The Intamin Hyper idea is great. But imagine a B&M Hyper that is also a terrain coaster going over those hills. Now imagine it as a hybrid between Shambhala and Mako.
So you referenced "rumors" but didn't mention that Dollywood sent out a survey with three ideas. Indoor themed coaster was on the list. I think that's by far the best fit. Dollywood is a theme park with a family focus, not an amusement park that focuses on teenagers. It doesn't have a traditional dark ride but Blazing Fury basically fills that roll. But themed rides make sense there. I think the perfect fit would be a Wildwood Grove take on Verbolten but built by Premier Rides or Vekoma. Both companies have done highly themed indoor launched coasters when you look at Disney and Universal. It would just be a question of whether or not Dollywood wants to put that kind of money and effort into the theming. We've seen Herschend invest a lot of money in the last decade, especially on Dollywood. Dollywood has already said that this will be their last major investment for a while. I think Dollywood's GP already see Wild Eagle as their big intimidating coasters due to its height and visual prominence. While I'm sure the enthusiasts would love a hypercoaster or some new coaster type, I don't think Dollywood needs to chase that crowd. An indoor themed coaster (Mystery Mine doesn't count) would really be excellent and complement the park perfectly.
Couldn’t agree more with what you said. Dolly herself even referenced that she wants “her park” to emulate Disney, with more theming and adding more resorts. Dollywood already has a great lineup of coasters, but in order to get within range of Disney/Universal they need to up their game with family rides... and like you said theming. The latter costs a lot of money and is a reason why most parks don’t or simply can’t afford it. Although I think a phase two of Wildwood Groove lends itself to something with quality theming. Personally I think the park needs more dark rides, yes Blazing Fury technically checks that box, but Dollywood deserves a new state of the art dark ride- I mean Six Flags even has the Justice League attraction which is pretty impressive for their standards. I think a trackless dark would be fun, and would give guests another attraction to ride when the weather is not good or during holiday events.
I personally talked to an employee, and asked why Lighting Rod was always down? She juts said what was happening, and said that Dollywood actually went to court and, she said that they will never have another Coaster by RMC, so probably not a Raptor. It would be cool but probably not
Lightning Rod's problems lie with the launch system designed by Intamin, not with RMC, who did everything else. Every other RMC has a chain lift hill and works great. Dollywood probably wouldn't get a RMC Raptor because the 2 original models only have 8 single file seat trains and are very low capacity. Most hypers hold 28-36 people per train and Mack Spinners hold 16, which allows for much greater riders per hour.
B&M hyper seems to be the most fitting pick. There’s a good chance they go with that. Although I’d like to see something else, B&M hyper would be a great fit and help bolster that lineup. You should do a whats next for six flags gadv:)
Great vid. Another coaster I could see down there road somewhere and have to be differnt is a chance Hyper GT-X. But make it to hold the crowds. Also do a vid on Kentucky kingdom
I see the extreme spinner more than anything. Silver Dollar City got one and they are sister parks. Typically when one park gets a ride then the other does as well
Any of the options you mentioned would be welcome. I love Dollywood and see them as a park that knows how to take care of the people. So I could totally see them going with a GP favorite type of coaster over another aggressive enthusiast style like lighting Rod this time around. They just added the beautiful family area and gave them a solid family coaster at Wildwood Grove and its time for a big one in the next 2 years. While I don't like Mack as much as many do these days I think the success of Time Traveler at their sister park will have some sway. I could easily see a Mack launched spinner coming. But my official guess is going to be a B&M Hyper in the same mold as Candymonium. Not what I would like best but that's what I expect. Ps. My top choice would be an Intamin Hyper for the exact reason you stated. It would be the only Intamin Hyper in Appalachia or anywhere around. oh man would I love that! or could you imagine a Giga at Dollywood????? =0 Great vid dude. keep up the good work!
I feel like it is more likely for a launch because I don’t know of any hypers that can fit in that space due to the fact that they are usually out and back. If they use the regular wildwood and expansion then I do find a hyper likely
Great Video. Can You make an What's next Video for toverland. Their Last coaster was the massive B&M Wing Coaster Fenix that opened in 2018. Do You have some ideas for the Park in the netherlands.
A Mack hyper would be outstanding. DC Rivals has rave reviews, and it would be the 1st in North America. Plus who wouldn't want a backward riding rear train on a hyper.
Not disagreeing with your choice of a Mack Hyper, but I think backward facing last car was more of a custom order by Warner Bros. Movie World. I think if Dollywood went this route, we'd be looking at a completely custom coaster and they would opt for the capacity of a standard 4 seat last car.
@@timk987 Absolutely it would be a custom layout. And Dollywood might not have the last car backward. I just hope they would do that option. I do believe that Warner Brothers movie world charges a little extra to ride it and gives the money to charity.
C R Dollywood is beautiful park but the only reason why I would go is to ride Lightning Rod or Wild Eagle other than it’s just a credit park not a enthusiast park like CP or SFMM ect.
I apologize for the mispronunciation of Plopsaland. *Plopsaland not Plopsalandia.
A poll was already sent out in 2019 for spin coaster/b&m hyper/ or indoor theme coaster
Let's hope for a even better time traveler
i would like seeing a vekoma hyper/giga be built here tbh.
You really have one of the best opening montages out there, well done.
I see you have used the earth 🌍 studio! Very nice. I have been working on a lot of footage with that for the last few months. Great Video!!!
The Intamin Hyper idea is great. But imagine a B&M Hyper that is also a terrain coaster going over those hills. Now imagine it as a hybrid between Shambhala and Mako.
I like the idea of the intamin hyper/ Mack hyper

