Well having the channel hacked and terminated wasn't too fun, but back to regular videos for now! I do still have one coming in regards to the whole situation and how it happened. For now, who's using the iPhone SE? How's it working for you, do you think it's still worth it?
To me the SE 3 is an excellent value in 2023. It's a phone that will last for years and works incredibly well. I personally love the entire SE series and enjoy them for the value as well as the nostalgia. It isn't perfect but I feel like for the average person wanting to get into the Apple ecosystem it's easily the best way to do that.
I’ve been staying strong with my 2nd gen iPhone SE until yesterday when my brand new blue iPhone 14 arrived in the mail! It’s my first flagship phone and it’s taking a bit of getting used to but I’m loving it so far. The size difference is the biggest thing to get used to, my hands are small and the iPhone 14 is huge to me! I do somewhat miss my budget phone though, it served me well.
Apple should release one last home button iPhone. Give us an SE in the iPhone 8 Plus body with an A15, 5 core GPU, or an A16 and 6gb of ram. I know it's a pipe dream, but it'd be awesome.
Or they could listen to their customers and just make them with home buttons. No reason to make upgrades that are not really upgrades just to convince people to buy new phones. Oh yeah, stockholders. That and using up the landfills.
High end android phones still better apple doesn't even have 120hz refresh rate for gaming lmao or a 5000mah battery or 8gb ram or even 12gb ram like my OnePlus 9 has
@@tubztergaming5700 yes it’s way faster and has slightly better battery, along with better cellular data. It also has a better “digital home button” that uses the haptic feedback
It’s unfortunate that the iPhone SE formula no longer works for Apple anymore. 2020 was the last time that people actually cared about the iPhone SE, once 2022 came around, people were already prepared to move on from the aging design including Apple themselves. this is a great phone, overall the iPhone SE is a great phone, I’m so sad to see it go.
I agree with both arguments, I do think it’s time to move on from this design, but at the same time having the home button and touch ID is still so iconic. some people especially elders aren’t ready to move on from the home button yet.
Apple never had a lineup as bad as the current one, it is very confusing and each time the iPhones are practically the same as the previous version, the catalog they launched in 2020 with the iPhone 11 at 599 and the SE at 399 was perfect. Apple should have left the iPhone 12 mini at 499 and the SE at 399.
To me the iPhone SE should be 250- 300 dollars and I agree the iPhone lineup this year is horrible and the iPhone 12 should be at 450$ instead 599 which I find horrendous
The SE being 449 was a terrible decision. They should’ve kept it at 399 like you said, and possibly even lowered it to 349. I get that it has an amazing, flagship chipset, but the rest of the phone is not worth 449.
SE is meant to be for people who are not feature focused. For example I don't need an awesome camera, I don't care about new design... So I'll happily pay half the price of the premium phone, especially considering the software is newer... The design of the iphone 8with the chip of the 13 and the camera isn't optimal...? Suits me perfectly 🙂

