Daredevil Falls is a water ride located in Dollywood, consisting of a pipe-like tunnel and a 60 degree drop. The ride opened in April 1998 as a replacement of the old Flooded Mine attraction like the one at the sister park to Dollywood, Silver Dollar City , and was manufactured by Hopkins Rides of Contoocook, New Hampshire.
Riders board on a log themed car and go into a pipe. As the vehicle enter the pipe, there's a fluttering noise and red eyes glowing. Riders leave the pipe and there is a bear wrecking a tent. The vehicle makes a sharp turn and goes up a steep lift hill. Once on top, there is a saw coming towards the riders which then turns to the 60 degree drop and then take a sharp turn and pull into the station.

A few weeks ago I went to Dollywood for the first time, and without knowing what I was getting into the first ride I went on was Lightning Rod. I died for a minute
Now I want to go to dollywood. I love those kinds of rides
One of the best rides at the park. Started Dollywood‘s string of stellar additions all the way back in 1998.
Ohhhh yeah. '99 got Tennessee Tornado, '04 saw Thunderhead (my favorite wooden coaster at the moment), '07 saw Mystery Mine, I think 2012 was Wild Eagle, 2014 was Firechaser Express, and...2016 was Lightning Rod, I think. Haven't been since right after Lightning Rod opened.
I like Tennessee tornado
I like fire chaser
We are going here for a feild trip Tommorow SO EXCITED
It is a w park
The landscaping on this flume ride is incredible! Very scenic!
I would rather watch these then actually get on the ride lol.
Same here! Lol!
The ride is not scary it’s super fun! My home park is Dollywood I ride everytime I go
I went to Dollywood today. Dont go on wield egale or lighting poll. the rest are super gun
CasonCODM Wild Eagle and Lightning Rod are the two best rollercoasters there.
I’m at dolly wood rn and I’m in the 3 hour long dragon flier line
God, I loved this ride, the drop always freaks me out.
The feeling u get whenever u watch this or actually on the ride and I go down its like the raft jumps whenever it goes down and I can't see what will happen next
The water park and the coaster is fun to ride but damn the price of admission is out there this year..........
Still cheaper than Disney.
But everything in the park is much less expensive than other parks including food.
Totally worth it for me. Then again, I have a LONG history with Dollywood that dates back to at LEAST 2006.
@@KameWeeb Pssh, try 1999 buckaroo😂 this was my first “log ride”. I was telling my wife and daughter about it and got real nostalgic watching it. Great place.
Me and my family love this ride❤
Not being familiar with the rides at Dollywood, I kept looking for a "daredevil" (stuntman) to fall in the front row. LMAO! 😆
That’s how I read it!
i guess im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a tool to get back into an instagram account?
I stupidly forgot the password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
@Elon Kamden Instablaster :)
Robbie Hagberg is there rain expected to go on to all the time I think you should be fine with that you are not going anywhere with you and I can go back and get it tomorrow and I can go back and then go home and get it tomorrow and I can go back in the morning and I can go with you and I can get a pop up if you want them in the car back in I can go there and get it done before you leave me alone and I will get them tomorrow if I don't want them for me for anything else and I would like them for you for your help 🆘?
Sad to see very little theming, especially with so many great flume rides that could act as inspiration.
So exciting!
This reminds me of the log flume we had a Rocky Point Park in Warwick, RI. I wish I could of seen those seats. They look identical! This was the 90s when our park closed.
This was fun love water rides!!!!!!
Love this ride!!
Simple, peaceful ride with a good drop at the end. Feels like it could use a little something more though, but I'm not sure what.
Also interesting to see a chain lift on a log flume. Pretty much every other log flume that I've seen uses a conveyor belt for the lift.
The only other one I know of is Chiapas at Phantasialand
I see what you mean I never been there but something is definitely missing
The chain fits with the old-fashioned vibe
It could use a couple small drops before the end.
missing some country animals singing songs
Wow, the view right before the drop
Love this ride faced my fears of going down now I love it
I have rode this a lot and I love this ride
Dollywood is the only amusement park I have been to and I personally enjoy it very much,if you go there I would recommend The Dragonfly, The Firechaser Express, and the Wild Eagle ❤️ and all the water rides just bring an extra pair of clothes
I love this ride I love climbing up the best 😊
Wow that's a lot of amazing water.😊
Was on that ride about a week ago. Was great. Loved dollywood. Going back next year
What a great ride.😊
me and my family love this ride
Great camera work. Usually log flumes are hard to film the drop.
Wow that's quite a drop! I love how all the attractions use the topography of the site.
I was on this yesterday, it’s so much fun
I like that the water is rough through the channel. Much more fun than the peaceful slow pace a lot of flumes have.
Cool ride!!
