If you ok NOT having real tactile experiences , there are lots of cheap touchscreen laptop and old IPADs plus several apps which help you control (almost) everything better than mouse or computer keyboard . At least until you can afford to buy solid midi controllers . Right now I`m enjoying using my old Ipad 2 + Touchable + Midi Studio Pro and touchscreen laptop +XOTO PAD app, more than other midi controllers I`ve had . It will work both wireless or using one port USB . And since those apps also offer features to make custom layout and any kind of midi messages , I can literally can make virtual version of any midi controller I want or to suit my workflow better . The most obvious downside is you wouldn`t get tactile experience just like you`ve got with hardware form . And maybe you need to setup manually :)
Thank you for this video. I really would love to here your comments on keyboards. I have a 49 key, but I want to move up to 61 key. Also looking at having a separate fader controller for expression, etc
Hi! That's next week video. Short answer, if you are looking to play more piano arrangement, more keys is a good call. If not, just keep using the Octave buttons. And depending on your keyboard model you can assign different stuff to the controller Faders & knobs. I'll demo that in the video as well. Lmk if you have any other questions. :) Thx for watching. ❣️
Great content thanks, i'm looking for a good controller for Live performance ( mix dub music)... ! i'm just visiting your channel for the first time, good luck 🙏
@BigRasProd they have several models discountinued, look for them second hand. They are fantastic or any of the newer options. For Dub I really like the distribution of stuff that looks more like a mixer.
oooh no comments yet....weee let's comment then. Choosing controllers isn't easy. Good Reaper does recognize many but some we do know are not build for it but for specific daw, I have 2 companies in my links that does pretty cool controllers but they are not cheap

@@itsoundshuman Yes I'm looking for second hand... not so easy in France ! I've seen the Novation Launch Control XL but it looks cheap to me 🤓
