I saw a show Fluffy did a couple months back in Sydney, and he told us that he got a lot of hate from Aussies after doing the Crocodile Hunter joke back in '10. He said that he was nervous about coming back to Australia after he had got those letters, thinking he'd just made 23 million new enemies.
He tried to stray away from the joke up until a bloke at one of his shows yelled out for him to do the joke. He then explained that he got all those bad letters and didn't want to piss off his audience, which was followed by applause. The original guy proceeded to say "Ah, fuck 'em!".
Afterwards, the same guy met with Fluffy after the show and said to him "Fluffy, mate, you've gotta be the funniest c*nt on the planet!", which believe me is a really good thing to get called in Australia.

This guy is a life saver. I’m a recovering addict. Whenever I feel an urge, craving, I turn on one of his specials. Gets me past the urge because of I’m laughing too hard to care. I wish I could tell him how happy my niece is that he saved a life without knowing it

Being an Aussie that was raised on kangaroo sausages and Steve Irwin, I can say with 100% certainty that this description is accurate.
Steve did teach is a lot about animals and how they are when you treat them right; even though he physically interacted with them, he treated them with respect.
That said, even Steve would find this funny because he acted the way he did to get people to react and watch just to see what "crazy" thing he would do next. He once said in an interview that the cameraman had instructions to keep filming if Steve was killed by an animal. He said he knew that there would people watching, saying, "I told you he'd get killed one day."
Sounded like he knew the "if" would be a "when".
Although, let's be honest. Not like he was ever going to retire. Could have been 90 and still grabbing at hippos.
He did not teach me nothing about animals i did not know before. He taught me a lot about humans. Especially about how stupid humans are.

I know this is going to get a little hate but the crocodile hunter was steve irwin and he has his own zoo called australia zoo and with the zoo he collected all the animals he saw to save people from troubles with animals and brings joy but he died in 2009 by a rare stingray that he was going to save all the animal's he sees he will feed them and them put them in captivity or set the free.

The most venomous snake known to man is the Inland Taipan, aka: western taipan, the small-scaled snake, or the fierce snake.

NitroNinja_101 also I believe no one has ever died from their bite as they tend to avoid humans. Common Browns however are much more dangerous despite being less venomous therefore Steve Irwin was always much more respectful of them!
