What annoyed me is how they allegedly collected all the blood of the avengers and how the president still distrust skrulls to the point of making them a national enemy. And they straight up disrespected Maria hill, the show destroyed them as characters.
The fall of the MCU is honestly comedic. After a disastrous phase 4, Antman 3 was needed to reignite interest in the MCU, kick off a whole new phase, and introduce the next main villain. It cannot be understated just how much was riding on that one movie, so this was it! ... Antman 3 became the biggest flop in MCU history. But by some miracle of God, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 came out afterwards and was an absolute masterpiece. It managed to do what Antman 3 couldn't and reignite hype in the franchise. They were given a second chance! ...And they immedietly botched the second chance by releasing Secret Invasion, whose finale became the lowest rated thing on Disney+.
And then they sank even deeper with The Marvels (which wasn't worse than Ant-Man 3 IMO, but its box office will definitely have big repercussions for Marvel).
I haven’t even seen this show (I’ve stopped caring about spoilers), but it’s obvious that this is proof that if Marvel wants to properly adapt stuff, they should take notes from Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes cause that adapted Secret Invasion so well that I’d say it’s contender for the best part of that show. Seriously, why wasn’t this an Avengers movie, that could have been the best way to establish the post-Endgame Avengers before Kang Dynasty and Secret Invasion and they could’ve had Phase 4 building up to Secret Invasion as the finale to that phase like seeing more and more Skrulls that clearly aren’t on the heroes side and maybe even seeing heroes being replaced until the new Avengers team is brought together to stop the Skrull invasion but they’ve gotta deal with distrust issues because for all they know, one of them is a Skrull, heck that could’ve even made Skrull Rhodey work by doing something similar to Rhodey like EMH did with Captain America where we see him in an early project and see him get replaced which could even be the first moment where Marvel basically told us that story was coming, and when Secret Invasion happens, Rhodey leads an escape mission on a Skrull ship to get back and help the team. For crying out loud Marvel, the comic, EMH, great blueprints right there for a great finale to Phase 4 or even 5 that could’ve done the source material justice and established the new Avengers team, but no, instead the BEST decision was to make it a bit of a lower scale show with no Avengers, with no buildup, which is the third project in Phase 5, and now they’re gonna have to establish the new team in the Multiverse Saga’s freaking Infinity War equivalent!
I swear The Marvels better take place before Secret Invasion otherwise I'll just be wondering why Giah isn't called and why should I care about Fury anymore.
@@GIGio_Official I’m willing to believe otherwise. Sure, the First Ms. Marvel was bad, but not enough to ruin the other movies, especially Endgame. But Secret Wars is awful, and honestly it’s a lot worst than She-Hulk.

