the best way to play badminton is 7 games of 11 points and each point should be played for no more than 2 minutes as this is as feather and it loses it flight. or the alternative is if possible shuttle should be made of some light plastic instead of duck feather. as shuttle speed can be drop 90% in each stroke and thus making it like circus. the players are playing more by reflex action. for example, you can't match a flick/hard hit of a shuttle with a repeat flick (only rarely this can be done.) the only way to solve this is to create a little heavy shuttle and yet slow it speed by wider spread of the feathers. so each player can control his action and vary his speed instead of reflex action. and point scoring should be like tennis. say every 45 point change serve. as in shuttle the player who is serving the bird is at a disadvantage. for example when player A serves he is invariable facing a fast paced rocket like bird on his side -ie. 'served back' a bullet hit .if you play against opponents like ( Liem swei king, mohammed ashan (leaping like cheetahs to catch the bird early) u will notice this kind of action. this is a bigger problem in doubles. think over this. may be the above version can be used for outdoor like tennis kind of arena.

the way they are playing currently top bet is Rankireddy getting a medal spot.. Which i do think is possible.. Too much attention to singles has somehow hampered there games.. Specially sindhu after gold at world championship haven't done anything positive whereas doubles have shown great.. Wouldn't be surprised if india gets a medal in men doubles... But Gold??
I think there are way better players than Indians currently who have higher chances there

Its because other asian countries always had badminton culture and infrastructure. And making badminton infrastructure, and getting people excited about badminton in a country obsessed with studies and cricket is already phenomenal. It might not look so great for other but what he did is huge service not only to the game but to the world sporting culture. Even other world champions from Malaysia china korea respect him very much for his contribution to badminton.
