Absolutely one of the most underrated movies of all-time. The soundtrack, the visuals, the VIBE. oh my God the vibe of this movie is insane. I can't find it anywhere else, it's completely unique.
Tron is still a great movie. The only movie I've seen recently that may come close is Alita: Battle Angel. There will be another Tron; but now is not the time.
My buddy worked on this film doing set decoration. He said the sets were insane to build. They would spend hours cleaning and polishing the floors and walls after each take to keep that look of perfection. He said it was a lot. It was difficult. But he said the cast and crew were dedicated to getting it right. They definitely got it right. Its an excellent film.
In my humble opinion, this movie was as close to perfect as you could get. Special effects were amazing. Soundtrack was mind blowing. Acting was excellent along with the cast. I know others will disagree, but that's my opinion. Have a safe and healthy weekend all.
I agree on the points you've mentioned, but the story kind of let me down, and my adult son as well. We were expecting more 'User Magic' than just slowing down a single elevator. They really could have opened up the lore/world buildering more if they let Jeff Bridges be THE User.
But... he is the original User. That's how he got stuck in the Grid. And why his son went looking for him. Splitting him into Clu as the bad side of the Ggood user was brilliant. Binary code - on/off, 1/0, good/evil.
@@johnsim3722 Kosinski is definitely that. Following this with Oblivion and Top Gun: Maverick (I haven't seen Only the Brave) just cements that fact. F1 looks fantastic.

I actually saw both films for the first time last weekend, after getting into the soundtrack of Legacy. Was looking for inspiration for my own music, which is how I found it. Though I knew of the movie, the OST triggered me to watch it. It was quite entertaining to watch. I can understand people not completely understanding the plot of Legacy if they hadn't seen the original, though they do explain quite a bit :)
As a fan on Tron..this movie was super good. The father/son aspect was well done. I love that at the end a father who strives for the perfect world..realizes it was already there in front of him...the miracle that is his son.
I agree with you on the father/son aspect being well done but I don't think that he thought so his son being the miracle, at least not only that. More like everything about life, the grid, Sam, Qourra and the ISOs. I think it all boils down to one of my favorite qoutes told by Flynn to Clu: "The thing about perfection is that it's unknowable. It's impossible, but it's also right in front of us all the time. You wouldn't know that because I didn't when I created you."
@@GaaraSama1983 Yeah but when he said that it is right in front of us all the time...he was looking at his son. He realized something doesn't need to be perfect to be amazing.

Just saw Legacy today, it was a downright beautiful film. VFX were on-point without being ridiculous, the story was powerful and heartfelt, it brought over enough of the original to make it a fitting sequel but added enough of its own original elements to give it its own foundation, and The Grid theme packed a punch for the emotional climax. Just a damn great movie.

As someone that programmed in the 80's, there is no way 8 bit processors of the time could render any of this or compute anything closely like this, having said that, love Tron, love the remake...long live the users !!!
I remember how as a kid I didn't like the storyline of the movie, but the visuals the effects and the music was just perfect for the time period... little did I know that 11 years later I would be listening to Daft Punk not noticing that they had a cameo in the movie...
To capture the pure essence of the 70-80's video gaming history and visualize it in music and lights is astounding. This movie has everything it was like to be inside the video game arcade when I was a kid. It had the ability to bring all the emotions of the good guy which was resurrected inside the game long stood in a dead arena which no one knew because it was forgotten in dust. And the ending left you with the same aspects. Wishing you could go back inside. Because the real world had left us behind. Tron was my favorite game of all times. He fights for us.
It’s so awesome as I’m listening to it in 2019 I remember I watched the film and I was only 8 years old at the time and to be honest this remix sums up the whole movie and I still watch it until this day
Daft Punk's "The Grid" sends waves of chills down my like a static jolt of electricity. I have always loved the idea of submerging myself into the depths of a machine, symbiotically fusing myself with something inhumanly cold and calculating; becoming the "perfect" human specimen
I remember sitting in the theater. Less than a minute in and I had already got chills twice. Once when Jeff Bridges started speaking. Then again at 0:40 Great opening sequence. Simple yet powerful. I was all grin.
It's the best movie. I saw the poster when I was nine years old in Dubai. One day on RUclips, my father showed me the trailer on his mobile phone. One of its scenes is the light motorcycle, which I love very much.
It is not often I can say this, but I actually think I prefer this version over the original, and I absolutely love the original. But, I think what makes this so good, is the way you kept the original music, and just added some extra depth to it. I know this is an old video, but, WELL DONE! And personally, as a huge fan of the original Tron, I absolutely loved this movie too, and Daft Punk NAILED this soundtrack!
I've been listening to this song through RUclips over and over since I can't find it on Spotify or Amazon music. I just love the video even though its blurry on my tv. Tells the whole story of Tron in an epic remix! So well done!!!
This is an excellent film. For the people complaining about the story, what story would you like? It suited the film perfectly. It's one of the best and most original sci-fi films of the 21st century and belongs in the top 25 sci-fi films of all time. The design, the music, there is literally nothing like it besides the original, and this beats it.
7:25 it took me a decade to realize Tron became a good guy right after he fell in the ocean. Im sure if they ever made Tron 3 (in 2030) Tron would return a hero. They have a game, and they actually have a new show. Not sure why they dont just make a sequel.

