I saw someone describe the part where the lyrics kick in on Burning Men's Soul as "like having anesthesia wear off in the middle of surgery" and I can't think of a more perfect description
@MrMewCult Well, Poe's masquerade is an allusion to Edgar Allen Poe's "The Masque of the Red Death" which is set in a masquerade, which does connect itself to persona as the word persona means "mask", and since the entirety of Beneath the Mask is a metaphor for putting on a persona in public, the speaker saying that they are "at Poe's masquerade" is another assertion that they are wearing a mask (or persona, if you will), hiding their real face, at a "masquerade" which is a metaphor for life in general.
Poe himself has nothing to do with Persona, but since it is an allusion that is connected to Persona, I think it isn't fully under this category... That being said, no idea how to explain Mike, I mean that line is a reference but isn't connected to Persona

this video randomly came up on my feed and i gotta say: 1. there is an ART to bad music and i love burning men's soul just for that 2. Maybe the symbolism of the song is a vague sense of nostalgia that the artist is drawing ideas and references from? Like it’s supposed to represent the three brothers of trinity soul young, middle, and old recollecting their memories? Symbolism????? XD

TRUE! No disrespect to the new artist, but the OG is just better, plain and simple.
I liked it, but the original is still better.
Mass Destruction has issues with the instrumental mixing more than the singer's voice (especially the froggy sound)
I love it, it’s upbeat but kinda soothing still. Sounds much smoother than the old version.
@@moneycalled Really? Even below “Joy”?
“Triple brown, triple brown, triple brown yow”
Headache inducing nonsense 😭
Burning Men's Soul is unironically a banger 🔥🔥🔥
🤡🤡🤡
@@littlemissspacedout534 Listened to it too many times, cuz of how awful it is. Guess it just grew on me
"if you got time I'll drop rhyme again"
Carpet Man in Persona 6 foreshadowing???
This one is pretty bad sure, but I got one even worse
PLEASE listen to "Shadow World - DE DE MOUSE MUSIC" from Persona 4 Dancing
that one is indeed very insufferable lmao
Nah that gotta be the shadow world dedemouse remix, at least house like carpet has a pretty good instrumental
Shadow world dedemouse is a literall landfill in music form
“i don’t wanna sound like one of those kids that only listens to video game OSTs and hates rap music” 😬
Respectfully, I present Who's There?.
Personally, as far as tracks from the games themselves go, the Reload version of “Joy” actually gives me a headache 😓
Child abuse was so bad too 😭
"I'm in the house like carpet" is one of those lines that are so bad they're actually fire. The rest doesn't hold up though.
Weirdly enough, though I've never heard this song, I've heard the rap part from that same sample pack. Kinda threw me off when I heart it in the video.
I have been quoting Burning Men's Soul for about the past decade
All I hear in the dorm lobby in Persona 3 is "triple brown cow, triple brown cow."
Now imagine this poetry over the resident evil director's cut basement theme
Thank you for reminding me that Trinity Soul existed. I dropped that anime like a hot potato the moment a character seriously said "partial brain transplant" in a serious tone.
Counting what fans said you couldve put in honorable mentions:
Shadow World (DeDeMouse Remix, Persona 4 Dancing All Night)
Rivers in the Desert (Mito Remix, Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight)
Now, both the original versions of Shadow World and RITD are insanely good. The reason why some fans hate them are
Shadow World (DeDeMouse): The beat is just random piano keys pressed in a random order. You can look it up for yourself, its loterally that
Rivers in the desert (Mito):
The beat is alright. But the vocals "This time it could be my, muhmheEe3êëēęt"
Yeah they fucked them up
I know damn well it's the goofy ahhh im in the house like carpet
you guessed right!
So basically they tried pulling an iwatodai dorm, but the lyrics were applied so half assed, the half assery was half assed
_Slowly reaching for Axe in defense of "Sun" from P3P..._
...
*Slowly lowers axe.*
Only thing I can think of is “In the house like carpet” bros just like carpet in how he’s stuck in the house (hes an introvert)
time to make history.
This song is what mass destruction would be if lotus juice didn't join the production
As someone who trying to watch trinity soul and almost done with the show. It’s actually the one show that the more you watch the less you know what’s going on. It’s kinda of incredible.
It is so interesting that these lyrics NEVER make an appearance in the anime. It is only the instrumental.
I’d like to see this modded into Persona 3 Reload as the dorm song, at least this one makes me laugh
The fact that the old black and white sitcom leave it to beaver is referenced in persona is giving me a aneurism
I didn't think it was possible to dethrone that horrendous rivers in the desert remix from P5D but wow
The worst song is clearly Mass Destruction (Kobayashi Remix) from P3D 💀
2:16 lmao... This is from persona trinity ~
May I introduce you all to:
Shadow World (DE DE MOUSE shadow swing mix)
