RacerXGarage Yeah that's where I saw it as well. Picked up a 12 to put back for future plans. I hope the best for the company and they are great guys, but no way I was risking missing out on such a great piece.
