Wonderful composition... i have read all the books and the game looks great, and the song... omg its so awesome! You are awesome. It fits nicely with Geralt.
Season 2 of the Witcher, Geralt somehow becomes incapacitated or goes missing. A heartbroken and defeated Jaskier sits alone at a campfire...he starts plucking a familiar melody on his guitar, and sings... "Torches of war under hatred's sails..."
"I've seen the man fight against beasts that took an army to face, he cut their heads off while the many soldiers who tried killing the beasts before laid dead in its den, I saw him do it myself. I laid there hopelessly as the man burned the beast and ripped it's head off. The one thing I didn't except from him was too carry back home too my wife, but the bastard did. I was so far from home and he brought me there, I saw my children looking at him as he told them of his tales. I gave the man some food and a place too sleep, but in the middle of the night he vanished. The doors were locked but he vanished like a ghost."

I once tried to write something similar to a poem, and you have no idea how difficult it actually is to keep a general theme while also keeping a good rhythm. Masterful work
All these years and many incredible songs later, this to me remains one of those songs that never age and never lose their magic, no matter how dated their subject is. It might just be the best way to explain how epic this channel is in under 4 minutes.
This is your best work so far. And thats high, high praise. Every time you release a track my playlist gets a little more incredible. Thank you kindly!
Sure looks like it huh? But no, being a witcher, Geralt has special abilities of sorcery. That move he used there was the spell "Aard", which is basically a force push. Among Aard, he also has an array of other spells and a collection of potions which heighten his already enhanced senses and abilities...I sound like a geek don't I?
This song just randomly poped into my RUclips recommend and I listened to it probably 5 time before I went to the comments and realized that it wasn't part of the actual game (which I haven't played). Which I now really want to play

If you ever wanted to create a story and a game that would be immortal, create a game like this. A true work of art! If the reel is like this, then it's worth it to live in this reel. Probably i would end up dead but it would be worth it.
And he took his blade and THRUST IT THROUGH THE BEAST'S HEART! THE BEAST FELL WITH THE WEIGHT OF TEN THOUSAND SOULS THAT HE TOOK FROM THIS EARTH! THE HERO PULLED OUT THE BLADE TRIUMPHANT! FOR HIS BLADE, TRIUMPH, WAS THRUST WITH THE STRENGTH OF THE ANGELS WHOM HE CALLED UPON TO GIVE HIM STRENGTH! And as he stood over the beast, he felt for it. For it was not an evil beast for evil's sake. It was turned evil by its treatment from us. He cried for the beast that lay slain on the ground, blood flowing from its chest. He knelt in front of it, cradling its lifeless head, sobbing and screaming at God as he once did when he witnessed his family slain by the same people who created this beast's wickedness. He did not feel like the hero in which he came back as, but rather a bounty hunter, sent out to fix the problems that his hirers created in their hatred. He wanted to be a witcher no longer. Not now. Not after being used as a tool for them to turn as they wished. He would go after his hirers. He cut a piece of hair from the beast's head and kissed its forehead. His horse stood silently by, as if contemplating the same thing. And now, he would ride. They both would ride, with the determination of 2 warriors with a vendetta against evilness. And they rode.
Beautiful video. The Witcher 3 is truly an amazing game and I recommend it to all that like games with fantasy, open world, or RPG elements. Outstanding story and stunning visuals all around.
Everything about The Witcher is top-tier. This song is also top-tier. Therefore, the logical conclusion is to make this song part of the official soundtrack.
miracleofsound Hi, Gavin. As a huge fan of the Witcher's franchise (books and VG), I wanted to congratulate you for composing and performing such an epic and magnificent song about it. The Witcher was the serie that encouraged me to begin my first book and I have a strong connexion to it. Now that I'm writing my second book (and waiting to find an editor for the first one, but that's another story ^^), I just can't stop to listen to this song and always find it very inspiring for a writing session. So, for this kick-ass song and all the others that you did and that will come, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I don't listen that much to "internet artists" but you're definitively one of the best reasons I have to come on youtube.
