We left national trail and decided to hit up dragway 42 for a test session due to we are having issues with the car working in the heat of the day. we make a numerous amount of passes and multiple changes to try and better bad blood during the day! check out what we did.

I figured out why I like watching you so much. Entertainment value, sure. Racing, sure. It's the transparency when things go wrong that you openly talk about. I've watched a lot of other racers and they seem rather timid to talk about what's wrong whereas you just put it all out there. I respect the hell out of that, Justin. You got my support for life. Now fix the damn thing and bring home another trophy and some cash! :)
This team is just bad to the bone. People don't understand the amount of money it takes just to do test hits parts it's incredible. Love your videos I wish you the very best and always stay safe.

My concern is how the car tracks sideways.I understand rear steer,but it looks excessive!We love you guys,you’ll figure it out,no doubt!💪🏻
I would put the Car back on a Jig and check everything, that amount of rear steer would concern me, it looks like a Cup car coming down a straight part of the track
This is what I see too. It wants to go so had left that it is taking too much rear steer right. You can see it dog track down the strip. Doesnt look right to me.

Overhead video while backing up from burnout shows it very well. The car is doing the Crabwalk big time. The chassis is going straight, but the entire body looks crooked on the car. I don’t see this on other cars with big drivers and I have never seen the Lexus set up like this.

Justin when we had our Haas Ts car it was so sensitive to changes. 5.7 air pressure anything less tire shake anything more blow tires off. 5 inch wheelie bar height anything higher would hit bars to hard unload chassis. Your doing it right, small suttle changes 1 change at a time, have patience you will find that sweet spot.

Looks like you maybe should lower the wheelie bars , add more preload to the right rear on the 4 link , take some of the rear steer out of the car possibly , but you can clearly see the left side of the car is functioning how it should vs the right side not pre loading properly , would start with adding some flats or whatever raises the pass rear quarter upper bar on your 4 link set up , should make the car launch More strait in my opinion .. you guys have a killer car , your dads doing great tuning this combo , I sure would love to work on this crew and be able to master this combo !! Outside listening in, Sounds like you need another gear in the Trans for some top end.or maybe a slightly less gear in the rear for top end speed
Try tire psi. do you use different thickness in head gasket like top fuel for heat 🔥 keep digging hard work pays off 💪...keep living the dream ✨️

Is the rear still centered after adding rear steer? I know y'all know what you're doing better than me but I've seen simple adjustments put a setup out to left field pretty quick. The wishbone will kick the rear off center when you add rear steer and could make the problem you're trying to fix worse. I know Big Country can set chit up to hook on a dirt road but I think some simple adjustment is missing. Regardless, keep digging, you'll get it!!!

Have you ever laid a straight edge down against outer tire or better yet the rims. That thing just looks like you have 3 inches of rear steer. Set it up centers in the car then see how the front and rear track compared to dead straight. It moves over 10 inches to the left before the car moves off the line... I think it's in the chassis, If not check the hard parts for excess tolerances. Stacked tolerances and human error can sometimes add up. I've actually seen 1"-2" inches stack up on even the best fabricators. Hope you find it man. I just get flabbergasted when I see that ass end go hard left before the car goes forward.
@UKMechanic yes I know about rear steer, his car is very much more notable than any car I've ever seen.
@UKMechanic a lot of it is driver weight but I'm not convinced the car would try to drive around the weight that hard that it legitimately needs that much correction.

One thing some folks don't realize,, EVERY test hit Justin takes costs him not hundreds but THOUSANDS of $DOLLAR$,,, but it's a cost he MUST endure. The money comes to him by going rounds in an NPK race and taking the VICTORY cash to his bank account. Is the $40K plus round money enough? Nope,, it's not. Sponsorship, merch and RUclips is where the money comes from.
Oh, really...? Price that out for us! If he's on straight methanol, that's less than 2.40 a gal, and he's sponsored by VP Fuels, probably doesn't even pay for it, if he does, it's a good discount.
Bad Blood dog tracks down the track. Look at the rear of the car when its going down the track. The left rear of the car is way out there which is making this thing not so aerodynamic.

Justin, I don't know if it's just me but that car has always looked like it runs dog legged. It looks like the front end is to the right and the rear end to the left going down the track. I think you need to get that thing put on a good laser alignment machine and have it checked. Anyone Else see that or is just me?
@UKMechanic if that's what it is, then there is still something wrong. It shouldn't need that much rear steer in it. It's brushing off mph with that much rear steer in it, running down the track like that. Chinese Proverd "Sumting Wong!"

My opinion testing is more important than the race u need to have a full crew testing as u do racing. Big daddy Brian and your dad would have caught that loose fuel line. Make a check sheet for your guys.
Well..I will say I have been drag racing for 50 years and that's the very first time in my life have I ever seen someone take their cellphone and put it in the racecar with them
Then you haven't been watching racing for the last 15 years! Nearly all drivers have the phone with them and use a Dragy. Look that up, too.