I love both movies: their visuals and soundtracks are outstanding!
Don't forget Karl Urban's Dredd. More recently, Alita.
As someone that programmed in the 80's, there is no way 8 bit processors of the time could render any of this or compute anything closely like this, having said that, love Tron, love the remake...long live the users !!!
Yeah well we'd need a heck lot more than just 8 bit for a grid like that
Uuuuuuuseeeeer!
@@shem7146 8 bits should be enough for almost anyone. we had a CD with a colossal 5 MB photo of Mars we couldn't open lol
the must underrated movie ever.
Nothing is underrated you mook.
No. This movie was OVERrated.
@@protoborg Absolutely NOT

This movie and daft. Punks soundtrack are masterpieces!
I remember how as a kid I didn't like the storyline of the movie, but the visuals the effects and the music was just perfect for the time period... little did I know that 11 years later I would be listening to Daft Punk not noticing that they had a cameo in the movie...
Tron: Legacy...
The longest Daft Punk video ever.
Seriously though a /hat-tip to the video and remix, nicely done.
Interstella555, DAFT, and Electroma: Are we a joke to you
Awesome movie and soundtrack,it was underrated I love the whole style of this flick.
Thumbs up if you remember the original Tron movie.
You're so weird fishing for a thumbs up
Tron part 1
Tron legacy part 2
They cancelled tron 3 they suck
I had to pull it up only to realize that I had seen it but was a child born in 76'
Errr cancelled Tron 3 so what is Tron : Ares in production for with a 2025 release date or has that been cancelled & google hasn't been informed
🤘
To capture the pure essence of the 70-80's video gaming history and visualize it in music and lights is astounding. This movie has everything it was like to be inside the video game arcade when I was a kid. It had the ability to bring all the emotions of the good guy which was resurrected inside the game long stood in a dead arena which no one knew because it was forgotten in dust. And the ending left you with the same aspects. Wishing you could go back inside. Because the real world had left us behind. Tron was my favorite game of all times. He fights for us.
A masterpiece like this deserves to be in high definition
still gives me the chills
It’s so awesome as I’m listening to it in 2019
I remember I watched the film and I was only 8 years old at the time and to be honest this remix sums up the whole movie and I still watch it until this day
I have no idea what I just watched, but I really liked it
Amazing! You have such a good sense of beats and structure. You tell a story through each song. Beautiful
I feel like if it wasn’t a good story plot in legacy but the idea of concept art and the setting are really breath taking
I still want a tron bike and blast the whole soundtrack
Daft Punk's "The Grid" sends waves of chills down my like a static jolt of electricity. I have always loved the idea of submerging myself into the depths of a machine, symbiotically fusing myself with something inhumanly cold and calculating; becoming the "perfect" human specimen
me too man
Absolutely loved this beautifully produced movie! Good remix!
Truly an amazing movie and spectacular soundtrack. Fan forever. Love the remix. This music is the true embodiment of Synthwave and Cyberpunk.
Sounds pretty beautiful. This movie's aesthetics were so cool.
This video goes really well with this sound track. Kick ass!
The opening track needed to be longer and this is perfection - thankyou !
I remember sitting in the theater. Less than a minute in and I had already got chills twice. Once when Jeff Bridges started speaking. Then again at 0:40
Great opening sequence. Simple yet powerful. I was all grin.
MrPingn hell yeah. Such a powerful film
Its so simplistic yet it is the best remix I have ever heard
It's the best movie. I saw the poster when I was nine years old in Dubai. One day on RUclips, my father showed me the trailer on his mobile phone. One of its scenes is the light motorcycle, which I love very much.
0:39 Chills-inducing. Awesome! Loved the original movie and the sequel too.
This intro is EPIC 14 years later
It is not often I can say this, but I actually think I prefer this version over the original, and I absolutely love the original. But, I think what makes this so good, is the way you kept the original music, and just added some extra depth to it. I know this is an old video, but, WELL DONE! And personally, as a huge fan of the original Tron, I absolutely loved this movie too, and Daft Punk NAILED this soundtrack!
thanks!
@@pierrotechnique You are very welcome!
@@pierrotechnique 2022, and STILL jamming to this!!!
I concur.
Отличный фильм ,отличная музыка, сценарий, актеры, то что нужно для молодёжи.
I never get tired of the vision of the grid
this is sooo well done that i'm personally responsible for probably 100 views, thank you for the tribute
I've been listening to this song through RUclips over and over since I can't find it on Spotify or Amazon music. I just love the video even though its blurry on my tv. Tells the whole story of Tron in an epic remix! So well done!!!
Look for Tron Legacy Reconfigured on Spotify.
It’s the second song of the TRON LEGACY soundtrack. I’m sure it’s on there. I downloaded that puppy.
Tron saudades de um tempo de tecnologia desenrolada em produção cinematográfica
Yeahhhh achei um BR
I love the first film and this the second. The music was to die for...
This lets me know that the Future is Ours! Love and LIGHT!
7:25 it took me a decade to realize Tron became a good guy right after he fell in the ocean. Im sure if they ever made Tron 3 (in 2030) Tron would return a hero. They have a game, and they actually have a new show. Not sure why they dont just make a sequel.
Tron 3 is coming with the Director Joachim Ronning ✨

*this remix is absolutely stunning*
I absolutely loved this movie they did a great job awesome sound track to visuals off the charts great acting I'd say it was a ten outa ten
TRON is my favourite film...a somewhat dark, earie lonely feeling overwhelms this film and makes its vibe incredible. Its one giant club!
Oh how much I absolutely LOVE this SOUNDTRACK!
Not to mention the "Limited use" of the Music Videos..Video's...
Best "DAFT PUNK" Soundtrack EVER.
It's the future generation where no movie makers has gone so far 💟
love this remix. would love to see what you could do with the theme when Flynn sacrifices himself
brian swearingin every track on the album is a damn banger, and more people need to mix them. Period.