3:16 THANK YOU! So happy you pointed that out! I won’t lie! I was invested in this show for this First opening! But upon looking back it is Severely Crippled by the Fact that this show did not Recognize that Plot Thread! And not just that Plot Thread, but also because we never built up to this!
2:23 this might be the stupidest reason for any MCU antagonist and that says a lot. How can sı many aliens be dumb enough to think that Furry, a human who hasn’t even been beyond the Moon, can find them a new home planet? Why would any of them beleive he could do that? And they must beleive he was capable of it because they aren’t mad at Carol, the person who spent almost everyday since 1987, in space but the guy who has been Earth all this time. It's not like Furry promised them to find a place for them on Earth or they think that he lied to Carol that the Skrulls wanted to stay on Earth to make her stop looking so he could keep using them. Even the space stuff he did was with the Skrulls help, he can’t do space stuff on his own because Earth isn’t that advanced They are just mad at the kid they met on the street because he didn’t fullfil his promise of giving them a private island if they bought him some beers
This comment is hilariously true. Like the only arguments I can see if that Fury wasn't straight up when he realized he couldn't find a planet for them, but then again they weren't honest with him with how many Skrulls where on earth. so wtf are they mad about?
Imma say it... MCU should've ended in Endgame. Sure, we would've missed out on Ms Marvel (I had no issues with that series or the character), Kate Bishop, Moon Knight, Werewolf By Night, and Scarlet Witch (before MOM almost destroyed her character). Other than that, I would've been fine if the MCU concluded when Endgame ended.
I only watched the first ten minutes, till the part where maria hill had a gun om talos and the only thing he had to do to convince her it was him, is to transform into the bad guy from rogue one and that's it, that made me realize that neither maria nor fury had any way of identifiying skrulls that were or their side apart for them turning allways into the same human person. And that lead to a few realitations, they would have no way of recognising talos or any of the skrulls on their side under a undercover mission withouh having them turn into the predeterminated human face they have when it woul be safer to just have a code frase followed up by a personal cuestion, second, they would not know if someome was trying to impersonate talos, because every skrull can turn into the bad guy for rogue one and just trick fury into beliving they are talos. Third, this implies that neither fury nor the skrulls are using their powers to their full potential, because if all the skrulls have one human face that they allways return to, that would made them identifiable to humans, that would be far more dangerous than just hop from person to person every certein piriod of time of if one of them is too exposed and fourth and probably the worst, it is really stupid for the main bad guy to do the same, the leader of a terrorist group to have a recognacible human face, especially when you realice that he used that face to both the moscow atack, when he's suposed to be american, and the us president atack, when he's suposed to be rusian and yeah I know even if both partys had security cameras or witneses that picked up his human face, they would not cross check references to see that the same person lead both atacks, but still, I got one more cuestion. Where do they get their human faces? Because talos and ghia look like famous actors lile ben mendelshon and emily clark, and they copy DNA too, so are they leaving these actor's blood in these random places? And even it is not from them, the poeple they stole the faces from, would still have records and lives, that would not only make the skrulls more identifiable, but put random people at risk if they are identify, but lets go back to gravik, because he does the same thing, but i'm going to ignore russia because they would not have acces to US records even if they picked up the face of the dude that verry ovbiously pressed the botton that blew up the bomb and they alredy think the US did it. But the US goverment would be very interested in finding that meta that just atacked the president, and they would be most likely to found out the real person's US records of a desapiered presumed dead person with no conection to russia whatsoever and a family or reason to leave the states and that is if gravik isn't unlucky enough to take a random turist witha US visa and the goverment just start blaming another country like the UK of the atack and his plan of puting the US against russia goes to shit. Anyway, thank you for coming to my TEDxTalk
I know you said you're glad Tony Stark is dead so they can't assassinate his character, but nake no mistake, that won't stop them. The instant they think it will help them, the MCU writers won't hesitate to dig up his corpse and make it dance like a marionette.
@@GIGio_Official Yeah, if the MCU ever brings back Tony Stark just to ruin him, a LOT of people are gonna suddenly find themselves in need of new furniture.
One thing I did wanna point out is the fact that the President said and I quote: "I'm presenting to Congress for immediate emergency authorization a bill that designates all off-world born species as enemy combatants." Let that sink in. Not just the Skrulls but ALL extraterrestrial life with how he said it... meaning that Groot, the other Guardians and anyone hero who wasn't born on Earth now has a bullseye on their back. I know there may be some writing/plot hole in there that circumvents it but you gotta imagine this not going down well with them. Which now that I think about it, it'd end horribly considering there's several heroes born off-world or some species that may not be a threat.
I would’ve had Giah get sick of being used by both sides, get the powers, beat Gravic and just warns Fury never to come after her before she leaves the earth. There! She’s been used for so long that now she’s only out for herself and then there’s no questioning where she is.
Instantaneous power scaling. Either the super skrull formula dissipates in a short time, or there's no reason for Giah to be the most powerful hero or villain in the MCU aside from the I-don't-wanna plot device.
I think the show is worse than She-Hulk, because it actually retconned some of the foundation and emphasized the spectacle and shock value over the consistency.
34:20 Oh Gio, you're overthinking this! This scenario totally worked out in Devilman when the world was lied that humans could be turned into demons and anyone could be one...
Personally i just cant fathom a reason for them to not make samuel jackson cool. Secret invasion and captain marvel just blew his character into chunks.
I was interested in seeing this show out of the claims that it would be different and be more serious than most of the MCU. Sadly, it didn't land my expectations and I should've known it would be another abysmal Disney+ Marvel show. Now we have to add Nick Fury to the cast of legacy characters that have been ruined by not just Marvel Studios, but by Disney since they pretty much ruin everything they're involved with. I'm really tired of being let down like this and it's probably would've been better that the MCU just ended after Endgame. Phase 4 could've been an epilogue phase that would consist of Spider-Man: Far From Home, No Way Home, Hawkeye and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. They would certainly need reworking from what we got, but it would be a satisfying phase to wrap up character arcs and give a farewell to the MCU. Anyways, great video as always Gio!
Thanks bro! Glad you enjoyed. And yeah it's really sad. It's why i called this show Marvels biggest mistake. It just keeps taking these legacy characters and fucking with their history. And the new characters they do add are for the most part one dimension and bland. If it isn't clear already I'm terrified to see that Marvel has in store for the future
Recently there has become a trend where Entertainment you have to pay for (movies, TV shows, Video Games) are getting more expensive yet the quality is worse. We are expected to pay for mediocre, badly written shows and movies and games that are riddled with bugs and bad consumer practices. It seems that all these companies with to much money on there hands, think that we will pay for whatever they give us. Even if it is worse than my math exam grade
This is so true, the focus has been on spectacle rather then telling a compelling story with interesting characters. And don't get me started on games nowadays.

