You are such an amazing teacher! I just love you're tutorials AND your precious family! You all always make me smile and I don't do that very much anymore so thank you for that! 💞
Hi Rhonnie. You must have binged watched my videos. I'm glad you liked the 10 minute pillow cases. Thanks for watching so many of my tutorials. Happy sewing. 😍
Your tutorials are wonderful! I love that you speak so calmly, it’s a joy to learn from you. That you teach slowly really helps this 73 year old catch on to things. Your tutorials are the best for this beginning quilter. Thank you for the patience you exhibit in your teaching.
Thank you so much for the video! the instructions are excellent so I can actually understand. I’m 64 and have t seen since college but excited to have fun after beating cancer! I have a Viking sapphire that’s been in a box for 6 years and a serger! I’ll be watching all your videos!
Thank you! I just bought some fabric for pillowcases but wasn't sure how to make them. You helped me so much and when you speak it is so easy to understand what you mean. Your family is just adorable!
I really enjoy watching your videos they are very easy to follow and you make it look easy especially for beginners like myself. Look forward to watching more. Margie from SOUTH AUSTRALIA...AUSTRALIA
Made them, they turned out SOOO cute. But oh dear, now I’ve got 5 more set up lol. But I will say, it’s seriously going to help me with my fabric stash. You know of what I speak😂
Thanks so much!!! I just made my boys each a high quality 100 % cotton pillow case. (Under 2 dollars each, due to finding 2 yards on clearance last year or the year before).
Hi Tina. Here is the link to the magic pillow case which is similar to the burrito method. ruclips.net/video/RqMe6lKfBug/видео.html Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
I have a question: is this for a standard pillow or king size? Thanks. Love the channel. Just started sewing and love being able to see it being done instead of having to follow complicated written directions.
Hello Mrs. Sheryl I love and appreciate your step by step tutorials. Question? you stated that you have trouble using your hands. I do too. How do you get your binding? Do you buy your binding already made, make your own with a strip cutter or what?.
Hi Donell. I had a spinal cord injury that affected my right side. The only part of my right hand that works is my thumb - my hand does not close. I make my own binding strips. Here is a link to my tutorial "Tips For Cutting Quilt Fabric": ruclips.net/video/io6zm2Gw2oo/видео.html I have many other video tutorials on how to put binding pot holders, table runners, and quilts. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
Hi Karen. Do not stitch the long edges together until after the zipper is installed. Stitch the zipper in the end where the opening would be. Then stitch the sides closed. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
Adore your channel ❤️✨ Please can you make a video on how to make a ruffle cushion with piping and invisible zip. A bit of a hard combo, I’m finding that the reverse of my cushion is extremely messy. Should just let it go or can it be made neat?
Hi Brenda. When you buy the fabric off the bolt it is fold in half with the selvage (finished edge) edges together. To cut measure from the raw edge over 36" towards the other edge and cut". Hope this helps. Thanks for watching💗 and happy sewing😍
Hi Donna. My Baby Lock Triumph has two needles in it. I don't think your stitches will look correct if you use only 1 needle. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching💗and happy sewing😍
I enjoyed your 10 minute pillow case video, but I have a challenge - do you know how I would need to lay out the pieces if the border (cuff) has a one-way design so that the top of the design is closest to the body of the pillow?
Hi Andrea. If you look at pillowcases sold in stores, they will have this feature. It just looks more appealing if you do this. But you can make the hem any size you want. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
@@TheSewingRoomChannel Thank you. I took a king sized pillow case, took out that large hem and made a small one to make a case for my body pillow. Added buttons to keep it closed. Body pillow cases cost a fortune. Happy sewing to you as well,
Why can’t I find a tutorial that shows how to sew the one side slip on the inside that how’s the pillow and covers it up. No one seems to do it. Yet every pillow case I buy has the slip in there.
Hi Gypsy. This method that I used is the easiest for beginners. I think I know someone on RUclips that does the method you are looking for. The name of the channel is "Sew Very Easy". Look through their list of tutorials. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching. Merry Christmas and happy sewing.

How would you recommend putting a zipper in? Before you serge down the salvage side? I want to put it inside of another pillow case

@@TheSewingRoomChannel thank you. I’ll let you know how it turns out
Thank you for sharing this video. It seems these are standard pillow sizes. Would you give us the measurements for queen & king size also?
Thank you!
Is this for a regular size pillowcase or a king size pillowcase??
Hi Jardin. This pillow is standard/queen. Measure your pillow and add the extra inches to your fabric. Thanks for watching💗and happy sewing😍

I’m wanting to use a pair of my old uniform air force pants to make a pillow case for someone. How should I go about this? I’ve never sewed anything!
Hello. Enjoy your video. Could you tell me how much material I would need for a toddler pillow that is 13” x 18” please. Thank you
Hi Marlene. You will need 1/2 yard. Stay safe and happy sewing.
The Sewing Room Channel thank you so much for such a timely response 😊
The last part with eyelet is so confo
No French seams?
Those are used with the “burrito method,” which is more complicated.

what is the purpose of leaving a 4 in hem in a pillowcase?

At 11:14, I think you want "satin" stitch, not "statin" stitch. Thanks!
Hi Gloria. Yes you are correct. It is satin stitch. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
So, there doesn't seem to be a fold of fabric to tuck the pillow into. I don't like that.
