This week, we continue working on a project that we started a while ago... the fence! Once the fence is complete, it will help us keep out all of the wild animals, cows, and donkeys. This will allow us to work on landscaping, gardening, and starting a compost. Развлечения
"That is one big piece of wood!"🙊"that's what she said!"😁😁😂😂classic Spencer😋.........
I was saying that's NOT what she said just as he said that ,lol.
🙄 typical man.. lol
I was thinking the same thing... haha
She walked right into that comment.
If he had not said that - would have checked him for a fever. lol
I love your dog. Bear has so much personality. He is adorable.
like Grandfather
Beer she is girl not boy
Bear seems to take his job very seriously. I can't wait to see him with the wee one.
Yeah, he's got a firm grasp on reality.
That's what she said! @ 3:13. Love it! Love that you have free range food walking your property. Eat on the cheap! Keep making these vids guys! We love to see y'all
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE McKenzie's laugh!
Me too!:)
You two are so great! Keep up all the hard work, so many folks appreciate what you share and the time you spend filming and editing. 😀💙
Where is the other precious dog?
This is by far the best way to place wooden posts in the ground especially for extended life, I was so pleased to see you do it this way. No concrete in sight!
Bear is a ham and a sweetheart! :) I think those hogs were asking if you had a freezer they could go in....:) Good eating! Great work on the fence, you may want to keep the long posts, the deer may jump over what you have so far....
The fence is looking great! Love Bear 🐕 so much! He’s got a great personality! That look on his face when you say walk! Priceless! 👍😁🇨🇦
Girl you got yourself a good man. God bless your family.
They are a beautiful couple aren't they! Great role models too.
Yes. Correct lol
Exactly very impressive accomplishment seems everything he does done professionally he’s smart guy lucky girl
they are perfect couple
long live 😭😭😭
Bear is trying to tell you NOT to use that swing! He is so smart! God bless you kids 😂😍 Every video is awesome and I have enjoyed them from the beginning 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😂❤️
Great fence; great home; great couple...and FREE PORK! Couldn't be better!
I love how raw and nice you guys are, makes me happy inside and out just laughing at my phone randomly while on screen there’s a MASSIVE 🐍 wow wow wow. I’d loose my 💩 if that thing was near me. Bear is beautiful and has such an amazing personality! You guys are such a beautiful couple as well always laughing. Can’t wait for family member #4 to show on screen 🤣
Editing, longer vid, and music are all fantastic as usual! You guys never fail to make me smile :)
Girls got great smile and laugh. Sweetness.
Check out your electrical boxes and pump house for Beetles , they will go where its warm for the winter. Don't forget to put your corner post in. They will help support the pull.
That’s alot of free groceries running around out there, with all those wild hogs.... Great job on the fence.👍 Love the way you two keep chugging along. You are a wonderful team.
mix the cement dust with the soil when you back fill, helps to firm up the soil so your fence wont move as much.
It would also make the posts harder to replace. Catch 22.
GROUND WATER WILL TAKE CARE OF IT
they need to tamp from lower down the pole. you can't just backfill it all and tamp the top as what's under it is still loose, you can tell by how easy it is to wobble and the dirt ring only the top few inches. Back fill a bit, tamp, back fill a bit, tamp. Its not a job you can rush. I was taught to do it by a park ranger years ago and we did whole stock fields that way and with much bigger posts and the end result was no wobble and no way could you pull them up by hand. we tensioned the wire with a land rover and they all stayed upright.
@@FaenumVena Yep, backfill 4" and compact with fencing bar. No need for cement then if you have soil with sufficient clay content.
@@FaenumVena, Can't deny that they buried them pretty deep, which most people do not do.
Please You guys can never, ever, ever stop your weekly videos........You guys are the best thing so funny. McKenzie makes me laugh so much and I need that😄😄😄😄
Hey Spence my husband asked what the word " Batch" refers to in the Solar Batch Water Heater"?
Nice fence.
Good boy Bear for man handling mommy!
Go Bear!
Thankyou for sharing.
Good luck with the HOGS !
Tank you for the 18 minutes video, more is better.
