I'm exploring in China with Edwin and in this episode we venture inside the most amazing abandoned theme park in the world, joined by Charles. This theme park wanted to compete against Disney, but got bankrupt only a few years after opening.

❤What An Epic Episode,Absolutely Loved The Rides,Gift Shop, Theatre Shame To See It Abandoned Great Video Bob😊🦕
I'll never understand how places just get walked away from, like they basically just said, "this is the last day we're operating," so nobody showed up the next day, and they never showed up ever again, leaving EVERYTHING behind. Like if that was the plan, give everything away for free in the last few days until it's all gone.
That's how bankruptcy works. The bank suddenly says "that's it" unless you seek protection from the court beforehand. Giving away stuff would be committing fraud against the creditors.
It happens a lot in Asia! I once spoke to a theme park owners and asked why he did not sell the items and furniture. He simply said: 'The theme park has to die a natural death.'
@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath dang, what an answer. I guess you just let the ship go down as it is.
@@clempocap but why would it be fraud if they're just going to let it sit there to decay anyway?
Most of these rides are Chinese knockoffs that are poorly built and fall apart within a number of years
The interesting thing for me, is that I'd have had no interest in going to that theme park when it was open but NOW, I'd LOVE to explore it!
Yes, they are way more fun to explore :D
Would love to see pictures/video of this when it was open!
There’s a few videos of the rides and commercials for the park on RUclips just type in FantaWild theme park and they should pop up 😁
Love your videos. But sometimes I just get sad. Looks like it was a nice park. So much invested. Time, money, resources. Open for such a short time. Now it seems to have gone so far that nothing or little can be saved. At least it hasn't been vandalized
It happens everywhere unfortunately and sometimes you can feel the sadness of the place.
It's a rip off of Disney land it was always going to fail
Abandoned amusement parks are always so neat to see🎠🎡🎢 Thank you for sharing Bob!!
Yes! I love them too. This one was really wild 👌.
@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath Glad you got to explore there!
I was watching this and I thought it looked familiar and I realized I had been there! It’s Splendid World Fantasy Land / 民生大千世界梦幻乐园 in Chaisang, Jiujiang, Jiangxi. We visited in May of 2017 and I didn’t even know it had closed.
Per the 2020 statistics, 70% theme parks in China were operating in deficit. 20% managed to break even, and 10% profitable. This statistics does not account for COVID.
Crazy figures, I hear a lot about the real estate sector problems but this is new for me.
Thanks for the info. Pretty crazy actually 👀
@@Xinaha I am just saying the theme park market in China has been saturated.
Kids in China are not easy to be fooled by the theme, not interest. 😅
The dinosaurs are really breathtaking. Thanks for the visit :)
Thank YOU for watching 🙏 Gotta love the dinosaurs indeed 🦖
Another outstanding video, you would have like trying to get into Six Flags New Orleans. They have extremely tight security from what's on internet. Be safe and thank you again for your videos
The sites you have been exploring just keep getting better and better! I'm looking forward to watching this one several times as abandoned theme parks are my favourite places to see!!! Thank you Bob
Thanks! Got a few more coming up for later. Next up are a cruise ship, aircraft carrier and such :)
@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath You spoil us mate!
@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPathif u come to Malaysia to explore some places that have been ghosted please pick me to follow u it'll be my dream
This is so sad to see such a beautiful amazing park. A lot of money was put into it and what a big lost. It's so sicking.
Share the same feelings, when seeing these abandoned, but still beautiful parks. As you said all the money, all the material, all the efforts and work put into these places is in vain. Sometimes I think, why doesn't anyone try to save some of the things (e.g. some of the statues), that would be more or less "transportable". Assume, this wouldn't be profitable and it cheaper to let it rot 😢
Amazing how chill China seems to be about urban exploring. Even places that have security basically don't seem to care as long as you aren't actively climbing anything that might be unstable (the one time I've heard of someone getting caught in China security said "cool, just stay off the waterslides as they're unstable"), as opposed to America where cops are desperate to get some action movie type action and will crack sculls over something like this.
The thing is, in America, if you trespass and get hurt, you can sue. Burglars have sued and won for getting hurt in people's homes.
Wow! The first china park I've seen that didn't just phone it home. This looks genuinely engaging and fun with great theming.
This place was bought after six flags ended their lease with New Orleans and salvaged some of the rides to put in other six flags parks and now the owner wants to turn it into a place called bayou phoenix, some kind of super sized land of homes, golf course, and hotel with some other stuff
The wildlife sounds really add to the entire vibe ! Great explore!
Yeah !!! I agree!!
not sure how you are finding all these neat explorations but i'm really glad you keep finding them. thank you!!👍👍👍
Thanks Matt ! Next week we pioneer inside a cruise ship🚢 An adventure which took a lot of effort😁 PS: Thanks a lot for the book order👊
Great vid, thanks for putting out another one so soon. Amazing how fast nature takes back over.
Hope all is well with your family.
