Grand video pal, really enjoyed it. Getting prepped to do it with a friend next month so prepping like a maniac trying to get my kit as light as possible but still being comfortable. Were aiming for 12 days max but you smashing it out in 10 is a solid effort. Literally cant wait
As we get futher through the video I couldn't believe that was your first wild camp. That's probably the tidiest I've ever seen a Lanshan set up. Looks good.
Mate, brilliant. Loving the pub meals and the fact you opened the gate at the A19 when the big gate was open…..howler. Fair play. Loved it. Let me know the details for the charity.
Congrats on finishing and a great video. Walked the route Sep 22 (hotel2hotel with organised group) - next time I plan E to W and then walk home to Whitehaven from St Bees. BTW - The road about 38:30 was the A1, the A19 was the bar steward rd just before getting to The Blue Bell - hopefully as part of the route becoming an official trail they'll do something to make crossing safer?
Great Vid & top effort, Martin! I did the C2C with a mate in September 2023 (but stayed in pubs, no tents!) so was hoping to see us in the background somewhere but no luck. It was hard enough doing with a mate and staying in pubs with a shower and clean sheets every night so full credit to you, you Champion, doing it without the niceties most of the time. Much respect, great job. BTW, loved every minute of mine (and yours), best thing I've done in the last 20 years. Mick, Australia
Thanks for watching Mick and taking the time to leave such great comments, it means a lot to me as I still think about it every day with such fond memories the same as you, we probably crossed paths somewhere along the way lol, I feel the same it’s the best thing I’ve done for a long time and am sure I will do it again, all the best mate, thanks again 👍🏼
Can you remember the names of the places you stayed? I did C2C Sept 22, hotel to hotel in an organised group holiday so next time I'm thinking about going E to W (no one seems to do organised E to W) = and as I only live 5 miles from St Bees, I can walk home at the end. Cheers
Top effort Martin and well filmed. It looked like you had an even helping of sunshine and showers, but those rainy days did look brutal. Doing the entire trail within 10 days is some going; especially carrying all your gear including tent. Out of interest is your tent a Lanshan 2; I’m thinking of getting myself a lightweight tent and this tent looks a good candidate? Hope your kids and wife catch the hiking bug because it’s a lovely pastime. I’ve two girls who are now in their early twenties, but as a family we’ve had loads of great holidays walking in the Lakes. Keep up the good work and take care. 👍🏻
Hi Jon, thanks for taking your time out to watch it, yes I had a great time and the family are very interested so hopefully it gives them the bug aswell which will include many more lakes visits as it’s a wonderful place 👍🏼 . Yes I have the lanshan 2 pro, I could not recommend this tent enough, loads of space and very light, definitely one of my favourite pieces of kit, can get condensation on inside as it is a single wall but that is expected, 10 out of 10 from me 👍🏼
Just watched this mate, really good vid 👌 im planning on doing the coast to coast at the beginning of April, can i ask what app you used to track your route?
Hi mate, thanks for taking the time to watch, it was a great experience, I used maps me as you can download maps for free and use on your phone gps without internet, also put the route on my garmin watch using DW maps app. If you need any more info just let me know 👍🏼

Thanks for watching, I did the mods and changes with setups in the garden, but yes that was my first ever wild camp and I loved it 👍🏻
Amazing Martin well done!!!
Just watched the first 10 mins bud and got to say I’m very impressed. We finished at the start of September and missing it already 🙈
Thanks for you comment, I did follow you and your boy on the group, what an amazing achievement, your boy is a legend 👏
@@martindavis9236 ah cheers mate - hoping to watch a bit more tonight once the kids are down. Did you catch the video of Part 1??
Just watched it pal, brilliant , can’t wait till part 2 👌🏼
