Thank you for the link, but I already have your videos (and love them). I'm looking for the WRITTEN versions (both sc and DC) that I can copy and print out. If you don't, I'll send them both to you when I finish!
I have been crocheting for 65 years and still watch as many videos and tutorials as possible. I crochet every day. I almost treat myself like a newbie who is always open to learning new stitches and techniques of crochet and seem to learn something new every day. The step up joins still frustrates me after all this time and this is a real find for me. Thank you.
Personally, I’m a visual learner, so watching and listening to the music is perfect for me…different strokes for different folks and can’t please everyone😊
perfect, as a visual lerner, your demo t style really works for me. i can relax and absorb, listening to the music, creating my own words for what is shown. Yarn over, grab it, yarn over, lock 2, yarn over exit 2. then ican repeat that in my head for each step. my neurospicy brain makes more sence of things this way. it also means i dont have to go chek how to do stitches, or work out if its uk or usa terms.

This is brilliant!!! I love this. So smooth and beautiful. I have always disliked the join lines. Thank you so so much from a seasoned crocheter for many decades.
Thank you very much !!! This wonderful instruction will take the looks of my crochet items up to a much higher level !!! So happy !!! Lol I was just starting a crochet shopping bag with a round bottom and really didn't love the looks of the chain 3 at the beginning of the row and the slanted line it made !!! Needless to say I frogged it all and started it over this way !!! This will work for all projects !!! PERFECT Timing !!! : ) Also love the finishing no lump or bump go in from the back and then through the back loop only, Brilliant !!!!!
Cool. That's actually how I started doing my invisible joins a couple months ago. I figured it out in my own but, I never thought about incorporating the manuever into a project with rounds. Awesome. Thanks for sharing.
What she does: The first round she chains 2 at the start before double crocheting, just like you usually would do with 3 chains. When she goes to join in the 2nd round, she does not slip stitch into the top of the 2 chains, she skips those chains, and she slip stitches into the first double crochet. Then, the rounds after that, she starts each round with a single crochet and then a chain after the single crochet, before beginning regular double crochets. When she goes to join in the 3rd round, she skips the single crochet and the chain, and slip stitches into the firsy double crochet.
Thank you for the tip and for making a video plain and simple - without so much blah-blah.🙉! so many years without knowing how to do a circle without that annoying line. Thank you 😁
I really like your videos. I especially appreciate it when u put yarn content and needle size on the screen for me... I know it seems so simple but I don't know those things
Oh thank you so much, for showing us all the most easier way to get through the magic circle. I was always stuffed it up. I like your method, so much better. Thank you for sharing ❤
AMAZING! simple trick with such an impact on how it looks! thank you for this video. I make coasters all the time and always hated how the seam looked. I will be using this technique from here on x
As a seasoned crocheter I'm always happy to see new & or better ways to stitch ! Thank you I've always used a magic ring but do not care for it, so now while making many many mandala blankets in the round for Christmas (I've had orders since Feb lol) I'll be using your style for those as well as coasters, stuffed animals & blanket appliques so thank you again ! I'm loving the music, it makes it easier to follow you w/o constant chatter like other videos lol
Excellent video, very easy to follow. I have struggled with my rounds looking neat and this really helped me. Thank you for using a yarn that is easy to see!
For anyone wanting the formula for doing rounds/circles, its really simple! Each new row add an extra 1 stitch into the repeat. To make is easier ill use SC but this works on sc, hdc or dc Row 1) X sts of sc 2) 2 sc (so 2 sts - an increase -in each st from below) repeated 3) 1sc, 2sc - repeated (so 1 sc into 1st stitch, 2sc increase into next stitch) 4) 1sc, 1sc, 2sc increase 5) 1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 2sc inc 6)1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 2sc inc If you count up each stitch as you go it makes it easy to not forget where you are. So each round has the same number of stitches (if you cout ur increase sts as 1 each but put into the same stitch) in the repeat as the round you are on. So ...... Round 3 = 3 stitches per repeat (1sc, 2sc 1+2=3) Round 4 = 4 stitches per repeat (1sc, 1sc, 2sc 1+1+2=4) Round 5 = 5 sts per repeat (1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 2sc 1+1+1+2=5) If you alway put ur 2 sts at the end of the repeat (not the beginning) then no matter which round you are on you count that number of stitches, knowing that the last 2 are an increase (into the same stitch). So if ur on round 4 you know youll have 2 sc & your increase is in stitch 3 & will be sts 3 & 4. If ur on round 8, youll have 6 sc & then ur increase will be the last 2 sts of the repeat so sts 7 & 8. If ur on round 12 then youll have 10 sc & sts 11 & 12 will be ur increase. I hope this makes sense!!
I love this and your work is so neat but I really wish there were some explanation about the brilliant stitches you do. Into the back of a stitch, SC then ch 1 etc. relying on the visuals is quite hard. have mercy.
I like this technique very much. Nice clean transition. Thank you for this helpful video and I will give it a whirl on a hat I am making. ☺️. UPDATE:. Tried this trick and it works. I love the clean no line join. Makes your project look so professional. A million thanks, Crochet Master❣️
I'm a seasoned crocheter and your invisible join is the BEST ever! Thank you! Before I type out the entire instructions for both your SC and DC methods, do you already have a tutorial written out that I can just copy? Thank you in advance for hopefully saving me from a long and tedious job.
Another great way to end a round! Might I share the way i have seen for starting a round? Instead of a chain 3, do a single crochet and then another single on the side bar in the front of the first one. It might not be a thing for everybody but maybe worth a try. I use it all the time
Love this!!! My issue is that, no matter how hard I try, my project starts to curl and will not lie flat to make a coaster! Ends up looking like I'm making a small beanie or something. Lol 😭
It's probably because you're tightening a bit, but it's natural that it does this! Try to lay it on a flat surface and rub it in circular motions. It works perfectly for me! If that's not the issue, maybe you're miscounting the stitches?
If the pattern calls for single crochet (SC), do we just start the row with a SC (without a ch as you’d do for a DC pattern)? Thank you for the tutorial. I love it.
I will add all photos of patterns to my Facebook group, with a link to the video. You can share or save them to your page. Subscribe: facebook.com/groups/1060845707940786
So, as far as I can see, the only difference from visible join is that you make the connection going into the back of the stitch? It’s not very clear and I think this is why people are complaining about the music and no verbal instructions.
No, it's not the only stitch that hides the visible join; if you look carefully, she connects the end of each row by joining to the end of the second stitch thro the back of it, and then does a single crochet and then a chain followed by a DC in the same chain hole, if you get my meaning, lol. Looks tricky but it is really quite simple, and a lovely video of leaning process. :)
Very cool! I do have a question, though. If the initial sc+ch counts as the first st, but then you join the round into the first dc, how do you not lose a st from skipping over the sc+ch?
Fo me, circles that start with either 6 or 12 stitches curl the least when finished. I'm not sure if the multiple just happens to create better circles or if I am just crocheting all other multiples too loose or too tight.