For pictures, I use Film and also Digital Nikon cameras with at least 36 Mega Pixels. I assure you there is no iPhone that can compete with the extreme quality of these Nikons.
I think it’s be a great phone if it went on sale. My carrier has never marked it down. I got my 13 for $10 a month for two years and it doubled my monthly data. The se3 hasn’t gone below $24 a month the entire time. I honestly would’ve preferred the se3, but not to pay 2.5x the price for half the storage 😢
Hi Josh! Loved the video as always, there's something so charming about the old-era iPhones that I can't put my finger on. I have an SE1 that I use as an "around the house" phone so that my 12 mini can be at 100% when I am ready to go out. One interesting use case that yourself and many reviewers neglect to mention is that these phones exist to fill a price point for corporations. It's pretty common now for smaller businesses to use SE models as company phones, point of sale terminals, etc. I know that there are valets that use them as portable ticketing terminals, and I'm sure that many other jobs need a portable terminal to use their point of sale, ticketing, or other software. I use an SE3 on a semi-regular basis at my job, and we have a bin full of old 4S, 5S, and SE1 models. These phones are popular in the corporate world for their price point and value, and the fact that the cheap iPhone won't be as much of a security issue as the cheap android phone. Just thought you might find this interesting. Cheers!
I actually went from 13 pro max to a SE 3rd gen 2022. Overall, it’s been a great decision for me. Same speed but much smaller form factor. There are a few things I miss (large screen) but I love having a smaller device in my front pocket. And a huge difference is the body shape. I don’t ever want to go back to those boxy edges again. I sure hope they come out with rounded edges once again (maybe the 15?). Back to the small screen, though, some web pages with forms to fill out in the browser just don’t get formatted right, to the point that certain fields or buttons simply can’t be put into view to see or click. It’s a real problem especially (or mainly) when using the larger text display zoom setting which I use most of the time. The keyboard is sooo much easier to use with this “larger text” display zoom setting, though.
@l.a.1477 I don’t know if I’ve seen the problem with the default display zoom. Might only be a problem with the ‘larger text’ display zoom setting. I’m waiting on an iPhone 11 Pro I just bought used to arrive. The small screen starts to bother me a little on the SE3. But I still want those rounded edges.
The SE3 works great for me…..good bang for the buck. I have the 12 and 13 mini too,and except for an extra hour or 2 of battery life on the 13 mini,I am very happy just the same. They all do their job well.
I agree. The basic argument against it in this video is that is has an old "looking" shape. Oh Noooo! it is curved instead of round. what shall i do? I agree that if you need a new phone it is a better deal to pay the 100 bucks and upgrade to iPhone 13. But if I use stock ratings I would give the SE a hold rating for right now.
The SE 3 is still important as the only LCD iPhone you can buy new if, like myself, you’re one of the 10% who can’t use OLED due to PWM. I’m watching this on my iPhone 8 Plus, which I’ve had since launch, and will keep another year or two
I have a 13 mini and actually really like it, but I loved when the phones had the curved instead of square edges.. for that reason it makes me want ro get an SE or a used model of the 11 family..
I have bought this back from July and it’s okay. I upgraded from SE2 and I see no difference whatsoever unfortunately. It’s disappointing Apple didn’t add more cameras however I’m comfortable with the home button design, I’m old fashioned this way.
I don’t buy phones for the camera. I like having the nicest quality camera. I can get on my phone but I rarely like to use my smart phone camera and preferably choose to use my interchangeable lens camera. Yes, it’s only 28 megapixels but it is the best camera I have ever used and it takes the best photos I have ever seen and best videos I have ever seen.
iPhone SE 2022 here since December. Wanted to take 12 mini but it was a way too expensive for my pocket so I took the SE 3 as a compromise and my only complaint could be the battery life, but for the rest it’s a quite nice phone✨
It’s still a great phone.. I’d still be using my 2nd gen se if the camera wasn’t kaput. You’re paying for the internals over the package.. there’s also a bunch of people out there who just don’t care about bezel ratios and stuff. I’m one of them.. I also found my se far more comfortable to use and carry than the 13 pro I’m using now. Even with a case, I just find it kinda awkward to handle. I do miss Touch ID as well. Value though? It’s basically a top spec iPhone that’ll see updates for the next five years for half the cost of the flagships.
I use an iPhone SE 2 as my main device and it works great. I have iOS 16 and it didn’t even make it slower. The only problem is I have had it 1y and 1/2 and it’s batter has degraded a ton speak since I am a kid and use it a lot.
This time last year, I upgraded from iPhone 7 to XS. Meanwhile, my kids went from iPhone X to the 13 Pro. Personally, I'm not a fan of the shape or weight of their phone. I'm very happy with all the XS' features, and made a conscious decision to get it rather than the year before's X - the XR was never in the running for me, due to its lower specification. Have to say, I'll probably stay with XS til Apple stop giving it the latest IOS.
same, i just upgraded to a Xs from a 7 earlier this year and it was such a big upgrade for me. watching videos about the latest 13-14s feels like i'm not missing out too much on the Xs, and everything works fine for me
@@inubrother3524 I use a Rhinoshield Crashguard NX with a Popgrip on my iPhone. They look SO good, and the phone has stayed in my hand really well. Would recommend.
I did the same thing too! Only a few years ago though. I had the 7 for 2 years and then upgraded to the XS Max, but personally. I'm not much of a big fan of the XS Max. I had a horrible experience with it, which lead me to Samsung. I will miss my XS Max though, but I'm glad to have moved on from it too