Wow. The receipts in the burger place. It’s wild how it really looks like everything was normal and one day they just never came back.
People are often uneasy about the cultural misunderstanding you see in China, like representations of Western art, architecture and culture, but then when they do build such places in the West they are often just as blunt and unaware of the lack of nuance that makes it unsettling to begin with.
Businesses think that people are made of money. They overcharge themselves right out of business.
Bankruptcy, before it got started??
Crazy how much decay has happened in only a few short years… Great episode guys!
Properly gobsmacked by this exploration, Bob and team your the Indiana Jones of Urbex.I always think there is a certain melancholy about these theme parks once full of fun and excitement now left to rot,so sad.👍👍
Thanks mate! Glad you liked it :) These months I upload some of the coolest explorations of the past year.
I was patiently waiting for your next video and as always, you did not disappoint Bob! Great find and video 👍
Million worth of rides, just left to rot. So sad. You would think the banks would have auctioned off the equipment. The Vekoma suspended looping coaster is worth its weight in scrap metal but thats about it.
I don't believe that is even a real SLC - a few Chinese companies built knock-off versions (you would think they would knock off something decent like a B&M invert instead) and RCDB seems to confirm my suspicions
this is absolutely crazy looking!
21:28 that is so cool! It’s the little things to draw you to some of the most epic discoveries!
Great explore! Thanks, once again, Bob!
You know your in china when you see massive copyright violations and IP theft everywhere😂
Yes😂
Real great one Bob, I love the abandoned theme parks more than most explores :)
If Wish or Temu sold Disney tickets, they would be to this park.
😂
This place looks awesome really a shame, would love to see it in an open state.
Awesome explore! So nice to see all this stuff.
the goat plush was actually really cute 🥺
If you want another amazing abandoned park to explore in China I recommend Hotgo Dreamland, giant abandoned B&M hyper and wing coaster
Thanks for the tip! I have a bunch of them, but it’s a vast country😄😅
The one thing I find most striking is the total lack of spray paint can graffiti and wanton vandalism? Why do you think this is?
Security ! This Sunday I upload another episode of a massive theme park without any security. There you see signs of vandalism/graffiti
I can’t stop watching these videos man this is awesome
That place is amazing! What a great video. It sort-of kind-of reminds me of some of the abandoned places in Last of Us Part II.
Thanks a lot for checking out😇 Still have to check the series! My Fukushima series is also very post-apocalyptic😶
2014, what a waste of capital and space. Very sad.
Yup.. you see such things a lot😔
How cool!!! I would have explored the small buildings and the hotel skyscrapers too.
Time is precious in China! I explored by example an aircraft carrier and former secret military underground train workshop and more..(you can find it on my channel) if you see these episodes you’ll understand 🙏☺️ thanks for checking out
I feel like there are a lot of Disneyland Clones in China. You would’ve thought they’d give up once Shanghai Disneyland and Hong Kong Disneyland opened
I guess it was an economical bubble which already burst.💥
Kids need to stay home for their unfinish homework, no allow to play. 🙃
Newly found channel now a favourite. So many laughs and you have so much fun just being yourselves. Stay safe and travel well ❤
Jurassic park vibes with the mountains in the background and over grown foliage
Thanks for checking!😎🙏
I love urban exploring, and i would love to see this place myself! Crazy it wasn't looted... so much stuff still there, it would've already been destroyed if it was in Europe
America too
Might be tight with security watching over it at the time
It amazes me that something like this that had so much time/effort/money put into it would just be left to rot.
It’s pretty crazy yes! And this is just one of the many😮
Omg the Theme Park Episodes are my favorite. Big thank you all for showing this amazing views
What an amazing place-So sad it just stands there all abandoned...
It's insane that it's all still standing after all these years so surreal to see the rides all dusty and moldy you guys are awesome 😊 the engineering of those buildings are impressive
its not even old, what do you mean?
Well, that's the thing. After what 'all these years'? The place is around a decade old and it's already abandoned. That's what's so surreal about it. We're not looking at a place that's been standing empty for 20-30 years, we're looking at somewhere that opened less than ten years ago and therefore operated for less than that! It didn't close less than ten years ago, it freaking OPENED less than ten years ago!
Man this place is of Epic proportion like Hans Island...........nothing in the states like this and 1100 square feet WOAH!!!! The architecture reigns supreme I mean from the facades to the mine train and haunted mansion it just sucks that it sits there rotting in the sun It reminds me of the old Santas Village in Scotts Valley California when it was abandoned in 1979 and the stuff sat there until at least 1995 or later even............
We had a Santa's Village, here in the San Bernardino mountains. Closed in 98. Reopened as Sky Park at Santa's Village, with none of the original rides
@@jimmykinderman1739 yup I been up there on the 18 freeway off the 210.......The Scotts valley location was built by the same Man Holland but after the Sky Park location with same layout not far from Santa Cruz and on the 17 freeway . Im so glad the Sky Park location still exists
Native Californian. Loved Santas Village as a child
That was cool. I could see if there was a chance of them re-opening then yeah have security, If no chance of re-opening then no security. Makes no sense.
