  • This video will show you how to tie a Slab Crappie Hyperactive Minnow. As its name suggests, it is hard to keep this fly still.
    Just like some of my flies, it is very simple and easy to tie. Only 6 materials(except glues) are needed to tie this, including a hook.
    Depending on how deep and how fast you retrieve a fly, it is up to you to choose how much weight you put on this fly.
    Enjoy!

    I wished my kiddos and I could use some of your awesome baits. I have three kiddos and they love to fish but a while back all of there fishing stuff alone with mine got stolen. I wished I was as awesome and as talented as you are making baits my kiddos would never want for any baits but I'm not and they don't have much. Sir you are a true artist keep it up and keep sharing thanks for all you do. Till next's trip GodBless and Tight Lines.

    I saw a trout minnow fly tied with eggstacy chenille awhile back. This pattern would probably be good with eggstacy as well.

    Should use a thread burner (zapper) instead of a lighter,can get a lot more precise with it.

    Dude, great tie! Fellow Arkansan myself. Question - do you you use a sink tip or sinking line for crappie?

    • @arkansasfishingadventures777
      @arkansasfishingadventures777  4 года назад +1

      It depends on where fish are. I usually use floating line and sink tip line. Thanks for watching!

    What kind of foam is that you’re using? Does it have a smooth surface?

    • @arkansasfishingadventures777
      @arkansasfishingadventures777  4 года назад +1

      I bought these foam sheets from a local Wal-Mart. It’s just plain craft foam sheets. Thanks for watching!

    • @arkansasfishingadventures777
      @arkansasfishingadventures777  5 лет назад +1

      A piece of 3/4" long x 3/8" wide and fold that over in half. I used 2 mm foam sheet in this video. Thanks for watching!

    how does that fly ride in the water ? it's weighted and.....has foam . so does it sink or float more ? how do you fish it ? I tie flies so always trying new things myself , I have some worm flies similar to these but longer with a weighted head and a foam tail .....so I gig it on the bottom as the tip of tail floats up and shakes.... and the head of fly is down ....ok thanks for the tie 👍😁

    • @arkansasfishingadventures777
      @arkansasfishingadventures777  5 лет назад +1

      You can change the amount of the weight or even no weight if you want to fish on the surface. If you follow exactly the way I tied in this video, these flies sink pretty fast. If you strip and pause these flies, you'll see life-like movements in the water. Thanks for watching!
