It reminds me of his performance from a Knights Tale. He single-handedly stole the show from that movie, even with the other amazing actors which were starring in it. I loved the 2nd episode of Wandavision even more than the 1st because he really let loose there.
Mrs. Hart saying stop it to Wanda while her husband is choking and Vision not moving to help him until he's told to shows that Wanda is in control of this reality/simulation
A little more about the Stark Commercial. The Toaster not only had a red blinking light - but it was also SPEEDING up, as in a bomb that is about to go off. But when it stops - there is no explosion. JUST like at the time when that bomb landed nearby Wanda and Pietro's abode but didn't go off. And who manufactured the bomb? STARK. There's an incredible amount of subtle easter eggs and hints at this and that.
4:40 did nobody else notice it is making a bomb countdown noise, refrencing Wanda's origin when she was trapped with Pietro in a hole with a Stark Industries bomb, causing her to hate the Avengers. The next episode's reference is to Baron Von Strucker, again with the sound of the bomb, meaning eventually Wanda will have to face her traumatic memories. Remember, Kevin Fiege said that the commercials were important.

If you look at Wanda during the dinner scene she’s breaking the fourth walk again her looks right into the camera in confusion. It felt like the twilight zone during that part
That actually freaked me out for a second because I couldn't tell whether she was looking at the cam or at Vis hah, very twilight zone or Local58 "something is wrong here" themes.
The blinking red machine made by Stark industries may be a creepy nod to the bomb that killed Wanda's parents from Stark industries, and another bomb that didn't go off, that they were trapped with for 2 days possibly watching a blinking red light, waiting for it to kill them.
I had to rewatch that choking scene because of how uneasy it was just with the sudden change in the camera work. The entirety of the show had been a traditional old single camera experience like a classic sitcom of old. Suddenly the angles are different, more modern, cinematic. Not everything is clear and in focus. There is a slow zoom. Suddenly the camera is alive in a way it had never been. Meanwhile Mrs Hart repeats "stop it" over and over with a smile and glazed look that makes one wonder if she had any idea the severity of what was happening. Then suddenly everything is snapped back into happy sitcom mode. It was so seamless and so amazingly unsettling to me.
3 years later, still one of the most brilliant scenes I’ve ever seen from marvel, just perfect execution of unsettlement and something being clearly wrong, i wish i could see that scene again for the first time.

I was quite shocked at some of the other reactions I've seen. Many of them are along the lines of "there is not enough intrigue in the first two episodes, and the plot doesn't really get going". Like did I watch a different series or something? I think a lot of them were expecting superhero hijinks from the very start, when they have been very clear that this series is going to be different from the generic superhero formula. The acting has been top-notch, especially with Bettany having a blast, and there are so many hints and easter eggs that something sinister is lurking beneath the sitcom exterior. The general premise is that it is a mystery, so of course they are not going to reveal everything in the first two episodes... Some people are saying that perhaps those aspects were too subtle and that the reactors aren't picking it up. Some aspects were, but so many of them were in-your-face that it's surprising none of them picked up on it. And I'm not even a comic reader.
I’t would be a plot twist if Wanda is the thing keeping people here. Let me explain myself everyone thinks Wanda is being manipulated by Mephisto or Nightmare but I think it’s just her

So let me explain what happened during the choking scene. After vision's boss started to ask too many question 8:28 Wanda wave her hands, using her power to make him choke, after that his wife kept pleading for help by saying stop it over and over again, since she didn't want to break character and get punishment from Wanda, vision kept looking at Wanda in a certain way, like please give me permission to help the poor man, and Wanda, who had the voice who someone who did not give a crap about them let vision help them.