@@syd5099 I had to use an Android tablet for a couple of years in my job, and really didn’t get on with the differences between it and iOS. I’m always interested to watch Android reviews, and I know a couple of people who wouldn’t touch Apple with a barge pole. Personally, I’m an Apple/iOS girl, and wouldn’t consider swapping.
Sound like a broken record at this point, but the iPhone SE is MEANT to have an outdated design. It keeps costs low and people who are looking at the SE know what they're getting if they go that route because...well...some people still PREFER Touch ID. I have this phone and it's still a rock solid phone after almost having it a year.
Tech media has been trying to will away the home button for the longest. LOL. I guess a lot of people can't fathom the fact that not everyone like the new design, notch, and face ID.. *shrugs*
I have that phone. I paid $75 for it brand new. I’d only pay like $120 for it tops. It’s a great phone, I use it daily, but it’s nowhere near the $400+ msrp.
I have been watching your videos since 2019 about iphone se 1st gen and you are the reason why i bought it, thank you and i really love your intro just a pure classic sound and vids goodjob 🤗wish you all the best in life.
I got lucky and won an ebay auction on a used 128gb se 2022. I compared to apple online and I saved about $340, which is insane apple is really overcharging for this phone
I think if the next Gen SE is in a XR or 11 body, that will be a fantastic phone. It will significantly modernise the hardware but get you a lot longer usage than just buying an XR or 11
I agree but when you can find it at 150 brand new with straight talk or simple Mobile this Black why not go for it at least no contracts I wish it would have came out with the iPhone 10r or something shape but the performance is supposed to be great I'm more used to use an iPhone than Androids performance is and longevity as long as it lasts a couple years or so and I could save up for something better in the future Plus without a contract I could save and go on a vacation anyways where I live at in the metropolitan area it is higher price living is a good thing so I have to be financially wise
Got mine gently used for the same price, then traded my XR into Best Buy for a gift card for the $150. In a way, basically got the phone for free, I enjoy the lightness of the phone and don't have a need to upgrade for a few years at least. I'm also glad I don't have to deal with e-sim, much prefer the physical sim cards. I don't game or watch 3 hour movies on my phone, so the screen doesn't bother me at all. It is plenty big enough to check email or watch a short RUclips video on the go.
I have a SE 2020 which has been used as a communication device calls/texts and Emails and the battery life is excellent after two years of use, Just bought a SE 2022 when the other fails as I prefer the home button, will Apple make A forth generation hope so, The only I phone I really miss is the 4S I had two a black and white one if only they had made it with 4G, nice video as for the 13 mini just bought one today before now new ones available.
I’d recommend the se 2020 or 2022. Hands down. Better for value. No reason why everyone should get cell phones over $500!?!? Hell nah. It’s still Apple and still part of the ecosystem. But this is coming from someone who doesn’t have social media and don’t play games on phones. I love the design. I’d get the se 2020 or 2022 (used).
Good to see you in my feed Josh, and thanks for all your work over the years to be honest. I already commented on the other video addressing the issue, but actually noticed that you're back through this one first, missing the other one, somehow. So here's a comment that hopefully helps to get this out to more of your subs, so they'll see you're up and running again, as well!
I have an se 3 and I love the size of it . I shall have to keep it til it wears out as there probably won’t be another phone this size . Not everyone wants a giant phone
You probably never use this phone.I have 13 pro max,s20 ultra and this phone.Phone cost me new 350e.For that price and size this is the best value. You have stable and fast phone that can do anything.Camera is excellent for social network and if you know how to use lightroom its very good.I had se 2 gen also, camera is better because se 3 have some softwer adjustmen, when i take photo, when i go inside gallery photo turn better, probably some softwer thing. For me i dont need again bigger phones. If i need to watch movies and yt videos i can do it on tv.I mean, phone need to be phone not a tablet. This phone size is go to go for all.I mean for real.
Using the SE 3rd gen now, and I really like the phone to be very honest, battery life is actually far better than I thought and I really like the 16:9 screen it has I only got it to experience iOS, and that’s its purpose, its also fast as well. Do I recommend it to anyone? Nope. Cause I really think you got to really want a 16.9 phone to actually get an SE. I do have a S21 as a main phone though
The slightly comical-to-me idea of nitpicking over $100-$200 over a phone price difference and comparing value in juxtaposition to a much larger decision that I'm genuinely curious about related to viewers and author of this video alike: How many people own or lease a car and primarily rely on such a transportation mode that is horrible value when you look at the average cost and the average household income, auto insurance, maintenance and gas included, not to mention the cumulative damage it's doing to the environment. Not everyone HAS to live in the suburbs or HAS to drive to their destinations. Cities make choices to not support alternatives too to be fair.
tbh the se is perfect for someone who cant afford an 1000 iphone lmnop or whatever, but still wants an iphone. but I supposed yr it isnt worth the purchase if you got it like that.
I got use to the larger iPhones ( I’ve always had small iPhones ) And I miss the small fell of the phones And the Touch ID Thinking of getting a SE phone