Imagine all the Fake bones and splatters were real and they never knew.
I just don't understand how someone could just leave this here. Tons of money was put into this and they just left it here without a fight.
Because they are idiots, who tried to make an rip-off and make some fast cash, but the mistakes they have done before, can't be undone, so they would only loose more money.
I know what I am talking about, since I was involved for some time with one chinese company who promised to the local government to build an Amusement park and get the license from one of german amusement parks. These idiots built first the place, did not even contact that german company because they were so overconfident that is a sure deal, and 2 years later bailed out, because they could not meet the requirements of the germans.
Now, another company took that over, and they are desperately trying to get that license, but the cash they prepared to pay for it is just a joke, so they plan B now is, too operate it with their own Brand :D.
No need to be an oracul to predict how it will end for them in the end.
now i want to visit this park and take photos
Thanks Bob, for having this old lady along! 😊😊
Never to old to go on an adventure!
Awesome
Hi Bob this place look so sick I wish I could come here 😊
Incredible spot, I love all things abandoned but theme parks are my fav. Great job. 😁😁
That green bird reminds me a bit of the Orange birds at disney world. Except better, and green. I want the plushie though.
Yeah cute! Wish I could take one too haha
@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath yeah. I appreciate the responsible explorers that leave things as they are. Too many take thinks or mess around with the place. I'd suggest maybe you could've found the green bird elsewhere, maybe someone who went when the place was open was selling theirs on eBay, but no, I already looked. Lol.
it must be fun looking around this park and I want to know why there are security if the park abandoned?
As always, a plessure to watch. :)
Thanks for checking
You’re absolutely right. I guess I just had the audio on, in case they gave some background info on what the place was like when it was fully functional. Guess not.
There's not much info to be found
@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPathwould have been awesome to tell us, shame you couldn't

What a nice Park ......so sad 😢

我建議你們應該到台灣的碧潭樂園-新店地區的山上,是猛鬼樂園傳說很多,還有台中地區的卡多里樂園
We have those ''stubby tubby'' trees here in Aussieland, they are called Adansonia Gregorii, commonly known as the Boab. Groette van Aussieland.
Super gaaf video, wat een vet thema park ❤
Bedankt! Vandaag een cruise schip in…. Nederland😂
Gotta hand it to China on this one, looks really awesome.
This was an epic episode 👌🏼😎
Another awesome mission... Videography at its finest. Cheers from ger
Great video guys loved it but as i said a waste especially that nine dragons ride imagine all the work that went into making that!!
this was a really nice one :) too bad you didn't went into the buildings.
O we did, but only showed the interesting ones :)
Love the channel
Thanks, appreciated! Seen the aircraft carrier episode already?✌️😎
@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath yes that was my first one I’m your newest subscriber
Alguém sabe o nome desse parque?
It’s certainly well done.
Awesome video guys! I’m so curious as to why one of the dinosaurs is a little bit destroyed and the others are still complete. Seems like such a mystery what happened for so many years when no one was there!
No idea either.. perhaps it was the worst constructed, because it’s all natural decay
This park closed in 2018. The reason why it already looks so dilapidated is because China cant build stuff that lasts. Google what tofu dreg projects are.
@@Werwolf2k11so true , the park looks like it's been closed for 20 years
8:48 It's called a Teufelsrad. The Devil's Wheel. Oktoberfest is the shit.
Damn this is huge, beautifully overgrown. Thanks for sharing
$25 ticket price is expensive over there. Wow had no idea. Shit you pay 100s/1000s to goto disney world in Florida
Snake snake snake !!! Causally chases cobra 😂
Just gotta see it😂
Venomous...😂
Cool 😎
Whats the name of this park?
I cant believe they just leave these parks sitting there! Its crazy!
I’ve been searching for a good hour .clue the yellow coaster he says is sky dragon .google that
If you want to find out what the park is called, just take a photo of the castle with Google lens. It will tell you everything you need.
It's named Splendid World Fantasy Land. And it's located in Chaisang.
@@OGPUEE thx for saying the district i just looked for it like 10 minutes on Google maps starting to think they like destroyed it maybe but its still there i guess and its huge😢
So it was sort of like a theme park 'bubble'. The market was so over saturated with these sort of places just popping up everywhere that the customer base was overwhelmed with options and thus eventually...pop.
Yes.. same happened in Japan in the 90s
This is crazy! They had the right idea, everything u want in a theme park is here!! How is it a business is run so poorly as this shuts down!! There must have been thousands of unhappy children!? 😮😮😮😮
It’s crazy indeed. Too many theme parks have been built, but many children will be sad😔
Location wise, this park was hard to reach. And the park depended too much on ticket sales to maintain profit. It neglected ways to develop auxillary revenue, ie. hotels.
Coolbeens really good vid