The fence is looking so nice. Coyotes in our area are jumping 6' solid cedar fences to get into peoples yards, desperate for food/furbabys and they don't care if people are in the yards or not. Creepy. So fun seeing it all come together for all of you. Bear is such a loveable silly. Take good care.
Due to crazy Texas weather I’d cement them posts in. Here’s to praying they never become missiles in a storm. Thanks for great videos x editing, and letting us get a glimpse of your beautiful life. Blessings ♥️🐶
Man! I love you guys, It's strange how this year has gone so fast❤🌈🌊🌴😯
Wow thanks guys!!
Yes McKenzie, don't forget you're with child, don't want an early baby!! By the way, your Baby Bump is getting so big, which is a beautiful thing! That much closer to holding Him or Her. Praying for nothing but a Happy and Healthy Baby!! God Bless, Teresa
It's so cute to see how Bear keeps close tabs on you but game over when you say walk! It's quite obvious how much he's enjoying his early evening walks with you two! The fence is really awesome looking! Keep that bunch of feral hogs at a distance because they can get really vicious . Looking forward to seeing what you do for your next major project! Thanks for sharing this video, great job with the content!
Spencer kills me with his perfect time of "that's what she said" hahahahahahaha Mckenzie walks right into it without realizing it hahaha
I just say "I got lumber".
I look forward to your videos every week. Love em👍🏻❤️
I love your videos. I love the way you keep Bear in your videos with you. That is a real family.
The humor you two share is a joy to watch.
I love what you're doing, love your relationship, but I have to say that the candid shots of Bear are just the Best!!!
I'd still like to see some interaction with the young donkey, he/she is really cute!
Did you just assume that the donkey is a binary gender?!?!?!!! Triggered.
Bear, what a fantastic dog, finding the swinging of his mistress dangerous, he warns her with a song! Priceless!
That's what she said. CLASS! Best comeback of the year so far!!
It’s good to remember, in Texas, like most everywhere, there is no closed season or bag limit on feral hogs.
However, the one I tasted wasn't all that good.
@@colstace2560 - after the hog is bled, could you soak the meat in water or wine or some fruit juice to make it not taste so strong??
@@colstace2560 perhaps that was the problem. Porkchops and a roast was given to me by a hunter in California...so strong flavored...yuk.
Feed the old to Bear and eat the younger ones.. or pen them feed them corn and meal for a month or two . Tasty !
Longest vid, worth the wait.
Thanks for another great upload, you two are a credit to humanity, respect from the United Kingdom.
Such a wonderful couple who compliment each other- I watch your channel on a daily basis. Sending all of you much love from Australia 🥰
The Conners and at the end of fence nee concrete and cross bracing lumber.
I'm in China... i could feel when he smashed the rocks of that hole!
GOOD 1
That's a good one!
One of the things I look forward to are your videos, please keep them coming ❤️.
I still think it’s a girl just as beautiful as her mommy, but if it’s a boy Spencer will be a very proud Daddy regardless of what’s in his future, the love you two have for each other is indeed priceless. Praying for you both, and I know others are as well doing the same.
Be good, Mike
So awesome that you're finally getting your fence, it will be good to keep the critters out. Thanks for sharing and love the two of you a lot, love the humor and bear is just adorable. Bye for now.
Thank you for letting me be apart of your family.
Seriously consider running two hotwires on the outside of your fence; one just above the top rail and one at hog/coyote nose height. Simple add-on that will dramatically increase the predator-proofing. Could well keep deer away from your veggies too - although, with deer, nothing is guaranteed!
Those little deer can hop that fence in less than a heartbeat. They LOVE fruit trees and gardens. Be prepared... A strand of that electric fence "tape" up at about six feet just above your 2X6 will discourage them, doesn't have to be charged, they won't try to jump it that high. Might need a 'charged wire' down low for the hogs. Michael in Colorado.
You guys are fun to watch and an inspiration. Congrats on the fence.
I’ve been looking the past two days for y’all to put up a video lol. 😂
I’ve been waiting for you guys❤️
You guys are so amazing! I looked forward to watching your progress each week, great job!
Love it . Good to see bear having fun . I have a boxer named Roxi she now ten and she makes our family complete. As I am sure Bear will with your family. I am just glad to see that fence going up keeping you all safe. love it love you both cant wait for the next one. x
I really love your dream house and a damn nice house it's turning out to be👍
Lol, y’all are too funny. Lookin’ good!