I’m going to tmrw I’m so hyped
Oh wow, so funny ride. I wish we had it here in Sweden. 😍😍😍
What an awesome video
I remember riding this and I legit pasted out at the drop 😂
I remember riding that ride
That Rollercoaster is my favorite in DW.🎢
@Sebastian Freeman OK, a water slide-ride
*log-flume
This is a bit of a surprise. I didn't think you were one for filming log flumes.
That's a ride for Seniors. Videoing was stellar!
Love log flumes. But always thought Arrow should have put a little suspension on the wheels that bump into the sides. It's a bit jerky sometimes.
I was thinking that was an Arrow ride, by the sound of the lift.
Very jerky. Bumper cars are much smoother. Not a ride for me.
Looks fun.
I remember getting on the front seat one time and you get soaked but it’s super fun
This ride could use some addition of audio components to help with all the theming they placed.
I'm sad this was closed when I went to the park last year. It looks like a very strong log flume.
Awesome 😎
This looks quite rough going around the turns
Me and my friend, didn’t know you couldn’t put your stuff in bins, and when we got on our bags were completely soaked
Amazing ride!! Every year at the end of our school year my principal buys everyone in the school tickets to dollywood!!! Its a shame she isnt here with us anymore (went to a new school) but it was awesome! All of the food, and rides were payed for!!!
If you don't like this one or don't plan on it try the river rampage it's fun and you still get wet at the same time but I recommend this one
not much to it but very relaxing up until the drop 😅
I really wish this had a restraint or seatbelt component
Bro same it feel like u about to fall off
I wish this ride had restraints
why
@@wurlitzer78 Because I don’t wanna feel like I’m about to fly off the damn thing
1 hill ?? I can handle that Perfectly riding
No seatbelts lol I live 2 hours away from there and we go all the time I just hate not having seatbelts
It looks way higher in person trust me
Does that ride stope for you to get on
The track looks like rocks! Good theming. I wonder how much Dolly had to do with the design. I heard she hates thrill rides of all kinds.😊
I went on yesterday
Is the ride op reading a magazine? at 3:40? lol
I went on their ride
If your coming to town and going to be here a few days go to Food City and buy a yearly pass to Dollywood. Its cheaper by far this way.
Good but short ride Cjd 🌌
how high is the final drop?
59”
@@JAYLANDS1119 just a few feat taller then Splash Mountain in Cali
❤❤❤
No seatbelts lol I live 2 hours away from there and we go all the time I just hate not having seatbelts
DOLLYWOOD I'm going to go to DOLLYWOOD for this summer
I liked your video so you’d get the likes but this ride was very lackluster, I was very disappointed in it. Thanks for the POV
The only bad thing about this ride is they are no seat belts so when you go down that hill you pretty much r flying 😭
some atmospheric music would be nice, otherwise it looks like a fun flume ride.
i put my hands up last time and i pushed my feet against the floor board...and i turned out fine lol
Rode this once, hated that there are no restaints. Obviously you don't need them and it's a moving ride so you don't have time to be buckled and have someone check it.... but horrifying still
Just went to Dollywood and did not get on this ride, now I am glad I did not. It seems like all it does is go up and down without and real scenery. Knott's Berry Farm's log ride has a lumber mill theme and their are multiple scenes and drops to make the ride more fun.
Don’t knock it til’ you try it…
I almost died i hurt my knee when i fell in the floor going down that was 2 years ago tho
Dang
Hey
Does this ride have foot braces?
The only thing I’m scared of is the drops
Frightining in the water 🧐😳😬
But I can I can cover my eyes not see it
I work their when they open that ride
Miss work their
We are on the daredevil we are on the daredevil we are approaching a lift hill we are approaching a lift hill lol
All of that for one drop???
You go down the drop so fast you literally come up out of the seat
I promise it’s not as bad as it looks
Cute - but it’s no Splash Mountain
yeehaa
literally off-brand cedar point lol
2ay. Way too much admission cheaper to go to six flags
You get so soaked 😅
Daddy not like....
That ride was lame... the videoing was excellent though...
They literally set us up with this ride and didn't put lockers in this one, ON PURPOSE 😭😭😭
Could I ride barefoot
And ? Big deal !
I went on a ton of the rides they were way funnier and not as scary as they look
I'm sorry but that ride looked boring.
That was a weak ride. Should have been faster and a much longer water drop.
Learn to stop shaking the damn camera at the lift!!!! Hold it steady!
No. Just...no.
Ride looks nice but the scenery looks boring!
That was very boring.
Lame ride!
Boring
It’s a family ride lol
@@thatreviewguy7601 not all family rides are boring like the Dragonflyer and Firechaser Express.
It's definitely dated (opened in 1998) but it's still a cute lil ride ~
@@SarahEA1 dragonflies is actually a pretty intense ride for its reputation as a family coaster
