I'm exploring in China and in this episode I meet Andy and Charles. We are the first urban explorers to venture in this abandoned theme park, named Canal Paradise. It turns out we are really lucky with this one. Check the episode to find out !

1 year ? this looks definitely 5 years closed....
Yeah. There is an explanation, at about half way, that says it initially closed in 2019 and then reopened in 2021 but it wasn’t the full park.
Wow, how bizarre that the next day the entire park is bustling with activity! :O
Lucky for once! Normally it's the other way round!
Looks like it was closed for much longer than that, wow.

With some quick online research, I found that it was shuttered in 2019.

3:42 "It is the biggest theme park in north part of Jiangsu Province" That tells something. Unlike the southern Jiangsu Province, which is rich and heavily industrialized. Northern Jiangsu Province is extremely poor. The prospect of the theme park is not great at the very beginning.
The bottom line: there are certainly places I would not put my money in, Northern Jiangsu Province is on my no-go list.
Had they operated with a lower ticket price but more visitor volume do you think the park would have been successful?
@@telmnstr no. It is a centuries-old social-economic problem over there. People from the rich southern Jiangsu or Shanghai area don't want to go there, nor locals can afford the tickets at the price to break even.
@@telmnstr Also, it is good to mention that the business model of indigenous theme parks in China gets over 70% of its revenue from ticket sale. For Disneyland, the number is 40%.
Bob ! 🙏🏻 Thanks again for the great exploration footage and journeys!
Hi Bob! great to see another adventure
Geweldige video weer Bob! echt van genoten.
Amazing find, great video. Crazy you got there a day before all the work started too. Well done Bob and the team 👏
Another outstanding video Bob!
Not sure why I always feel a bit sad when I watch these adventures, even though I have never traveled here previously 🧐 ~ I’m just a soft hearted person! Thank you for sharing!
Some of these places even get me sad! Sometimes it's a shattered dream of somebody. In this case, I think people wanted to earn money fast and ride along on the 'theme park bubble'.
It's like I'm feeling a loss for this area, grieving of sorts ~ but I've never been there. It's like I'm looking for a past that was thriving but now has been laid to rest. Thank you for showing us these places ❤
Great vid Bob. Incredible to see a park of this size in such poor condition. Really shoddy construction. Loved the Ghost House :)
Amazing find!Thanks for sharing!
Awesome Explore! Thanks for sharing!
11:46 The girls on that artwork are from a game called "M.A.T" or "Mission Against Terror" which was a free to play FPS shooter released back in 2010. While a few versions have gone offline permanently it can still be played today and some tournaments are even held.
Keep the theme park videos coming 😎👍🏻
Another amazing video, thank you for sharing and taking such risks in places like China to explore!
Thanks for checking !
In the States I think I will have a bigger problem for a location like this :)
Интересный и масштабный тематический парк👍 Жаль, что заброшен...
Another great video can’t wait for the next one and any chance of uploading in 4K please
This is an insane find!
Great one, what a nice spot
Amazing place.
Very cool 👍 thanks bob & friends
Thanks again ! 🙏
The tunnel @ 6:34 would spin around you, but the floor never moved. It was an optical illusion, it makes most people stumble a little bit.
all i have to say is just *WOW*
There is a sadness about these places,it kinda hurts you know ? But Great timing on the explore :)
Perfect timing!
Yes! Usually I have the bad luck of arriving 1 day too late...
Yes Bob very bizarre about all the workers and this must be the definition of perfect timing I think... So hats off to you all for this great explore for sure.
I have always been looked on as a weird person because of my similar drive to explore abandoned places, because of this I've never been able to enjoy any places but your videos give me what I need so thank you
In the past 15 years it became pretty popular! Just go! It’s never too late 😇
@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath trust me, youve inspired one more person
abandoned ones are really interesting, it's fun to explore such places