I write medieval fantasy stuff. More precisely, I've tried to make something that's between heroic fantasy and dark fantasy because I find both styles very interesting in their own way. I've been influenced by the Witcher books and games, of course, but also by the Berserk manga, A Song of Ice and Fire, the White Wolf tabletop RPGs and the lovecraftian sense of immensity, and put my own reflexions about such subjects as the human condition, death, religion, oppression or tolerance of people considered as different to achieve a personal work. To describe the first book briefly, I've written four long stories that seem to be independent, in a unit of space and time. The first one's about an overtrained woman warrior from a brotherhood that vowed to protect humanity from magic threats and whose members are considered as lawless pagans. The second one deals with a zealot who wield divine powers and who's charged to enforce the clerical laws by killing mages and ennemies of the Church. The third is about a woman who is falsely accused of heresy by a bunch of monks and has to accept the help of an ancient beastly divinity to survive, being then involved in a succession of dramatic events. And the last one is about a vampire whose quest is to eliminate those of his race who have abandonned all morality or have become insane. In this world, magic drives you insane as you become more powerful, without hope of healing, most of supernatural things makes people spiritually uncomfortable at different degrees and there are immortal deities bound to the material world who can gain power when human worship them and whose bodies have been slain by the Church milleniums ago, leaving only their diminished and angry spirits, craving for revenge. Well, that was quite long (maybe too much, once again ^^) but I hope I answered your question.
I can't believe it took me so long to take a peek at your work, Gavin. This is the first song of yours which I have listened to and I must say it is fucking masterful. Beyond words
Gav, may your arms never tire nor your words fall short. May your will never falter and your muse ever fall from grace. For your lyrics pump strength into my stream. As my ears get ready to be embraced. In all seriousness, you managed to hype an already hyped game... and I find that incredible
I've listened to this so much in the past, and now I have finished 2/3 of the Witcher games and finally got to this one, and by the gods I am glad I never watched anything to spoil the experience and now this song reinvigorates me
3 years ago i listened to this song I then bought the Witcher 1. 2 years ago I listened to this song Then bought The Witcher 2 1 year ago I listened to this song And bought all of Andrzej Sapkowski's novels I come here today to listen to this song one more time As The Witcher: Wild Hunt finishes downloading in my steam library Thankyou Gavin for introducing me to this franchise. Without this song I would probably never have touched the games at all, and for that I am truly grateful

Not going to lie, I preordered Witcher 3 solely on the basis of this song. And then bought Witcher's 1 and 2 as well. Dammit, Gavin, stop being so awesome! You're killin' my bank account! :P
I'm kind of in a similar boat as you. This song made me play and record a playthrough of The Witcher 2 for my channel and i have never played it before. It's so fuckin good!
And try to read the books, if there is an english translation. With it the games are twice as fun.
His name is Geralt of Rivia, not gavin.
R.B Riddick He's not talking about Geralt. Gavin is the guy singing this song and the owner of this channel MiracleOfSound.
NeroMystyra ahh, this is embarrassing now I have to admit I was confused..
Thumbs up for the best game ive ever had the pleasure of sinking too many hours into, together with Kingdom deliverance, this game has a special place in my heart.
I'm coming back and listening to this song just to get my fucking hype train going before Blood and Wine, this song gets me so pumped, I'm ready for Toussaint :)
Good luck White Wolf XD
+Eu Bau' and I come back after finishing blood and wine and getting nostalgic
How was the expansion? Good enough? Sorry for my english i'm italian
Eu Bau' It was incredible, well worth the wait. Would definitely recommend it to anyone :) (your English is great by the way)
Only a week? Seems like you didnt play it on deaths march /:
This song is actually what got me into the Witcher. I started with the books, then the games, and now the show. Thanks for introducing me to such an amazing universe. This song is amazing!
Самая,блин, ожидаемая игра.
Крутой сюжет, крутая механика, отличнейшая музыка, отличнейшая графика. В этой игре должно быть все.
I have been a massive witcher fan since I played the witcher 3 in 2015, haven't played anything better since. Now I'm getting ready to replay the next-gen version for my eighth playthrough, BUT HOW IN THE HECK HAVE I NEVER HEARD THIS!! IT'S INCREDIBLE!