I think it’s ok right now but I think it could be better as it goes on I think once everything is out and I rewatch everything it will get better for me
I believe the B&W episodes Dick Van Dyke was the man who helped not just get the feel of living in the 50s with sitcoms but also help direct the actors move and feel of how it’s like to be in a 50s/60s show
Finished watching the episode, loved it! This one is a reference to "I Love Lucy" from the 50's I think. That dinner scene...was so bizzare and I knew something like that was coming, but didn't know when 😖 Also the cameo from the actress from That 70's Show was great. Recently finished the 2nd one and wow, I want moreeee.
I really love this show so far. I love how character driven it really is rather than action driven. It really gives these characters a depth we rarely see in superhero media. Especially for the MCU. However, if you look at this show from a surface level which most people seem to unfortunately be doing, it’ll come off as just confusing and a bit annoying that they haven’t gotten to punching anything yet. I also feel that this is the type of show that is supposed to be binged. Given the type of fan base the MCU has acquired, the majority of viewers expect something similar to what they’ve always been given. A continuous engaging story with a lot of action and some comedy in the mix. This show so far has been nothing like that. I applaud how well they’ve managed to capture the feel of a 50’s-60’s sitcom, with aspect ratio and the commercials in between, but if they’re going to do something like that it’s better to make it so that the viewer can continue to watch as they please until they get to the point that they’ve been waiting for. These episodes leave many wanting more, not because they want to see more of what they’ve gotten, but because of the lack of entertainment they expect. The majority aren’t going to want to have to wait a week to see an episode just for it to be about Vision and Wanda doing a magic show for the town, and then having to wait another whole week for something more exciting. Btw I’m not down talking this show at all. I love it so far and love how they’ve made these two episodes really feel like a sitcom as to really immerse us in Wanda’s world. I’m just saying that it’s probably be better if they’d had it be a binge show. Or at least put a few more episodes out at a time as to give the viewers more to digest, but without the risk of having the whole season spoiled.
There's something about the idea of her being trapped in this reality makes me think of an episode of Buffy where she goes catatonic. That would be an amazing twist if we find out that's what's happening and her mind is so powerful she can alter stuff even without being totally conscious.
@@ot7biasedmashups I didn't like Loki that much. I actually found it to be quite dull and uninspired. But I was never a fan of the character so that might have affected my enjoyment of it.
@@kylebradley5668 exactly, i really like how the credits are long bc it shows how much effort has been put into the show. everyone involved deserves recognition, so asking people to be cut out just seems rude and a bit ungrateful to me
My youngest is a Marvel fan, but his first reaction was to say "I don't get it" and he got bored fast. I think once it's revealed what's happening, he'll be on board. But it's a slow burn, which I really like. I'm into the atmosphere, and I'm loving the retro vibe.
I think it might get an audience that aren't necessarily Marvel fans. Like my sister is not a Marvel fan, but she's intrigued by this, as well as Loki.
Episode 2 opening theme is I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched opener. Episode 1 is a mix of I Love Lucy, Dick Van Dyke Show and Bewitched. The house is nothing like I Dream of Jeannie - other than a broad 1960s decor.
When Mrs. Hart was telling her husband to "stop it", she turned to Wanda repeating the same "stop it" and she was almost begging. I think Mr. Hart's character was meant to be the eccentric and nosy guy who liked to ask about other's personal life, but unfortunately triggered Wanda emotionally once she realized she couldn't answer the questions. As Wanda became anxious, Mr. Hart's character became persistent and I like to think Wanda was the one who subconsciously made him choke on his food.
Please do a reaction to the erik voss new rockstars breakdown when he releases it eventually. There are SO MANY little details I cannot believe how they put all of that into such short episodes. Even some of the goddamn jokes are references to past MCU moments.
the toaster commercial in the first episode was a reference to wanda's story of the stark bomb next to she and her brother that never went off (like the toaster that beeped like a bomb then stopped)
I think the commercial reflected her trauma from the Stark bomb in her face which didn't go off, and I think she mentions Vision can "move at the speed of sound" because she's remembering her brother. It's so interesting
Mark 9:35. Yay! Thanks for letting us hear the door knocker line! Until now, I didn't know that she actually spoke then. It is funnier with dialogue! 😊☺👍🖖