Hello my friend nice like done 👍👌❤️❤️❤️
i always wonder if its possible to power up some ride haha. Or if there is a main building that manages the power.
I turned on a ride in Cyprus once. In China some parks still had power, but was not in the mood for trouble😅😁
Prime example of tofuu dreg, and why I would never get on any tourist attraction in China, especially the ones that are high off the ground. They decay and fail so quickly, because they are manufactured and built so poorly, tofu dreg.
One year? I'm surprised that it wasn't worse foe it doesn't take long for nature to reclaim what was theirs. Nice video not sure how they got away with all the trade marked items ( Homer, Snoopy and everything else). Thank you again
I wish you to make a vlog with you one day
I’m glad you’re able to show more of this place than Exploring with Josh, he apparently had too much of an issue with security.
That’s another park, (I posted in 2023) I was here too.. Didn’t get caught: ruclips.net/video/24czUiVql6c/видео.htmlsi=2wKwI_A5hnaAJnNL
Amazing explore guys, very cool place. What are the local laws like regarding “trespassing”? (as most authorities deem it), i don’t know much about the country but from things you hear it seems they might take quite a hard line on such things?.. (perhaps you are more comfortable with the risks after such a career), you’re braver than me either way! 😉.. keep the great content coming!
its a highly corrupt country. You can just pay them off.
All over the world it depends a lot who you meet and what their mood is! 😄 I got in big trouble for the least worrying abandonments in the past! In China they do have a new espionage law, so you have to be careful what kind of places to explore. for @fordblue. This is not the case.
In northern Jiangsu Province, they care less.
@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath thanks for the reply!… you certainly have one of the best if not the best exploration channels out there, some truly epic adventures, stay safe and keep up the amazing work!
@@petershen6924 thank you Peter, interesting to hear that there is differences, sounds like a good region to explore! 👍🏻
Dragu fab I believe is what that’s called.
Refreshing to see the absence of grafitti/tags in this place
I think i looks abandonded like that because they haven't done any upkeep to the place for a lot of years before closure. reminds me of this one theme park in belgium that's still open but last time i went there it was giving off similar vibes to this.
Bobbejaanland?😁😂
@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath yep
@@nintendoboy1001 Bobbejaanaland is finally slowly renovating the park, they just did an amazing refurbishment on revolution. They also got a new coaster a couple years ago with Fury.
@@ThoosieJP That's great to hear tbh. I used to go when I was a kid before it got sold to new owner that let it kind of delapidate. was really sad to see. hope they manage to turn it around

