The 14 pro for about $500-600 used is also a really good deal as it added a lot of new features like 48mp camera, Dynamic Island, better 5g antenna, always on display and 2000 nits brightness

i bought an iPhone 13 Pro for $699 AUD and it is a great model for those who don't want to spend upwards of $2000 on a phone. It has a great screen and camera and should last me for many years to come. They are great value right now and aren't super different to the 16 series minus the slight camera differences and Ai stuff which I'll never use
My contract is ending and I usually get a new phone every two years around Black Friday. Currently nothing keeps out at me in terms of value or new features that I’m desperate to have. I use my phone HEAVILY and often am multitasking in Safari and my phone runs very hot and very slow, dims the screen and also crashes several times per day. I use an iPhone 13 mini. My 12 mini did the same, the screen would go black except for a wheel of white lines in the centre and do nothing for 30 seconds before vibrating and locking. One I wiped the 12 mini and my son put his account on it the 12 mini no longer had the issue but the 13 mini does. I’m also not liking the idea of a larger phone but realise I may just have to accept that. Whilst I use it for many hours per day it’s, mostly, plugged in and I can take battery packs so I’m not concerned about battery life and really don’t care about camera quality. All screens are decent these days so that’s not a concern. Part of me thinks I should hold out for 12 months and consider the SE4 or the 17… or the 15/16 if they’re an attractive price. I’ve never kept a phone this long. That being said, we have a functioning iPhone 8. It’s a clone of my sons account and when I use it it runs probably better than my 13 mini. So, whatever the issue is I don’t want to just transfer it over to my new phone.
iPhone SE 2 2020 128GB RAM is a great 2nd phone and runs smoothly on IOS 17.7. The battery runs out quickly with heavy use but charges quickly too! It feels good in the hand but the screen resolution is a bit low and obsolete nowadays, I still like this phone and it fairly cheap too!
Picked up a 14 pro on fb a couple weeks ago for $300. Has a hairline crack on the back panel, 128g, fully unlocked of course, couldn’t be happier with the deal I scored. I love that it still has lightning because a lot of companies are doing clearance on them due the the switch to usbc

@@YourvitamineD I get heating at times too on the 15 Pro. The 11 that I came from had 100% health after a year that I had before the 15 Pro. But I do notice that the 15 Pro does drain quicker when in use.
After 2 years on Android I switched back to the iPhone and got the smaller 16. I’m happy it has the same chip as the pro models, as I buy phones for longevity. Always look into a good carrier deal

I bought it cheaper than the iPhone 16 entry level would cost me. I don’t regret it. It’s a fantastic iPhone with more features than the entry level 16. For people out here looking for an iPhone I would recommend searching for deals online. There are many stores that sell iPhone 15 Pro for a great price. Sure, it’s still a lot of money so if you looking for something cheaper, look at the 13 Pro on the secondhand or refurbished market place. No you’re perfectly fine with the 15 pro. No reason to upgrade unless you want extra small bezels and a camera button which are basically pointless features.
I have an iPhone 8 Plus that I’ve owned for four years and it’s at a pretty decent 73% battery health. I’m upgrading to a 15 in the middle of October and while I’m not a fan of USB-C charging, I can live with it due to the fact that I have a PS5 console that requires those connections for charging my controllers so it won’t be that much of a pain for me. I have a 7th generation iPad and 6th generation iPod Touch so I’ll still have usage for the Lightning cables for those devices. I’ll have to get used to the home button being gone alongside the newer features and bigger screen as my current phone is at 5.5” and I know the iPhone 15 will be at 6.1” so that’ll take a bit to get used to but I feel like I’m hitting the sweet spot without things being too overwhelming for me.
My neighbor is still using their iPhone 8! She refuses to give it up. So, I keep reminding her it is no longer supported. Then again, her sister still is using her iPhone 6!

In my country, most of the models are still available in new conditions. We don't have an Apple store here, only an authorized one. The 16 series lineup is still in "coming" So they are still selling 15, 14, 13, and 12 in new conditions. But they are also still selling 15 pro, 15 pro max, and 11 in clearance.

I got a used SE3 for $100 and OMG its such a good deal at that price. I've been rocking a Samsung and its been good. But Android doesn't support all of the apps I use and legacy iPod docking mode is the only way to get lossless audio streaming in my 2015 Ford other than buying physical media. So at that price it makes a good work phone.

As a long term Pixel user I recently decided to get an iPhone as a backup for long term overseas travel. Initially I was looking at used 13 Pros and also considered a 15 256Gig but finally settled on a base 16 128Gig. My reasoning was the extra 2Gig of RAM and the A18 vs the A15 or A16 on the 13 Pro or 15.

i live in brazil and iphones are extremely expensive here. i got a 14 last month for about 800 dollars (4400 brazilian reais) and the price difference here is insane, so it was the best i could get. im very satisfied so far and plan on keeping it until its no longer supported

The iPhone XR and XS is probably only getting one more year of updates and no more iOS updates, as the iPhone X is still on iOS 16. Probably something I'd avoid. Maybe keep it for the next year if you already have it and it still works.

