Welcome to the 3-part special on the story of Shivaji Maharaj, always waited to present this to the audience. Our guest today is Medha Bhaskaran, a microbiologist, an author, and another all-star of The Ranveer Show. The wealth of knowledge she has is truly incredible, honoured to host Medha ma'am at our space for such fantastic episodes we created with her. In this episode, we go into the depths of the Mughal empire, before the Shivaji Maharaj era, and what was the country's socio-economic status back then, what was the reality of the kings and the emperors who ruled our land mass. REAL Stories Of Indian History Uncovered - Watch out.
Medha Bhaskaran, from the year 2000 onwards, started studying Mughal Maratha history as she felt passionate about it. More than a hundred books were referred to, forts visited, and discussions with historians, weapon experts and other people involved in the subjects continued. She is the author of Shivaji's bestselling biography, Challenging Destiny. Amazon Link: www.amazon.in/....
This episode is a 3-part conversation starting from the rule of the Mughal Empire, before the Shivaji Maharaj era, then part 2 where we talk about the times when India saw the rise of Shivaji Maharaj, and then comes part 3 where we talk about his final vision. Stay Tuned as Part 2 and Part 3 of this series will be released in the following two Tuesdays of the Month of October.

When Dara Shikoh says he does not want to be a pearl but he wants to be an ocean...he wants to say he does not want to limit himself as just a body which will come, stay and then leave this world. He wants to realize awareness where you are no longer the body but the awareness/consciousness (which is the vast ocean). Dara Shikoh had talks with many Hindu intellectuals and understood the depth of Vedas and Upanishads. He did a deep study of them and translated almost half of the Upanishads in Persia(almost 50 I believe). Dara took the Vedas and Upanishads to the other part of the world through these translations. But in the battle field it was Aurengzeb who prevailed. The Historians research also indicate,if Dara Shikwoh had survived,Aurengzeb would have been eliminated, too. It was do or die for Aurengzeb. Why can’t you study history objectively. Why do you think it’s necessary to color everything with religious colors. The battles that took place between the Mughals and another Rajas were for political reasons. There was nothing religious in it. Many Hindus fought with Mughals and many Muslims fought with Marathas. Mughals were tyrannical, and they were like that even with their own kith and kin for political reasons. And even the other kingdoms had their infighting. But if you compare Aurangazeb with other Mughal emperors , he was much better. He did not squander money, was not ayyash. and was a righteous person. Since he was the emperor it is his duty to guard his kingdom from all enemies. Within his kingdom as well as outside. But ai agree with the historian when she says the local subedaar and jabaldaar took undue advantage of the power given to them. And that was the weakness of the Mughal empire.

They were also Hindus. And compared to other Moghul kings , he was the most decent based on character. See the politics now, what is happening . It is the same. Religion is used for politics. If some people think Mughals are so bad that they are changing their Muslim names, their biggest landmarks are "Taj Mahal", "Red Fort", "Delhi Masala Bazaar", "Chandni Chowk", Shahi Bridge, Jaunpur, Sundar. Nursery, Panjoor Garden, Khosrow Bagh in Prayagraj, Panjoor Bagh in Haryana, Chah Bagh in Kashmir "Pari Mahal, Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, Chashme Shahi, Virenag Garden, Achabal Bagh" and also "Qutab Minar".
And if you are going down and visiting the city of cities, "Inside Delhi, its walls and gates" and "Agra" are like famous and bad cities, don't you go?
And yes, the Qawwali which was started by a Muslim dictator Khusrau and the Qawwali whose main purpose was to remember Allah, which the so-called Hindu nation listens to with Indian passion, when are you going to end it?
O Lord, you eat the offerings from them. If it is demolished, what will be done in the name of architecture in India which even foreigners come to see and lose their senses. Emperor Aurangzeb has been one of the most righteous and unique rulers in history. He was a brilliant economist. He is the man who alone defeated the English, Chinese and Portuguese. One king mastering multiple disciplines. Other kings such as Louis XVI of France praised him a few times. During Aurangzeb's sharia reign Mughal India surpassed Qing China and became the world's largest economy, worth 1/4 of global GDP and waved the Proto-industrialisation (Bengal showed signs of a possible Industrial Revolution, hence preceding England, but the British deindustrialised its economy starting from the Battle of Plassey). Gujarat recovered from a famine due to his policies based from Islamic finance (Fatwa Alamgiri). As a practicing Muslim, Aurangzeb memorised the entire Holy Quran and never took a penny from the Royal treasury for his personal use like the other monarchs (he imprisoned his father due to his corruption with the treasury), he avoided a luxurious life and by profession he was cap sewer despite being born with golden spoon...Aurangzeb was also the first one to defeat the English (Anglo-Mughal War) and took Mount Kailash from the Chinese. He repelled Tai-Ahom attacks from Assam and protected the hindus and drove back the Portuguese inquisition coming to the north. Stories of the demolitions of temples were highly exaggerated, he paid maintenance for the temples and gave good wages to the hindu priests. He was the greatest and most pious Emperor in Indian history.