the issue isnt the phone, but the price. imo apple should keep making an iphone with a home button as an option, charge less ($200-350), and call it the iphone classic or something like that. i doubt they will do it, but it would be a good alternative
hopefully with the next SE they base it on the XR or something. I have a XR right now and when it comes time to upgrade in a few years I want to be able to save my money and get an SE. The only reason I could afford a XR was because it was at the end of production and it was on sale for less than an SE.
If you're going to be using it a lot, probably not. It seems like this phone is good for "basic" phone use. If you're going to be scrolling a lot and utilizing apps, I'd get a newer model; but that also hurts your budget.
Apple gives a 10% veterans discount, which would make the iPhone SE 2022 is $386 brand new for anyone who qualifies. I know it's an older design, but a sub $400 iPhone brand new from Apple seems like a good deal for someone on a budget or who just wants a home button.
I strongly believe this phone exists as a carrier giveaway so they can sell people a service with a "free" of $99 iPhone, or as work phones. There's plenty of people who refuse to use anything but an iphone, so I imagine this design is the best as work phones since its good enough, will be plugged in every night, and the home button is familiar to those who never used an iphone.
TL;DR - YES Just got one last month for a family member and yes it’s great. It’s the right size for a phone, Touch ID is still useful and it’s a iPhone 13 CPU.
I just bought s 13 mini, after having a 1st gen SE and an iPhone 5 before it. I was briefly tempted by the SE3 when I held it on the Apple Store; however, as stated in this video, the price is ludicrous for what is offered. Asking $350 for it new would still be pushing it, but make it way more appealing for tight-budget people; the way it's priced, it's an "or else" proposition for someone who wants to enter the Apple ecosystem paying as little as possible
Well having the channel hacked and terminated wasn't too fun, but back to regular videos for now! I do still have one coming in regards to the whole situation and how it happened.

