I'm forgetting the exact name but there was this one senior royal woman in the Mughal Empire who had objected to Khusrau being handed to Khurram (later Shah Jahan) as she knew that Shah Jahan would kill him. She said that it would start a procedure where Mughals would execute their entire families to become Emperor. If you look back before Jahangir, Humayun and Akbar had both faced rebellions from their brothers. But they both never executed their brothers, instead stripping them of their privileges and asking them to go for pilgrimage to Mecca. When Jahangir became Emperor, his two brothers Murad and Daniyal had already died. But Shah Jahan started killing his brothers and by 1628, he had killed all his brothers (Khusrau, Parvez, Shahryar). Shah Jahan then also executed Hoshang Mirza and Dawar Baksh, the sons of his uncles Murad and Daniyal. Later on these actions would come back to haunt Shah Jahan, when he would be deposed by his own son Aurangzeb. Aurangzeb killed Shah Jahan's favourite son, Dara Shukoh along with Shah Jahan's other sons. Aurangzeb also killed Dara's son Suleiman who Shah Jahan had considered the 7th Emperor.

I think today we can sit and jugde everything.. but back in the day life was only this . The war to get the throne was everything.. ppl thinking and mind sets evolve with time... May be 1000 yearz later ppl will feel we were alzo so wrong .
Ashoka was also very cruel who killed 2 lakh people in Kalinga (modern day Orissa). It is only after this that he had a change of heart and he adopted Buddhism. Pushyamitra Sunga, the last emperor of Mauryan dynasty, killed thousands of peaceful Buddhist monks of India and destroyed their monasteries. So cruelty is not confined to Muslim kings. Any king will become cruel if you get in his way.
Pushyamitra was not a mauryan ruler , he became emperor by killing his own king thereby ending mauryan dynasty .Also getting your own son's eyes out and playing cheap tricks to win battles was very common in mughal rulers than Hindu rulers , which is a fact🙂
Asoka did not have any change of heart. Asoka was a Buddhist way before Kalinga war. Asoka killed his own brother because he was a Jain monk. He killed his another brother and usurped the throne. So Asoka persecuted both Hindus and Jains. Also stop defending Mughals and Islamic rulers. Know that you are also defending slave trade done by them. Not all kings are cruel. Don't generalize just to defend your favourite Islamic rulers.
Yes Ashok was very cruel and remorseless and he was Buddhist before kalinga war, Pushyamitra sungha didn't persecute Budhhist the way he is portrayed, there's a podcast on vaad channel regarding that. The topic here is whether Mughals were the way mainstream media portrays them or they were very cruel. Comparing their cruelty to ancient indian kings is like comparing cycle with motorbikes. They were sadists.
She is not doing hindu vs muslim there. They were discussing about mughal empire Most of info in wikipedia like about khusro. shah jahan war of succesion.
If Jahangir can punish like that to his own son for being a Revolutionary, how could he have left the others who have helped him? Cruelty is in his blood, From Taimur to Genghis khan, From Babar to Akbar. & Call it anything but it's the thing which is essential to sustain 'The Empire'.
Bro Kushrau Didn't liked jahangir and also wanted to kill him ... Jahangir had two sons Khurram and Kushrav if he was really wanted to take everything he would have killed sah jahan as well but why do you think he didn't do it??If your chind want to kill waht would you do in that situation??
What a truth known through a good content on RUclips. History should be told as it is !!! But unfortunately in schools it wasn't!! Thanks for letting us know the real truth about some big Mughal emperor like akhbar 👍🏻
Prince Khusrau was the favourite choice of Akbar to succed him because he was capable, handsome and secular. He was a brave warrior and loved by the Indian masses due to his liberal views.
Dara shikoh was identical to khusro in mentality and character ,after all he was his nephew .in destiny also they were same .among Hindus there was an escape route .some princes became sanyassis to avoid being killed . History records that the magadhan royals were parricide during ajatashatru who killed his father bimbisar .there were 6or 8 generation of parricide before the people overthrew those parricide Dynasty and became a janpad ie republic till mahapadmanand the barber killed the old king .chanakya came one generation later to overthrow nandas .rest is recorded history .