Gio, you should really watch loki season 2. I remenber you having a problem with loki due to the show destroying the stakes of every mcu project. However the finale of season 2 seems to have fixed that problem, while giving loki an amazing character arc (especially when looking at his character in Avengers 1).
I don't buy that Rhodes has been there since Civil War. Saying it's the same hospital gown proves nothing since hospital gowns are made and bought in bulk. Not made for each hospital. As someone with a serious spinal injury Rhodes would need constant monitoring and scans to keep an eye on things. Not to mention as a guy who is almost 60 he's got screenings for cancer and other pleasantries to look forward to that all require him to wear a gown. I think it was the director who claimed Rhodes had been there since Civil War but he said that was his opinion and nothing official. Unless something happened since then I refuse to believe they were that stupid as to make all of the moments Rhodes had between Civil War and Falcon and The Winter Soldier basically meaningless. Especially Tony's death and Rhodes reaction. If that was a Skrull just to create a terrible bad guy in an awful series I'm not sure that can be forgiven.
I mean for me and there is nothing in the show to contradict that. I find it hard to not believe him. It also helps that everyone was just shoved into the machine wearing whatever so i don't see the the Skrulls changing Rhodey's clothes and that was the only significant moment in the MCU where he was wearing that. On top of his legs being weak coming out of the pod

@@GIGio_OfficialThat's very unsurprising.
@@GIGio_Official wow. Thank god I didn’t watch secret invasion. Lol
4:21 : Yeah, that’s my reaction to the show too 🤢🤮
The fall of the MCU is honestly comedic.
Your analysis of this and other shows are so on point. Keep it up sir!
Thank you bro, that means a lot! Hope to keep improving my content
X-Men Evolution had a much more mature Fury . . . and a better shapeshifter infiltration, and more political intrigue
Great analysis Gio, the animations were awesome. Loved the Rasengan 😂
I swear The Marvels better take place before Secret Invasion otherwise I'll just be wondering why Giah isn't called and why should I care about Fury anymore.
It won't. I can already feel it. Because Marvel just loves to watch its universe burn
@@GIGio_Official
I’m willing to believe otherwise. Sure, the First Ms. Marvel was bad, but not enough to ruin the other movies, especially Endgame.
But Secret Wars is awful, and honestly it’s a lot worst than She-Hulk.
8:10 The funny thing is, John Walker actually becomes U.S. Agent in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, so that sentence was unintentionally funny for me.
How are all the people who were captured by skrulls not killed by radiation???

3:16 THANK YOU! So happy you pointed that out!
I won’t lie! I was invested in this show for this First opening! But upon looking back it is Severely Crippled by the Fact that this show did not Recognize that Plot Thread! And not just that Plot Thread, but also because we never built up to this!
I was stunned when i realized how quickly they screwed up the show. Like they where trying to speedrun that shit
I don’t know if you’ve done it or plan on doing but do you think you can do falcon and the winter soldier?
Maybe one day. I do have a plan for older shows that i havent discussed yet, but thats down the line when i can get some help with making these videos
Oh Gio you poor sap….23:50,they still might, don’t forget Ironheart and Armor wars are still in the works.
Ima see AI Tony and have a damn conniption
Even the space stuff he did was with the Skrulls help, he can’t do space stuff on his own because Earth isn’t that advanced
They are just mad at the kid they met on the street because he didn’t fullfil his promise of giving them a private island if they bought him some beers
I agree. Unfortunately the MCU still makes so much money that Disney can just put out crap without caring

Precisely
I had a feeling that this show was going suck despite it not being faithful to the source material. But I had no idea it was going to be *THIS* bad.
We all had some hope.... and we just got bitch slapped
I know it's a possibility, but the day i see it, is the day i loose my mind on camera
@@GIGio_Official Yeah, if the MCU ever brings back Tony Stark just to ruin him, a LOT of people are gonna suddenly find themselves in need of new furniture.
21:07 😂man awakens his 2nd tomoi Sharigan at the mention of Nick Fury
That rasengan took me by surprise 😂
It had to be done
Fuck.. Rhode deserves a mini series. He's going to find out some crazy shit
Love your videos, Gio. You did fantastic with this video. I responded to your DM on Twitter X just so you know.
Thank you so much Trevor! Glad you enjoyed the video
36:40 Prioritizing moments over consistent storytelling.
I think the show is worse than She-Hulk, because it actually retconned some of the foundation and emphasized the spectacle and shock value over the consistency.