I haven’t noticed any instance so far. The battery has been stellar as well. Usually lasts me 12-16 hours before it dips to 20% and I have to charge.
I find it hard to believe that Apple would release the iPhone SE4 with better specs and pricing than anything. They have available right now. If I had to bet I would say it might be something like an iPhone 12?

I have an 8 Plus, owned it for four years and it’s at 73% battery health. If you upgraded to a 12, then I think that would still be a pretty solid upgrade although you have to watch out for battery life issues and touch sensitivity problems with those phones. I’m getting the 15 which I know will be a massive upgrade for me but from my research I’ve done on them, they have fixed the screen burn-in and overheating problems so I’m confident I’ll be very safe with what I’ll get since it’s a year after launch by the time I’m getting it.
I upgraded from the 14 pro Max to the 16 pro Max and I think the improvements justify my decision to upgrade but I don’t think I’ll be upgraded for at least three years as I just don’t think the improvements will be enough to justify it with how expensive the iPhone is becoming. No you’re perfectly fine with the 15 pro. No reason to upgrade unless you want extra small bezels and a camera button which are basically pointless features.
I have an iPhone 8 Plus that I’ve owned for four years and it’s at a pretty decent 73% battery health. I’m upgrading to a 15 in the middle of October and while I’m not a fan of USB-C charging, I can live with it due to the fact that I have a PS5 console that requires those connections for charging my controllers so it won’t be that much of a pain for me. I have a 7th generation iPad and 6th generation iPod Touch so I’ll still have usage for the Lightning cables for those devices.
I’ll have to get used to the home button being gone alongside the newer features and bigger screen as my current phone is at 5.5” and I know the iPhone 15 will be at 6.1” so that’ll take a bit to get used to but I feel like I’m hitting the sweet spot without things being too overwhelming for me.
My neighbor is still using their iPhone 8! She refuses to give it up. So, I keep reminding her it is no longer supported. Then again, her sister still is using her iPhone 6!
Also at Walmart in the us they sell 3rd gen ses for 150$ us , but locked to 10:06 total wireless (Verizon) , straight talk , t mobile. Highly suggest these cause after having it activated for 60 days the phone becomes unlocked ,,

Got the 14 pro with 88% battery health. Despite the fact that the 14 pro doesn’t stand out for his battery life, I’ll hold on to it for at least another year.

I got a used SE3 for $100 and OMG its such a good deal at that price. I've been rocking a Samsung and its been good. But Android doesn't support all of the apps I use and legacy iPod docking mode is the only way to get lossless audio streaming in my 2015 Ford other than buying physical media. So at that price it makes a good work phone.

Personally, I really like my iPhone SE 3. It’s not for everyone, but I’m personally happy Apple still makes it.
I found an iPhone 7 Smart Battery Case on eBay and the battery lasts me all day, just wish Apple still made that case.
As a long term Pixel user I recently decided to get an iPhone as a backup for long term overseas travel. Initially I was looking at used 13 Pros and also considered a 15 256Gig but finally settled on a base 16 128Gig. My reasoning was the extra 2Gig of RAM and the A18 vs the A15 or A16 on the 13 Pro or 15.

Just bought me s iPhone 11 pro on Walmarts website gor $250. Having 256gb of storage. Its grade B but the description says grade A. Im hoping its good, i ordered it October 19th 2024 so once its in according to Walmart on the 22nd Tuesday ill update my comment to see if it was even worth it lol. Hopefully i won't get screwed 😅😅

i live in brazil and iphones are extremely expensive here. i got a 14 last month for about 800 dollars (4400 brazilian reais) and the price difference here is insane, so it was the best i could get. im very satisfied so far and plan on keeping it until its no longer supported

@@YourvitamineD I recently bought a 15 pro max and so far it only heats up during charging (if I am not in an air-conditioned or well ventilated room). Regular usage esp gaming? I haven’t noticed any instance so far. The battery has been stellar as well. Usually lasts me 12-16 hours before it dips to 20% and I have to charge.

I have an 8 Plus, owned it for four years and it’s at 73% battery health. If you upgraded to a 12, then I think that would still be a pretty solid upgrade although you have to watch out for battery life issues and touch sensitivity problems with those phones.
I’m getting the 15 which I know will be a massive upgrade for me but from my research I’ve done on them, they have fixed the screen burn-in and overheating problems so I’m confident I’ll be very safe with what I’ll get since it’s a year after launch by the time I’m getting it.

I upgraded from the 14 pro Max to the 16 pro Max and I think the improvements justify my decision to upgrade but I don’t think I’ll be upgraded for at least three years as I just don’t think the improvements will be enough to justify it with how expensive the iPhone is becoming. I appreciate your honesty in that you didn’t buy the iPhone 16 pro Max and you’re one of those rare RUclipsrs that actually follow through what you say I didn’t buy the latest iPhone this year unlike so many youTubers that complain and still buy the latest iPhone every year.