It's either kill or get killed. At certain point for many it was not just greed for power, but the power for survival. Honestly I feel we cannot just blame one particular emperor for the cruelty, cruel was (or still is) the society (also can't overlook their lineage genetics). Romanticizing such stories are honestly laughable. Historical romance genre is no doubt appealing, but being irresponsible towards the public and the real history is utterly shameful and ridiculous.
This is very common among mughal. Main reason was greed for throne money and power generally see their kin as threat to the throne . They won't mind killing their sons brothers for power and money.they killed their kin in brutal way taking eyes off.... Even killing blinded kin.

These kinds of people intentionally try to disrespect the mughal period. Yes there are so many nasty incidents in this dynasty but the present day so called historians try to assert that the mughals being muslim were very cruel. These are medieval rulers with things expected from them. They are glorified not for what they did personally but the battles they fought the extent of the empire the wealth they created the architecture they made the stability in politics they brought. They were such strong empire even distant middle east and europeans were scared of them. The british were so amazed that they borrowed the word mogul into their dictionary to explain anything huge. Political infighting, killing relatives for power, religious intolerance, multiple wives and not giving respect to women those days were so common. Pushyamitra sangha, dhana nanda, chandragupta maurya, ashoka, bimbisara, ajathshatru, raghoji bhonsle, tarabai(who disguised her son for power), mihirakaula all are in this category. Hindu s desecrating buddhist temples or muslims breaking hindu temples os all we talk about but what about pallava ruler narasimhavarman sacking chalukya temples, the chandella s looting pratihara temples. It is the tyrion lannister s words “ things are expected of them”. They were medieval rulers displaying power looting wealth for themselves not independent democratic international boundary respect worthy civilized working salaried professionals in the internet judging humanity and violence over power in history
To be huge and to be righteous is a different thing. There may be incidences of wars in all cultures but there has been no incidences of family-in-fighting. Also, if they should be glorified for their architecture, they should also show the family fighting and also, the battles and what they took. You say mediaeval rulers, look at all islamic countries and check how they get succeeded. It is their religion not the period of time.
@@TheNetWorthChannelbyAKJ i wrote those names for a reason . No incidences of family infighting? Please google each of them. And the Marathas at Shivaji s time were just establishing the empire werent that rich like Mughals with harem full of kids and too many successors. 2 sons and even they wanted control. Infighting is natural whenever there is power struggle. Infact sambhaji had defected to the mughals while shivaji was alive only to return unrepentant. There are stories of Soyabai trying to put Rajaram on throne by poisoning him. Sambhaji took control of Raigad fort and imprisoned Rajaram, his wife and Soyabai and killed the commander to become a king. Sambhaji even went ahead to execute his step mom Soyabai. Actually, if you see this thing from Jahangir's point of view, this thing will seem different and even emotional. When Jahangir writes about Khusrau Mirza's escape, he says that Khusrau Mirza was distracted and preoccupied and didn't have belief in his father's affection. He also says that he should have shown the prince more affection so that not even a hair extent of doubt remained in his mind. Also, a few days after Khusrau Mirza was captured, Jahangir went to visit the Shah ara garden in Kabul along with his court and family. He ordered the chains to be taken off Khusrau's feet so that he could walk in that garden. Jahangir writes that his fatherly affection didn't allow him to exclude his son from walking in that garden. In 1619, Jahangir was probably in Vrindavan or Mathura if I am not wrong. During this time he writes that the dust from the brows of his son was washed with the pure water of forgiveness.