It's amazing how they messed up so bad like it's a good story in the comics.
Secret Invasion could’ve been avoided if the skrulls ask Starlord’s help since he’s on Earth during the events of this series.

39:15 this is gold
Can't expect much when you have a DEI writing team.
Didn’t watch the show but this shit is baffling
It was a painful watch
Recently there has become a trend where Entertainment you have to pay for (movies, TV shows, Video Games) are getting more expensive yet the quality is worse. We are expected to pay for mediocre, badly written shows and movies and games that are riddled with bugs and bad consumer practices. It seems that all these companies with to much money on there hands, think that we will pay for whatever they give us. Even if it is worse than my math exam grade
This is so true, the focus has been on spectacle rather then telling a compelling story with interesting characters. And don't get me started on games nowadays.

while it was a horrible show it had some good scenes nick fury wasn't a great carechter but Samuel l Jackson did a great job
I will never Disrespect Samuel L Jackson. The man did the best with what he was given
Gio, you should really watch loki season 2.
You know, Marvel have it bad if marvel want you to lie about their show is good😮💨😮💨 also making a overpowered character gets boring sometimes what the point of having a character who's flawless
I think a character can be overpowered and flawed, problem is marvel has no idea how to make one of those anymore.

Oh my god this show was *so* much worse than I even realized. Maybe it did deserve to get kicked while it was down... I honestly didn't think it was that bad, like it wasn't great, but it was watchable. I liked Gravik as a villain, I thought he was one of the better recent MCU villains (which, sure, isn't saying much, but still). But having all of the show's problems laid out like this... This show is a *lot*. I don't know if I can make myself hate it like most of the internet, but I can understand why people do.
That is very fair. I'm able to despise this show as much as I do because of what they did to Nick Fury.
You know at first I thought this was a Good Idea however as Time Passes I realized this Series was a Huge Mistake when Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and Battle for Earth Adapted the Comic much better as it has the Main Reason why Secret Invasion was so Popular in the First Place, it’s both a Avengers and a Marvel Crossover Event of Shapeshifting Aliens Imitating the Heroes and Villains pulling the Strings of taking over the Planet, Without any of those Important Ingredients We get a Otter Mess of a Dumb Show with Nick Fury being a Stupid and Useless Main Character that never learned from his Mistakes and showed that Samuel L. Jackson can’t do good Series Appearances, Gravik is a Delusional Mad Man and not in the best way that instead of wiping the Human Race to give his Species a Future He does the Dumb Actions that makes Chest look Easy than this Man Child and this next Topic affects a Main Problem but before that let’s talk about Giah, the Most Boring Female Protagonist in the MCU with Unlikable Traits and Dry Personality that is Impossible to Relate that she’s literally a Brie Larson Clone and how much lack of Character Development she has, I felt absolutely nothing about this Soulless Mannequin that leds me to my Next Point that relates to both Gravik and Giah on how they Ruined the Real Factor the Skrulls are Popular, how in all the 10 Hells did Marvel Studios screwed up the Super Skrull Concept, I Love the Super Skrull, it’s one of my Personal Favorite Marvel Villains as the Idea of a Threat having a Combined of Powers is Simple but Affective and it can Work better Nowadays as Kevin 11, Chameleon, Khameleon, AMAZO, and Taskmaster(the Real One) are living proofs that a Character with Combined Powers can work and has this Idea of Either learning to combine to Abilities into One Stronger Attack and have the Idea of Controlling It or if it Corrupts You, instead this Show created more Problems with it and Giah being OP is Stupid as HellSonia was Fine but it also ruined a Underrated Marvel Character called Union Jack which I would rather see more of Him than Her, were the Heck is the Skrull Queen Veranke which is one of Marvel’s most interesting Complex Villains and more importantly the Main Antagonist of Secret Invasion, and Finally you already talked about Rhodey Skrull problem but the main Issue I have with this Pointless Series in the Bill of Eliminating all Off World Born Species and Hunting Them Down which creates a Problem as it also means it’s the Same with the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Asgardians, Gods, Monsters, and Unknown Aliens, anyway this Series is a Mess to the Lore than in my Mind it does Exist and isn’t Canon, this Review has more Effort than that complete waste of my Time and I’m looking forward to your next Video Gio.
Always love your comments Guardian! Marvel just can't make complex characters anymore Giah is op as fuck but doesn't have a personality. Gravik could be interesting but is just a moron, and not to mention how all these huge revelations in this show are never going to be address again instead of a throwaway line.