Thank you Guys we are enjoying your projects , love the wildlife ,
Good to see the fence is finally on its way up. Thank you for sharing your journey with us xxx
Please use concrete or foam to isolate the wood from ground contact... I know its wolmanized pressure treated... but why not do it the best way first time. More than triple the life. Good luck!
Yep , and throw in a chunk of rock or gravel so the post sits off the dirt bottom helps also .
concrete direct contact is no different than soil, actually worse sometimes as soil will dry, concrete never dries and will always have moisture content
Here's a tip that will assure the posts don't rot at the ground/dirt connection.
Drill a 3/4'', 16'' deep hole, starting 6'' above the ground at such an angle, so the end, ends up in the center of each fence post. Fill with diesel, kerosene, old or new oil and plug the hole with a wooden plug. Do this for the first 2-3 yrs, then every 2yrs after and those posts will never snap off, due to rotting. I have some that are over 35yrs old. They always rot and break where they enter the ground, this will absolutely stop it.
Thanks for this video, I love watching your progress, ps. those cat like instincts will come in handy soon
I take for granted the lumber was treated. Good Job. I drove a lot of posts in the ground when I lived on my dad's farm; that was back in the early 50's. thanks for a very good video. if those were wild hog a 223 or 308 would help keep them out. (Mississippi gulf coast).
You guys are so awesome!! I always feel hopeful after watching your videos! Thank you!
I had a Chocolate Lab, his name was also BEAR. Died at 13 years old. Glad to see another one.
Roy Jackson Labs are good dogs.
@@Grahamcracker6366, The best and sorry Roy for your loss :((
@@Grahamcracker6366 I'm happy to agree.
Tops of post could hold insulators for electric fence to keep DEER out. They can decimate a garden
Greg Sullivan truth
Hi. Looking great . I had to put up electric wire outside fence. (Here piggy piggy and other varmints)
LOVE you guys. Blessings.
Wood! that's what she said. Good on ya, Spencer. Gal, yer as big as a barn and that's what your supposed to be. Can't wait for the little one to arrive. Very best to both of you.
Still waiting to see the stairs to safely go in and out of your Home!
If you’re concerned about those PT 4x4s warping and twisting then you will constantly be changing them! You need to buy round PT post instead. 😁
Yup and do this:
Drill a 3/4'', 16'' deep hole, starting 6'' above the ground at such an angle, so the end, ends up in the center of each fence post. Fill with diesel, kerosene, old or new oil and plug the hole with a wooden plug. Do this for the first 2-3 yrs, then every 2yrs after and those posts will never snap off, due to rotting. You all are truly bessed to have what you have! One of the most honest relationships I've seen in a build. Congratulations.
I really love all your videos.. hope you stay strong and keep that love burning..
Did i just seen the needle mark empty👏👏👏👏
Letter to the editor; From the first time I caught your content to now, I have loved the music selections! Could I get you to include the selection info in the notes? I'd love to hear more of some of the artists you play.FR
@frederic rike I also LOVE the music that they've chosen for the videos!! Just an FYI, for anyone who may be interested, I've created a Spotify playlist of almost all of the songs. There were just a very few songs that I couldn't find. The playlist is just a tad over 9 hours in length and is great to have as background music and to bring back memories from the videos.
Go to Spotify and search 'Life Uncontained' or 'Rachel M' or, perhaps, both at once. Cheers!
@@rachelmaddess2390 Thanks!
@@fredericrike5974 My pleasure. I hope you enjoy the playlist. 😊
@@rachelmaddess2390 Found it .. Thank You
@@fknthng You're welcome! I hope you enjoy it.
Not my only take away from the video but the shot of the post hole digger going into the hole was awesome! Great video y’all! So glad you got the fence up and found those bettles!
Can’t wait to watch you guys garden. Plants and trees should go in ASAP!!! They take time to grow!!!!!