Akbar the great- How he changed from a ghazi to Kafir. Ghazi period of Akbar - 1556 to 1578 Kafir period of Akbar- 1578 to 1605 Whatever others say I still believe Akbar was a good moderate ruler. Initially he was an Islamic Ghazi who worked to spread Islam through sword. He massacred the entire Chitoor garrison and unarmed people including women and children after its capture. But later he commissioned statues in Agra fort to honour the bravery and sacrifice of Mewar commanders Jaimal Rathore and Patta Sisodia. He used to pay tribute to them whenever he visited Agra fort. He was a kafir because he worshipped river Ganga and Sun God ( Suryanamaskaram and Yoga was a must for him in his later life). He became a vegetarian and banned Cow slaughter and Sati. He took actions to revive ancient hindu festivals of Kumbhamela. He was patron of many ancient temples including Kashi Vishwanath and Mathura temple. He was the only Indian ruler to issue coins of Lord Rama and Sita devi ( Ram-Siyal coins). Many maulavis of that period considered Akbar as a crypto hindu and Kafir. Diwali and Holi were periodically celebrated by Akbar throughout his empire. To please islamic scholars, Akbar gave a Persian Muslim name to it i.e Jashn-e-Chiraghan.

Most of info in wikipedia like about khusro. shah jahan war of succesion.

Great explaination 🔥

Maharana Pratap = Father of Akbar 🤴❤️🙏
He rebelled against his father took over Mughal territory And tried to overthrow his father, so he caught him and partially blinded him and imprisoned him.
Those Muslims are fool in my point of view who think that Mughal Empire was Muslim and supported or still support and try to defend them.

It’s Mughal history that should be eradicated from our history books. They keep praising and idolising these barbarians. They are in fact shameful part of our history.
These kinds of people intentionally try to disrespect the mughal period. Yes there are so many nasty incidents in this dynasty but the present day so called historians try to assert that the mughals being muslim were very cruel. But I respectfully wish this lady to remember the life of Great Ashoka. How many murders he did to gain crown? Just only because of someone's religion you cannot defame that person. If you want to depict the history properly please donot act like pseudo hindus of a particular political party.
There is not even a single evidence of this incident 😂 he only has 3 brothers one of which who was favourite of bindusaar was killed because he was hated by the courtiers of mauryan empire and other 2 don't have much history but one of them was a saint or religious teacher if you don't know the history please shut your mouth 😂

All are examples of family infighting and religious persecution and cruelty too… not warfare. Since you apoke of culture il add another name. Kauravas and Pandavas. Also know about Soyabai and Rajaram and the succession story after shivaji s death. And shah jahan, Aurangzeb and khilji succession stories are popular not just in history books but also in folklore and drammas. Else medha wouldnt know it either. I am sorry if you werent aware of it. But so are the horrific succession stories of bimbisara and ashoka . All kings did this. In History theres a popular saying- either eat or get eaten. It holds true for Alexander to Napoleon to Vikramaditya to muhhals and khiljis and everyone. And i didnt understand islamic countries successful? Successful in what? How is that related to moghuls?
@@aishwaryasDiaries chatrapati shivaji maharaj had two sons , none of them pocked each other's eyes out , never happened in entire lineage of maratha rulers , you are making a false equivalence. You should get your knowledge crosschecked from different sources .
@@pigeonlover935 no they never pop out each others eyes but war of succession did break out between his successors. Family infighting was the point not popping out eyes. Its ok to rever a figure and worship but its not okay to remove a part of the history to prove the pedestal your putting them in. Infact after so many points I had put, so many names I took you had to bring “popping out eyes in Maratha empire” which I never said.
@@aishwaryasDiariesWell among hindu kings, there was a rule that the eldest son should succeed the father as king, 2nd, 3rd sons were given royal titles & made satraps of small kingdoms. All other relatives were also given royal titles and authority. So succession was mostly peaceful, cooperative, harmonious and mostly celebratory, there used to be week long celebrations when the crown prince was made king. But there was no such rule among muslim rulers, Like the lady in the vdo said, it was free for all, hence the succession was always brutal and gruesome and heartwrenching.

Jahangir, is the father of Shah Jahan...what you're saying? Salim later became Jahangir
Too much for those naive side profile portraits holding rose😂😂💀
😂😂😭

Ghazi period of Akbar - 1556 to 1578
Kafir period of Akbar- 1578 to 1605
Whatever others say I still believe Akbar was a good moderate ruler. The influence of Abul Fazl and Birbal made him a kafir and liberal thinker.
