  • This video will help you install a retrofit cabin air filter for any 2007-2014 Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon, and Cadillac Escalade.

    Thanks, great video. I popped of the trim piece to help get that 3rd screw. And heating up the blade helped cut through the plastic.

    My cover had 5 screws holding the cover. I was only able to get 3 of the 5 back in😂(typical man with left over screws/bolts/parts). Quick tip, if you have a multi tool cut it with that and scrap the box cutter idea. Thanks for the video!!

    jeez louise all this time i was looking for a set of screws and bolts but now I have to cut the plastic to get that thing out ???

      I've had my 2007 Tahoe since January 2006 and there's zero odor..
      So I don't think I'm going to need to do this
      Good video though

    After cutting the hole out and smoothing and filing the edges nice and smooth I went to put the same filter u show and it wouldn't go with the white tabs out like yours. It went in really easy the other way though. Do I have to take it out and turn it around or will it be ok.

    Thank you for the video. It was there the whole time. A 3 cent hole and a 2 cent screw. so simple......GM got me SMH-

    So folks would just place the cabin filter and not file some kind of complaint or lawsuit for GM suvs/trucks for not installing one to begin with? It seems like they feel its an insignificant part today.

      I just killed 3 hours trying to find this fucking thing. Lol I got the filter last night. But now I need the part they hold the filter fuck

      Right just did one in 2017 car in minutes then tear open escalade and can't find it. Apparently because it don't have one

    I have various wrenches and sockets but none that are short enough to allow access to the drive shaft hump screw and still be long enough to reach up! Too bad you didn’t show us what you used or how much you spent on the tool

    It's crazy, Chevy told me there was no filter..... GMC said there was LOL. So you actually have to add one, it doesn't come with one. SMH

    Just one of many reasons why GM had to be bailed out and fell from #1 Automaker Many years ago. Thanks for the video. Unreal they’d make something so complicated.

      @@tonyportaro3184 Probably too late to help you. I had to make my own tool to remove that bolt when replacing the vent door actuator. I regret that I can’t recall exactly what I did but it involved black tape, a socket and a flex-joint, I believe. Search for a video on vent door actuator replacement. One of them showed what it takes to remove and replace that bolt.

    Oops, my apologies, I watched some other videos on newer than 2001 Chevy Tahoe's, and the the cabin air filter does have to be retro fitted. Best of luck.

      Not until after 2014. 2007-2014 didn't have them at all, otherwise the kit, filter, and video wouldn't exist, would they?