That is a great Idea using a ratchet strap, That's a lot of wild hogs. If I was you I would put me up a hot wire BC you know and I know If a hog sees something nothing will stop them they will get in. Get yourself a Solar powered hot wire going just on the bottom.
leave the posts high and run a strand or 2 or barbed wire along the top, you'll be glad you did. Jim in central Florida
Good idea
There’s a lot of small predators who would jump and/or climb the welded wire. A run of barbed wire over the top would help a TON!
Mr j.r.s. Great idea,,,the fence look too low,,,,,they got serious animals out there,,,,,
I second that, the deer will leap right over that fence.
Mr j.r.s. Coyotes will hop that fence as well. Definitely needs a strand or two of barbwire at the top maybe even a strand of electric along the bottom to prevent digging.
If y'all start doing some landscaping, consider putting cardinal plants along the water, they're absolutely beautiful when they bloom and they are native. Y'all should also grow some peppers, they would love the climate as long as you keep them watered and they are really pretty in addition to being useful for cooking
Pregnancy duck walk, an honor earned from growing happy baby! You look gorgeous Mrs, from one mamma to another! Cheers!
Is the rain-fed water system working good ? Do the collection tanks fill to the top ?
Wild Hogs make great chops and bacon or even ham ;-)
Sausages.
Trap a few and put them on feed for a month or so. Will tame the wild taste down and put some fat on them.
@Johnny Draco, I agree. The taste is horrible. JMO.
Can hogs be infected with CWD?
@@colstace2560 Probably not? I wouldn't take a chance on eating feral hog meat without getting it tested.
Seriously love you two! Your journey is our (my husband and I’s) goal and your relationship is so genuine and adorable
not the grammar police . . . but . . . . please replace the word "I's" with "my". Thanks!
18 minutes! That was the longest yet and I love it!!! I can't get enough of you guys and all you do!!! 😍
I'm going to miss the donkey!
Where's he going ? Or just the fact that he cannot visit because of the fence ?
My dad used to tell me that when it was raining and sun shining God was answering 2 prayers at once..
My dad told me that it was because it wasn't raining over there because the clouds weren't covering that part of the earth.
He never lied to me.
I know God exists. But that's just silly.
@@Finn-McCool seriously? that was your takeaway on that?? cynical much??
My Dad would say the Devil is beating up his wife you could hear them if you went behind the bedroom door 😈!
Isn't it so funny when dog is sleeping and they ignore you, when you say do you want to go for a walk they perked right up and there ready. This is so funny it's what happens to us.
You’re going to be awesome parents, all the you have for each other will only grow with a little one god bless you both
"everything I say" That's what she said! ;o)
Soon as I saw the title, I knew it was keeping the animals out, Bear in. Now to watch the video 😃
Going for a walk in the middle of the fence build! Love it...
Nice work on the fencing project so far. You may want to add diagonal boards on each side around the gate area to provide extra wracking support. Also adding another board in the opposite angle would give your added wracking resistance in the opposite direction. As you probably know, the triangle is one of the strongest support design in the world, which makes them great options for fences. Some builders also use 1/4 inch cable and turn buckles to accomplish the same thing and either option works very well. The homestead is looking more like a home every day.
Awesome job guy's I love it,Happy late Thanksgiving to you and all your Family,Hey guy's you have a Zoo there at night lol ,I love it later take care and much love :)
You said "cat like reflexes" right in front of the dog. How dare you!😃
I'm still with you and you are looking good. Blessings from Iowa
Jacked hardwood posts out of concrete set holes. All came out, leaving clean concrete holes. Dropped new posts straight in holes. At my old age, fantastic!.
Watch out for the wild boar, as they’re extremely damaging to property and other wildlife.
Why didn't you use concrete footers to put the fence posts in?
Especially if you expect to keep out hogs.
You guys crack me up, nice job on the fence, keep up the great work, nearly there. Scott, Perth, Western Australia
The wildlife is fantastic. It is going to be a fantastic place to raise a child.
Now, If only you could keep those damn Snakes out... Also, might want to keep the fence post-high, so that you could add more wire on the top if you find that Deer are jumping over into the yard!!!
Good luck keeping the hogs out.
Next step would be to put a hot wire about 6" off the ground around the outside perimeter of the fence. That would help a lot with all of the undesirables.
You’ve got a special girl on your hands, keep up the good work you two!
These get more and more enjoyable. Thanks for sharing your life.