How long does it last without gaming?
@@wil5174Games like Genshin, you can get 3 hours with max brightness, 5 hours with low power mode and brightness set to 40%.
I got the SE 3 back in December and love it and got it brand new I enjoy using it I no issues battery life

@@OfficialDOD_King Bro I am not stupid lol. SCAM LLLLLLLLLLLLLL. 🤣🤣
The iphones would have sold even more if they used the iPhone 8 Plus shell. I would love to have that phone for 5 more years of updates...

Love the fingerprint reader. I hope they bring it back for the other phones.
It has the A15 chip. Will age gracefully.
*shrugs*

Still rocking my 1st Gen SE from 2016 that dies in an hour and can barely run Safari lol. It's sheer unusability keeps me from getting addicted.
My iPhone SE 2 works great, got a 128GB Product Red used for $150, it was a decent step up from my iPhone 8. I’m probably gonna get an iPhone 12 Pro
in my opinion you should go for a 13 pro or even the base 13, i have the 12 pro and im very disappointed with the battery life
I got it for free back in 2022. And it holds up awesome!
i had iPhone 6 but i upgraded later to iPhone SE 3 (2022) Later on Birthday on Jan 12, 2023, and I love it

I only want SE3 over SE2 due to longer OS support as a result of it being newer

I pick up the se last day before the new years 2024 🎉 I love it
I got mine for 150$ brand new and from what i hear, it’s a great option if you can get it for cheaper basically.
Apple should make their new generation SE with the size of 8plus
Good idea
I wish there was a SE Plus in the body of 8 Plus
Iphone SE 3 have the same battery life as Iphone 11 despite having lower mAh. A15 bionic is really efficient

And here l am using iPhone SE first generation (since 2016!!!!) still in 2023 without problems 😂
I have a SE 2020 which has been used as a communication device calls/texts and Emails and the battery life is excellent after two years of use,
Just bought a SE 2022 when the other fails as I prefer the home button, will Apple make A forth generation hope so,
The only I phone I really miss is the 4S I had two a black and white one if only they had made it with 4G, nice video as for the 13 mini just bought one today before now new ones available.
Still got the iPhone X! It broke a couple months ago and now on the 7+. Definitely nostalgic as I used it back in middle school
Phone was never the problem.... problem was the price ....

It's a great phone! Compact and powerful! Good battery life too!
Because I don't want a cheapo LCD or design from 500. It's definetly a bad deal for the money.
Good to see you in my feed Josh, and thanks for all your work over the years to be honest.
I already commented on the other video addressing the issue, but actually noticed that you're back through this one first, missing the other one, somehow.

had the se 2 since nov 2020 and i think my next phone will be se 3 in nov 2023 when my phone plan is up. only complaint about se2 is battery

Using the SE 3rd gen now, and I really like the phone to be very honest, battery life is actually far better than I thought and I really like the 16:9 screen it has
I only got it to experience iOS, and that’s its purpose, its also fast as well.

Cities make choices to not support alternatives too to be fair.

the camera imo is very good, same as 11 tbh
for better wifi connectivity and 5g
may sacrifice the screen of the iphone 11
its for people that dont really use their phone i.e. most people.
I have one 64 gig and I love it perfect for someone like me small and easy to use
i just love your honest remarks.
tbh the se is perfect for someone who cant afford an 1000 iphone lmnop or whatever, but still wants an iphone. but I supposed yr it isnt worth the purchase if you got it like that.
6:57 my guy has Bionicle background! Nice!
I got use to the larger iPhones ( I’ve always had small iPhones )
And I miss the small fell of the phones
And the Touch ID
Thinking of getting a SE phone
Refurbished with a brand new battery. $206. Well worth the upgrade from my SE original. 😂

Congratulations you have been randomly selected for the giveaway quickly inbox the above name on telegram👆 to claim...
the issue isnt the phone, but the price. imo apple should keep making an iphone with a home button as an option, charge less ($200-350), and call it the iphone classic or something like that. i doubt they will do it, but it would be a good alternative
hopefully with the next SE they base it on the XR or something.

What if i buy iPhone se 3 in second hand ? Will it be worth it
Walmart straight talk is selling the iPhone se3 for 49$ the month of November I’m picking it up to replace my iPhone se2 with a aging battery
mine too bought it way better than my galaxy a53

i'm thinking of getting the se 3 next month for my upgrade. how much would it cost for the upgrade?
I dont use all de cameras or the mag safe. I just call and text. I think im going to buy it
Apple gives a 10% veterans discount, which would make the iPhone SE 2022 is $386 brand new for anyone who qualifies.
