I don't think it was "ahead of its time". i just managed to slip through the cracks of bureaucratic oversight that usually waters these types of movies down into a generic, unintelligible, typical Disney mess.
TRON: Legacy is just a visual & a musical ecstasy. It's like a beautiful looking game in a movie form. So good. The special effects are fantastic and the soundtrack and composing by Daft Punk is pretty epic as well. Fits the film perfectly. Actors and actresses were phenomenal. Story was touching. Everything a good solid sequel needs. Joseph Kosinski did amazing the style is unmatched. You are fully entertained for 2 hours and 5 minutes.

What a movie!, A timeless masterpiece. I watched it again with my nieces and they were suprised it was a movie from 10 years ago. They are now playing Evolution
i remember once playing a unity game of this movie in the Disney XD webpage... it was amazing as well too bad those games dont exist anymore, if they did i would gladly play them again for old times sake
The soundtrack/musical score is absolutely IMPECCABLE for this scene and makes it the ILLEST scene in the whole flick! MAJOR props to the Director's vision (and sound) for this, he COOKED and ATE!
as a kid who grew up with the original Tron, I'm not ashamed to admit this scene actually got me misty-eyed. Especially the transformation scene and the bikes actually not moving at right angles...
Me too, I also grew up with the original. I watched this one in the theater but it was the 3-D version and I had a huge headache when I came out. Now going back to it, I realize how much the soundtrack speaks to me as well as the artistic vision.

There was one. A ps3(xbox 360?) And a psp one. The ps3 had great multiplayer, although I'm sure the graphics wouldn't match up to my memory. The psp was also pretty good. Felt kinda like the ben10 game.

I have a love hate relationship with this movie. On one hand, I love the revamped look and feel of the movie. And I loved the Daftpunk Score. But the story itself was "meh". And I feel like some of the characters in the movie should have had more of a role to play. I wasn't thrilled with dynamic between the hero and the villain. It was just..off. Even so, the way the movie ended made me feel like there IS more story to tell..

You can tell this scene was filmed in IMAX, just by the optics alone.
It actually wasn’t, they used the same cameras that they used for the rest of the film, but they shot some sequences in open matte with IMAX in mind