It will take so much money to bring this place back to life again . I wonder if it will be worth it ....
Tofu construction.
The theme park with some confused themes, no surprise why it was abandoned. The ghost house really was terrible. Shame to see all that infrastructure go to waste, hopefully it can be improved and reopened
26:03 - This is not correct! This is not a Huss but an SBL (Beijing SBL Amusement Equipment Co.,Ltd). Almost all attractions in Canal Paradise are from SBL. This company is quite famous for its copies of European attraction builders. So you can see that Roaring Dragon is a Vekoma SLC copy. Spinning Coaster is a Reverchon copy. Next to this Giant Frisbee is a Vekoma Waikiki Wave copy. You also saw a Splashbattle copy by Preston Barbieri. The Shot towers are a copy of S&S.
Thanks for the info! I saw plates from SBL indeed (And another Chinese company) The HUSS was written in an article.. which apparently wasn't correct :')
@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath No problem! The images you have made are fantastic, there is relatively little information about this park on the internet and the attractions placed by SBL in this park were also fairly unclear until recently.
Do they say why it was abandoned ? Seems a massive waste of money.
hallo Bob een leuk prak kleine kinderen en grote kinderen nog gelukkig voor mensen opruimen wijs film en drone
How can it be so run down in just one year?
Lack of maintanance. Climate. Vandalism.
I would guess closed since Covid.
in which city is this?
Very big and interesting too see what they have but is build poorly and the paint job is terrible it costs a couple o hundred thousand too maintain it at a minimum lvl. Finally no security lol.
Was fun to walk around without worrying TOO much :)
I'd love to rescue those Simpsons statues. 😥
Would be amazing to have yes!
Impressively huge and the extensive wear shows poor or no maintenance for several years. It is a pity to temsin like this, hopefully the new ownycould do s proper refurbishment. Thanks
You should explore the millions of new electric bikes and car graveyards they have made.
👍👍👍😎☕
It looks like it was abandoned 20 years ago or more.
"canals of the world", bit of a weird theme for a park, I mean what do robots have to do with canals. 🤔🤔
👏🏻🇮🇹
Thanks! Hope to explore in Italy soon again😁🙏
At least there no junkies and bums there
FIRST COMMENT ! ! ! OH YEAH ! ! !
I’ll buy this property and sell everything for scrap😂
Hello from America 🇺🇸 my beautiful friend, thought China would have more respectful people and not vandalized like America sorry to say, it's a shame being closed even with less prices to enter like these theme parks thanks ❤😊
They are very respectful! It's still not bad. In the USA it would have looked like worse in 1 week! And for the prices... 25$ is a lot for the average person. The salaries in the US are crazy high ;)
Why does China have so many abandon theme parks. This is so awful.
Imagine how empty China and Japan are going to be in 30 years with literally tens of millions less living people in the compared to the turn of the century when many of these places were built
Its a weird themepark theme.
Daar zijn ze dus veel geld mee verloren😂Ja zulke grote parken kosten veel geld om draaiend te houden.
Can i join?
Great video! But i believe The Proper People actually visited this place a few years ago aswell
That’s another theme park. I have been here too. I uploaded 3 other theme parks😁
@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath oh. Thats funny, to me this park looked quite familiar🙈 and you have?! That's so cool! I've always had a soft spot for abandoned theme parks specifically. Il definitely check them out.
Imagine it at night 😈
8:02 that is Persian Sphinx, not Egyptian.
In the world "canal", the 2nd a is annunciated, not the first like you're doing here. "CanAL", not "cAnal". It sounds like you're saying "channel" without the this video
2019 it closed not a year ago
Reopened again in 2021 as I say in the episode under another name😬
是不是万达搞得?😂
Probably couldn’t compete with Chinese Disney parks.
Sorry to say you're not the first RUclipsr be there exploring with Josh was only 2 weeks ago just seen the video
Hahahaha.... this guy copied ME !!!! He saw my episodes and immediately went:
This is the park you are talking about: ruclips.net/video/24czUiVql6c/видео.html
And the Mall he went to :ruclips.net/video/9j8Us9AlMpc/видео.html
AAAAND the movie set: ruclips.net/video/3fALpFd37P0/видео.html
The only difference is that he got caught in every place he went to and I never got caught.
Only one year closed and looks like this? Who knows how it looked the last years open … maybe it was already really broken back then and that’s also why so little people visited, I mean, the park was only open for 9 years …
And to have to pay extra for something like that ghost house, which looked like a warehouse with Halloween decoration, is beyond insolent.
Also I think half of the rides looked really lame and the theming was kinda bad… and the mix of some famous characters like moonins, Simpsons, hello kitty, Disney figures, peppa pig etc also doesn’t fit and looks cheap …
I understand why it got bankrupt… sad, you could have really for something with it with better theming and without extra entry prizes …
that is waht i am looking fooooor
Very soft ride, this one…for a change.
I mean…compared to Ukraine….😅
It was built in 2013 and it’s already abandoned wtf
It was only open six years crazy enough. 2013 to 2019.
Let's be honest. This park was a way of washing money. Clearly key officials got paid very well to approve this and keep it open for a while. Enough time for the 'owners' to get their cash and get out of China. I am also 99.99% sure the park never paid License Fees for using any of the character images or well known themes it ripped off. As if Disney (as an example) would have ever agreed to be part of this sham. Classic case of Chinese excess with no real thought or care if it ever succeeded. Once the money was cleaned, on to the next useless project in the backwoods of China.
It’s CA NAL not can al
I’m not a native bro🥺
Yep this is how real chinese buildings are built, they fall apart after just one year.
I want to renovate this place without demolition soo badly
I hope it will be renovated now!
There isn't no way its been closed only a year! Buildings don't fall down in one year! Paint don't completely fade of chip off like that in one year! Plastic seats on the rides are nearly faded white and that can NOT happen in one year. Someone is feeding you a line of bull crap!
Nope!
Yes it is! But probably not maintained.
I'm beginning to think Bob knows full well he isn't first to any of these locations, but says so for click bait titles.
I AM in quite some of the places though. I spend lots of time researching my own abandonments instead of copying other channels like 99% of the explorers do. In this one I was not the first person at all after it’s closure, but we were the first urban explorers. Places I went inside first are often highly guarded or tricky places for which I can get in big trouble. 😂
Why lie though? Photos of this park and the carrier have been around for a while from other explorers before you went. Yet you pretend you were the first to both. Looking through your videos it seems like a trend where you pretend you are the first person to visit them. I guess to sell more books?
@@zerokenshi Show me pictures of this theme park then ! You are probably confused with another Chinese Theme Park. I am not the first at the carrier. Some people went there before there was any security. I can send you a whole list of episodes of places nobody or no explorers were before...(And most 'new' places I keep offline.)
@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath A whole list? Go on then, this will be interesting. 😆

Wow, the park really chose to shamelessly chose to copy one of the worst designed roller coasters of all time, a Vekoma SLC. This park never had a chance.
O, that’s why all those coasters can be found in chinese abandoned theme parks😂
The guy with the painted nails saying kill them is he possibly trans is this implying something I’m definitely watching this love conspiracy style movies gets ya thinking
Have you considered adding in subtitles at times? The way you pronounce canal sounds like kennel. Like a dog kennel. It was confusing at the start when you were describing the theme park.
There are subtitles in a lot of languages! 🙏
All made, (not very well), in China, just like a lot of other stuff.
Good chance they never paid any money to use those cartoon characters, Chinese are no respecters of IP.
Keeps calling Canals Kennels...needs a bit of help with english
Not a native.. cannot speak all words correctly unfortunately 🥺(and never will)
24:12 Found Nemo.
😢😢😢😢😢😢😊
you always see the same roller coasters because they are SLCs. 🎢they are terrible to ride. that's the most annoying thing about roller coaster counting… no wonder the parks had to close 😂
thanks for the video. it turned out so well 🎉
Another amazing video. Smooth drone shots. How lucky with the timing of your visit!
