    If you need to work on your suspension components but they were sprayed with fluid film or grease, simply wipe them all off, work on your suspension and reapply the products afterwards👌

      That's the worst combination you can apply on your car !!!!! That grease will attract dust and sand on ...and later on that will hold water and moisture on . I just bought a w123 with the combination you just do.i would not do it ! There are better rust preventions and type of paint for it .

      @@mercedesbenzw123enthusiast7 No man, you’re wrong. It means that the car that you bought already had rust and they covered it up with grease and fluid film. You must wire wheel and treat rust first. The grease and fluid film will slow down the rust but you need to fix it first.
      I’ve been doing this for over 2 years, don’t tell me any other way. This is the only way to preserve cars out there. I don’t care whether you agree or not. The grease and fluid film don’t hold up moisture, watch the video till the end seriously. My grandfather used to do this to his Volga back in the 70s! And his car was still like new back in the 90s! If you don’t know, don’t comment.
      Another example is having oil leaks under your car and you can see those spots don’t rust unlike the spots that aren’t covered in oil!
      I did the same to my dad’s W123 before shipping it, and that car is doing amazing and super clean underneath! I’ll make a video as soon as I see it again. Some dirt will stick to it but then it’ll fall off. Seriously watch the video fully and till the end. My rear wheel wells on 190e have been greased up for over a year and they look clean and barely any dirt is stuck to them. Showing that in the video. No hard feelings👌

      God save the 190e! I've owned three. I have the last model year 1993. I'm going to pick n pull soon to get a bumper. These cars can turn inside a small radius compared to other cars. The wheels lean over...

    Your metod is the best!! I live in Sweden With lots of roadsalt. I do the same with grease. I also use oil in the hide spots. When you drive gravelroads the gravel dust sticks to the grease and you have a very good protection👍 all the rubber undercoating is shit. They will just hide the rust under it and get worst.

    Most old taxi drivers in Europe. And smart people. In the 70s 80s 90s. Who drove Mercedes 115W,116W,123W Would flush lower body parts through the winter with water wen the temperatures allowed +5 Celsius… and they actually pumped oil in the drain plug’s. Seal the plugs. And draw like that day or two. Until Oil is evenly distributed. Actually I will do that in my Mercedes 190D My Mercedes is 1989 and is in mint condition. 180tkm driven only long distance.

    The undercarriage on 190. Weakest point is. Part where the car lift should go. You will see the bubbling starts where the rubber is. Don’t wait for the rust come through the coding. Solve it immediately. And then you are carefree 10 years minimum.

    Hey Vito, why don't you apply some rubberized undercoating, like the spay in bed liners, they will last longer than grease and if you prepare the surface correctly, it will last forever

    Hello Sir, another nice video. May I ask regarding k jet engine. Do you have a video where you connect the sensor plate to the throttle body which is already connected to the intake manifold? I happen to be stuck on this, any technique on how to properly connects, rubber boot won't budge in. Thanks

    • @VITOSGARAGE
      @VITOSGARAGE  3 года назад

      Hi. You have to be very patient with that. Put some silicone lube on the part where the boot contacts the metal part of the throttle body. And try to work it in. You might have to use a plastic pick tool or something too. Double check to make sure the boot went all the way around without getting pinched, and then tighten the clamp

    • @VITOSGARAGE
      @VITOSGARAGE  3 года назад +1

      They are very very similar, some suspension components are interchangeable. Lower ball joints are the same, for example. A lot of parts on W201 start with part numbers “124” . W201 is just a little smaller than W124, and that’s why W201 is also called a Baby Benz

      It's for protection against the rust. If they don't use salt in your area, you might be ok. However, I'd coat everything with grease and fluid film inside the trunk and under the carpets. Metal doesn't like water and if you have any water leaks in your car, grease and fluid film will protect the metal