nice video zach its me from your math class i sit next to you (to the left)

Anthony Dean Thanks for bringing that to my attention! If true that changes my perspective on RMC and Herschend.

You should never really trust what a park employee says. Information like new rides is never shared with anyone besides the people running the park.
@@coasterkamikaze6812 well i mean what she said, ended up being true so i still believe her haha
Put a B&M Hyper Coaster in this Park
B&M hyper seems to be the most fitting pick. There’s a good chance they go with that. Although I’d like to see something else, B&M hyper would be a great fit and help bolster that lineup. You should do a whats next for six flags gadv:)
Keep doing good videos Like this
Thnk u for the vid, i'm new to ur channel & cn't wait to c wht the nxt coaster is gnna b @ Dollywood & wht else tht Wildwood Grove Phase 2 will b.
RMC LIGHTNING ROD BOYS YEAH
jasonbtw congrats! You solved the mystery of Dollywood 2021!
WIldwood Grove is a family area in a family park. I don't see a huge coaster coming.
I personally think it would be a great spot for an RMC Trex. Dollywood has the space and the funds to do so.
I want to see a new Vekoma the most
i would like to see a hyper or crazy cool indoor coaster. and a fun dark ride lol
Great vid. Another coaster I could see down there road somewhere and have to be differnt is a chance Hyper GT-X. But make it to hold the crowds. Also do a vid on Kentucky kingdom

Great vid dude. keep up the good work!
It would be nice to see a b&m hyper but make use the terrain
One thing to consider would be Tennessee FAA height restrictions...
Can you do another Q&A livestream? The first one was great! 👍
Love the video!
N0VA24 • Yeah I can do another one

4:07 FORCE FULL yes please
Raptor would be nice
I’m going with a B&M hyper or a spinner. Both would be cool.
Will Dollywood get a rmc t rex coaster
They're definitely in need of a giga SLC! /s
Just got my 2020 DW season pass!
That land looks like it is begging for a dive coaster
I think they will get some sort of custom intamin blitz or Mack multi launch
Have you ever thought about a dive coaster for Dollywood?
4:58 -Tip: If watching an 8 minute video takes up to much of your time, you can up the playback speed or refrain from commenting.
I'm sorry. I need to work on refraining from commenting myself sometimes. but about the 5 minute mark he does touch on the Dive.
Tim K sometimes my mouth gets ahead of me and I talk to soon
Most likely: zamperla volare
It would be really cool if you do a video on europa park or efteling 2021 edition.
Where is part one?
I dont see them making another coaster like mystery mine; it breaks down a lot.

Least likely: golden horse “dive coaster”
Most likely: Vekoma SLC
Idk, with the increased price of steel I can't see a large scale B&M being too likely, unless Trump finally decides to remove the terrifs.
RMC
Dollywood has a ok coaster line up i would not say great.
When Lightning Rod is down (which is very often) it's an average line up at best
C R Dollywood is beautiful park but the only reason why I would go is to ride Lightning Rod or Wild Eagle other than it’s just a credit park not a enthusiast park like CP or SFMM ect.
C R The only thing I am worried about is them slapping another Mako clone here witch I am not gonna be surprised about.