That Stark-Toaster in this Commercial Thing was the Original AI of Vision and the Computer Jarvis was based on
I love this show so much already. Wanda and Vision are so cute. It was very funny. Looking forward for the rest of the season.
I think it's cool that it started ticking to explode with the stark industry tag
Never saw Elizabeth Olsen on screen for such an extended period of time and damn she fine
Not going to lie, I was "okay" with the show after seeing it the first time but It's crazy how much you catch watching the second time through. I'm so into it now!
I think it’s ok right now but I think it could be better as it goes on I think once everything is out and I rewatch everything it will get better for me
@@purplenimbus5262 what do you guys think of the show now 😏
I believe the B&W episodes Dick Van Dyke was the man who helped not just get the feel of living in the 50s with sitcoms but also help direct the actors move and feel of how it’s like to be in a 50s/60s show
I’d believe that.
They spoke with Dick Van Dyke but he didn't direct or assistant direct. He just consulted.
The decor of the living room and kitchen is straight out of The Dick Van Dyke Show. I've watched enough episodes to know, lol.
@@jenniferashley9794 That was the first thing I noticed in episode 1! and I like the Bewitched inspiration in episode 2
@@jenniferashley9794 yeah it is.
Everyone is talking about the toaster, but no one is talking about Vision using the meat tenderizer like how he used Mjolnir
Katherine Hahn's character said "snap" referring to Thanos' snap in infinty war
Christoffe Beck actually won an Emmy for his scored on Buffy.
Am I the only one that turned the “tongue tied” comment dirty?
Oh Vis, after all this time? Oh no. That had hot sauce on it in the script, never mind the interpretation.
There's something about the idea of her being trapped in this reality makes me think of an episode of Buffy where she goes catatonic. That would be an amazing twist if we find out that's what's happening and her mind is so powerful she can alter stuff even without being totally conscious.
The premiere was so delightful and intriguing. Calling it now: this show is gonna be the best Marvel content of the year.
And then Loki happened 😂
@@ot7biasedmashups I didn't like Loki that much. I actually found it to be quite dull and uninspired. But I was never a fan of the character so that might have affected my enjoyment of it.
And then Nwh happened
@@dessindenfer1253 I loved it but I still prefer Wanda.
@@MatiZ815 that's prejudice speaking. Loki was a great show.
"You know what I miss? I miss when Wanda's powers were more mundane. Back when she didn't alter reality, she just caused vague bad luck."
“I might die.” 😂😂 Aw.
It was the chocolate covered strawberry that he was choking on, I think Wanda did it
You're the ONLY reaction channel that understands that this show is all about the waiting game. Waiting to see the bigger picture
I just wish there wasn't like 6+ minutes of credits, but other then that it's an interesting show.
True but a lot of people do help on the show like the costumes, set produces, writing, etc.
@@littlesparrow303 I would understand if it is for a movie, but it's a bit excessive for a TV show.
@@nobblkpraetorian5623 That's true but the last few minutes are credits for the other languages I think
@@nobblkpraetorian5623 people are getting well-deserved credit and recognition for their hard work, what kind of take is this??
@@kylebradley5668 exactly, i really like how the credits are long bc it shows how much effort has been put into the show. everyone involved deserves recognition, so asking people to be cut out just seems rude and a bit ungrateful to me
Hiiiiii I just watched Wanda vision
Looks like the street in which Lethal Weapon was filmed. I remember the neighbours house as Murtagh's place..
I wonder about the crazy action fans who go mental in the theatres. Will they be sitting down to watch this sitcom
My youngest is a Marvel fan, but his first reaction was to say "I don't get it" and he got bored fast. I think once it's revealed what's happening, he'll be on board. But it's a slow burn, which I really like. I'm into the atmosphere, and I'm loving the retro vibe.
@@ThatBillmanGuy I’m 14 and I absolutely loved both episodes so I think it just depends on if you just expect action and explosions all the time
@@ThatBillmanGuy and don’t appreciate the smaller Easter eggs and acting/writing
I think it might get an audience that aren't necessarily Marvel fans. Like my sister is not a Marvel fan, but she's intrigued by this, as well as Loki.
I’m bloody loving this show already. I want more! ❤️🌹
It’s giving me “I Dream Of Jeannie” vibes
I got more Bewitched than I Dream of Jennie
@@aje8790 for me it’s the theme song that reminded me of Jeannie in the second episode
@@MrMrthebubble The theme was very much like it. I’m talking about the house and tone of the episode
Episode 2 opening theme is I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched opener.
Episode 1 is a mix of I Love Lucy, Dick Van Dyke Show and Bewitched.
The house is nothing like I Dream of Jeannie - other than a broad 1960s decor.
@@dygz exactly. The house is almost exactly like Bewitched except the stairway is completely straight
This show is golden. It's chock full of MCU and comic references, all wrapped in a 1950s/1960s sitcom...I love WandaVision.
Please do a reaction to the erik voss new rockstars breakdown when he releases it eventually. There are SO MANY little details I cannot believe how they put all of that into such short episodes. Even some of the goddamn jokes are references to past MCU moments.
It was my third time of rewatching (two by myself and one here with you), and the jokes still crack me.
I love you guys so much! Thanks for existing!
Just binge watched all four episodes. I really like the show so far. It's great.
+The Reel Rejects I AM ALREADY IN LOVE WITH THIS SHOW!!! The acting! The aesthetics/shots/colors/props/lighting/etc, THE EFFECTS!
After 565 days MCU is back baby 😍🔥
It's only been a couple of months. Jeez.
@@jackdubz4247 what piece of mcu media came out a couple months ago?
the toaster commercial in the first episode was a reference to wanda's story of the stark bomb next to she and her brother that never went off (like the toaster that beeped like a bomb then stopped)