This should be used as trailer
This should be used in the soundtrack :v
...
This should be.
+Jáchym Gavenda Hej ty jsi sledoval zaklínače u Agraela :D
+Evil Panties this
+Mr.Xenomorph Cz Yep :)
I am still listening to this, I started listening to this song like 2-3 years ago, but I still like it, even though this song is 9 yrs old, the background HITS good for me
Still waiting for a shirt that says: Keen to the scent, the hunt is my muse.
Still waiting for my shirt that says Ravaging the rivers, scorching the shores. Fires in the night, the torches of war.
Still waiting for my shirt that says wake the white wolf
still waiting for shirts that says : White Wolf
Still waiting for a shirt with all the lyrics because every part is fucking awesome
Steel and silver sing for justice
Now you gotta do one for witcher 4 starring Cirilla. ❤ Hoping ya do and looking forward to another masterpiece! 🎉
Anyone know what part 0:59 is in the game? Been trying to find this. Is it at the beginning or the end of the game?
Trailer only, I'm afraid
Ah, ok.
+Lara Croft Almost end of the game, while Ciri broke timeline, and Geralt went there, trying to save her.
janusz internetuw Timeline?
Have you finished the game? Or not, because i not want to spoiler anything.
I just got into the witcher 3 earlier this year and still playing it, sad I didn't experience this song at the witchers 3 peak, but this song hypes the game in a way that I have to play when hearing it. Love miracle of sound.
I once tried to write something similar to a poem, and you have no idea how difficult it actually is to keep a general theme while also keeping a good rhythm. Masterful work
The last 3rd of this song is the reason I bought Witcher 3 long after it came out and when I'd previously thought it was over-hyped. Thanks Gavin!
This is the most magnificent song of The Witcher 3 I've heard!!! Thanks for your incredible work
Damn it was created on the basis of the game but it fits the whole universe, including Sapkowski's books
Still somehow ahead of it's time a decade later. Miracleofsound is a GENIUS.
All these years and many incredible songs later, this to me remains one of those songs that never age and never lose their magic, no matter how dated their subject is.
It might just be the best way to explain how epic this channel is in under 4 minutes.
The way he lowkey howls after the « Wake the white wolf » bit ? Breathtaking.
Let me be the first to say. Good work, as always. I got vibes from some of your other fantasy genre songs, and it felt great.
This is your best work so far. And thats high, high praise. Every time you release a track my playlist gets a little more incredible. Thank you kindly!
Thank you very much :) Very pleased with the response to this one!
Beat Witcher 3 some time ago, and this song brings back some fun memories of a damn good story and likable characters.
I just started listening to the old podcast..... WHY HAVE I NOT HEARD THIS EARLIER..... it's awesome
1:33
Did he just bitch slap that guy with light!?
Sure looks like it huh? But no, being a witcher, Geralt has special abilities of sorcery. That move he used there was the spell "Aard", which is basically a force push. Among Aard, he also has an array of other spells and a collection of potions which heighten his already enhanced senses and abilities...I sound like a geek don't I?
Michael McCormick Nope you sound like a nerd. :) Nerds are awesome people!
Jack Kingston Aint anythin wrong with dat?
Nothing at all. :)
Michael McCormick FUCKIN NERD
This song just randomly poped into my RUclips recommend and I listened to it probably 5 time before I went to the comments and realized that it wasn't part of the actual game (which I haven't played). Which I now really want to play
Its a dope game, really frelling long. I only got past the beginning of Arc 1 before I went to other things that I also couldn't finish cause they were really frelling long.
I like the reference to 'Silver and Steel' in there, this was a great song
Fun fact, this was the first bit of Witcher content my older brother and I ever actually took in, and introduced us to such a gorgeous series :D
The most beautiful tribute to the one of the best male character i have never played in my life. miracleofsound you are so exeptionnal and you have have so many talents. Thank you for the beautiful music. Geralt i love you and now Ciri is a a Witcheress
My favorite music and favorite game :))
me to
+tricheur le gameur 😃
I listen sometimes when I play, I love this song ^_^
miracle of sound has some of the most unique music being made right now
If you ever wanted to create a story and a game that would be immortal, create a game like this. A true work of art! If the reel is like this, then it's worth it to live in this reel. Probably i would end up dead but it would be worth it.