I have never seen a crochet circle look virtually perfect. Absolutely amazing! Thank you so much for sharing this with us!
Thank you!
This is the very best seamless crochet in the round I’ve ever seen and from today the only one I will use. Absolutely fabulous x
Thank you!
This is what I love about crochet! There is always something new to learn. What a simple solution!
Love the way you teach, no unnecessary chatter! Just straight to the details! Learning something new everyday!!! Thank you so much 💓
Best video I have seen for round starting/ finishing technique and the fastening off 'invisibly' technique.
What a Fabulous way to join rounds invisibly! Thank You So Much!!!
The perfect solution to eliminating the “join line”. Now I too will only crochet like this. Great job and demonstration! Thank you!

beautiful joining . 60 years of crocheting and didn't know this join.

So, basically replace the chain 2 with (sc, ch1) at the beginning of each round and then increase as you normally would?

Instead of a music loop, I would rather hear you describe what you are doing.
You might be surprised to find that you might be listening to someone speaking a language you've never learned. This way the lesson is universal.
I prefer the music. That way I can watch without being distracted by talking.
I agree about the music loop....annoying

Excellent tutorial on how to crochet properly. Thank you
For anyone wanting the formula for doing rounds/circles, its really simple! Each new row add an extra 1 stitch into the repeat.
To make is easier ill use SC but this works on sc, hdc or dc
Row 1) X sts of sc
2) 2 sc (so 2 sts - an increase -in each st from below) repeated
3) 1sc, 2sc - repeated (so 1 sc into 1st stitch, 2sc increase into next stitch)
4) 1sc, 1sc, 2sc increase
5) 1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 2sc inc
6)1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 2sc inc
If you count up each stitch as you go it makes it easy to not forget where you are. So each round has the same number of stitches (if you cout ur increase sts as 1 each but put into the same stitch) in the repeat as the round you are on. So ......
Round 3 = 3 stitches per repeat (1sc, 2sc 1+2=3)
Round 4 = 4 stitches per repeat (1sc, 1sc, 2sc 1+1+2=4)
Round 5 = 5 sts per repeat (1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 2sc 1+1+1+2=5)
If you alway put ur 2 sts at the end of the repeat (not the beginning) then no matter which round you are on you count that number of stitches, knowing that the last 2 are an increase (into the same stitch).
Thanks for sharing this...now I will not get confused on what row I am making

You don't lose a stitch because you work in the join stitch, which you normally skip. :D
Wow, this is wonderful!! Thank you for sharing and the clear tutorial.

I love this. Tq for sharing. So easy method. Gonna follow this tutorial for all project
Here I thought that I was doing something wrong. Apparently, no matter how one crochets a circle, it still wants to curl.
Fo me, circles that start with either 6 or 12 stitches curl the least when finished. I'm not sure if the multiple just happens to create better circles or if I am just crocheting all other multiples too loose or too tight.
Thank you for an awesome tutorial. I loved the relaxing music. ❤