This song gets me so pumped. I feel like a complete badass.
you should be your a bad ass college football player from the East La'carpatron
When I went to my mirror I thought I saw a red glow in my eyes. That's how powerful this song is.
Darius Noboru maybe you did
So glad there’s a reason for me to replay this masterpiece
To play and explore this game and Witcher world for the 1st time is one of the best experiences ever
One of the best games made, and finally a song worth it to listen to. What a great song
And they rode.
sorry, I get creative when I hear good music. On second thought, I am not sorry.
wow
nicholas hurtado good wow or bad wow?
Maaaan, this is epic!!! I had goose bumps all over my body. Thank you buddy, it was perfect. :D
This... is... AWESOME!!! Now go and write a book, man!
Beautiful video. The Witcher 3 is truly an amazing game and I recommend it to all that like games with fantasy, open world, or RPG elements. Outstanding story and stunning visuals all around.
the scene at 2:10, what mission is this from? i don't remember it
Man old but gold, still brings me back from time to time, thanks Gav, for everything.
Wow!
Its so amazing!
The song and the game. Both was created by a genius :D
The game was not created by a genius. It was created by a whole horde of geniuses.
+ThePC007 geniusception
After 4 years I still can't stop listening to this!
1:59 that look can tell hundreds of stories
Everything about The Witcher is top-tier.
This song is also top-tier.
Therefore, the logical conclusion is to make this song part of the official soundtrack.
This song, much like Witcher 3 itself, is a masterpiece.
miracleofsound Hi, Gavin.
GreenSeerManu Thank you! glad you like it so much :) Good luck with the book
What kind of books do you write?
That sounds brilliant! I'm trying to write a book myself! 😊
i want to read that :c
Man, I have to admit, you choose the right instruments that fit so well together.
nice to see you took inspiration in slavic folk songs...or at least it sounds like you did
I did! I even taught myself to play the bouzouki for this song, which is like a little lute. I love the sound of it :)
you should try "fujara", the signature music instrument of my country ;)
I can't believe it took me so long to take a peek at your work, Gavin. This is the first song of yours which I have listened to and I must say it is fucking masterful. Beyond words
Gav, may your arms never tire nor your words fall short.
May your will never falter and your muse ever fall from grace.
For your lyrics pump strength into my stream.
As my ears get ready to be embraced.
In all seriousness, you managed to hype an already hyped game... and I find that incredible
I've listened to this so much in the past, and now I have finished 2/3 of the Witcher games and finally got to this one, and by the gods I am glad I never watched anything to spoil the experience and now this song reinvigorates me
3 million well-deserved views. Keep yourself well, Gav. :)
miracleofsound, I do not get ASMR reactions very often, but I am definitely getting it from this song. Very good listen.
Robert Headley Never heard of ASMR before. I thought everyone got "the tingles", LOL.
Most people do, but videos made for ASMR don't generally trigger it for me.
Man of mirrors should have his own song too, I mean what a fan-tas-tic villain , he made hearts of stone crazy fun and spooky to play!!
I mean, he does have an OST, but I agree it's not the same
3 years ago i listened to this song
I then bought the Witcher 1.
2 years ago I listened to this song
Then bought The Witcher 2
1 year ago I listened to this song
And bought all of Andrzej Sapkowski's novels
I come here today to listen to this song one more time
As The Witcher: Wild Hunt finishes downloading in my steam library
Thankyou Gavin for introducing me to this franchise. Without this song I would probably never have touched the games at all, and for that I am truly grateful
I'm gonna be listening to this every time i play witcher 3, which i have the game of the year edition. So yeah but miracle of sound keep up the good work
This song always gives me chills when it comes on
I knew I was going to cry.
I did.
I loved the saga o Wiedźminie so much, but it was so very sad. So now I start crying whenever I see Witcher anywhere. ><
Lovely song.
Psixi &Co Boi there's a happy end
My inner wolf loves this I sang along thank you ❤
