My wife and I are not hardcore smartphone users, so we ended up with iPhone 13s early in 2023, a few months after the iPhone 14 was released. Our first Apple products ever, we have no complaints about the iPhone 13. Good size, good build, good battery life. Given our modest usage, the batteries will likely outlast the iPhone 13's ability with future iOS releases.
Although I have a 15 Pro, the 13 Pro was the best phone I ever owned. Best battery life even with promotion. USB C is nice on 15 Pro, but the battery life is meh.

Awesome review. Incredibly informative - looking forward to purchasing a new iPhone. I’m swaying towards the 15plus. The pro max battery life put me off somewhat. 😊
I believe for most people still an iphone 11 does the job, and though updates is an issue, it runs nice on IOS 18 and for a little navigation, whatsapp and instagram its way more then enough. iPhone 12 maybe a great option on refurbed market, but the "overall best balance" to me still has iPhone 13. Bigger battery, better cameras, cinema mode compared to 12 or 11. It feels like apple phones are best on "unevan" numbers, like iPhone 11, 13, 15 were great, while 12. 14, 16 seem like "nonsense fillers". Like for example - battery on iPhone 11 is bigger then on the 12. Nobody knows, why thy did this. hehe.
Perfect video that helped me well to choose the upgrade to my iphone 11. The chip upgrade is a great criteria to when to upgrade which I forgot about. I went for the iphone 15 which seems all around and stable for the future. I love you!
Although I wouldn't wanna use one as my main phone, I'm perfectly happy with the SE 3rd gen as a secondary device. Just picked one up $160 used about a month ago. I don't mind the outdated design at all as I already use a galaxy S23 as my main phone. As a matter of fact, it's actually kind of appealing since this'll likely be my VERY last chance to enjoy the good ol' home button and touch id. Not to mention it allows me to also experience iOS without giving up android or breaking the bank.
13 Pro kicking rear still, probably upgrade in a year or three. Miiight go back to Android idk, I don’t want to but I miss how easy it was to copy/paste photos to or from a PC as if it was a flash drive or SD card from a camera. I like both but I do prefer iOS and iPhone camera consistency. We will see!
Dawg I have an iPhone 8 and my parents absolutely refuse to get me a new one. I’ve seen literal 6 year olds have newer phones than me, while my phone is almost older than them. 😭
Still rocking the iPhone 6S in October 2024. Has had 3 batteries and now use a battery case which I still have to use daily. Pictures and a videos at night are not great. The worst is that it will not update far enough to keep some apps such as Fly Delta, State Farm or Uber. eBay has refurbished phones for a discounted price.
This was so helpful, thank you! My iPhone 11 is dying a death: can't make or receive calls, is having trouble connecting to wifi, and just today has started refusing to text android phones. Siiiiiggghhhhh. So annoying! So I'm going to have to buy another phone, and was feeling completely lost at sea. This video was really helpful! Now I just need to wait until the new one comes out this week and the price on the older phones goes down.
@@sal-uf7mt The newer iPhone. Dead boring, but eh, it was an easy transition. But anyway. I can make phone calls now I suppose.
If you have an iPhone 12 or above, I wouldn't see a huge benefit to upgrading. iOS is still the same either way, so it'll always be smooth. Instead of buying a new phone, just replace your battery if it's not holding a good charge.

@@Snmolefe If you have the choice between a 12 or 13 (Mini or regular), I’d always go 13. Also, the 13 Mini got the 12 Pros’ camera, so that would be another reason to go with the 13 Mini. Plus, the 13s got photo stabilisation. And they’ll get an extra year of iOS support.
I should be on commission! 🤣

The battery life one 13 mini is better and the notch is smaller with better cameras.
Had the iPhone Xr since 2018 and last week I was at Apple Store to test the new iPhone's and the normal iPhone 15 felt like my Xr slow and laggy so not a big upgrade. And that after 6 years... Only the Pro Max felt like an upgrade with 120hz, 5x zoom etc. so I bought the 15 Pro Max 👌🏼
I've had my XR since the summer of 2019 and they will have to pry it from my cold dead hands. Great battery life (condition still at 85%!!), love it! just sad about not getting any big updates from sept on.
Really needed this review! Brandon always know what to post and when to post it

it really angers me that the weather app still gives different temperatures in different phone even if they are showing the same exact location
this is why i use the weather channel
Still using my iPhone 11, it's been my main phone since it's release and the only the battery life so far has diminished, which still holds an entire day regardless.
Get the battery replaced it should be around 50 bucks
I too have the 11, mines battery is only lasting for like 3-4 hours so I might upgrade to the 13
Pretty much the 15 pro is the iPhone made for Android users. Literally why I bought it. Finally has all the important features from Android plus Apple.

I upgraded to a 15 plus from an 8 plus that I’ve had for 7 years. It was definitely worth it and I plan on having it until it stops receiving new content
Love my 15 plus ❤ battery BEAST
GOAT battery life 🔋
Same! Gave my 14 pro away for 15 plus. Love it!
great choice! but i’m rocking the pro max cause of the camera & action button 📸 😊
true
I’ve been suffering too long with my 6s plus. Thinking to go for 15 pro max. But he says that is 2nd best? I like a big phone though.
me buying iphone 15 pro, me seeing this video, i just wanted to say that ppl maybe buy the 15 pro because they just want an affordable phone with the alweays on display and the 120 herz display like idc about the cameras i just play mobile esports.
I have a 12 Pro Max and tbh I wasn't considering an upgrade till the 17s come out or something but lately I've been having a lot of troubles with the phone so rn I am trying to resist to urge to upgrade till the 16s come out.
I just got a 12 pro max after testing iPhone 13 and 14, and it is just far better, premium feeling etc and a better battery, but personally yeah I’d wait 17 or 18
I took quite a while before deciding on the 15 plus.Every time I went in the Apple store the 15 pro and max where either warm or hot to hold.I got the 15 plus with £100 off the price and I'm very happy with it,no problems with games or photos and I don't really notice the difference in refresh rates anyway.
And what is the sound like? Is it good enough? In 15+ specification they put -27db
I’ve got the 14 pro max when it was brand new and I’ll probably keep it for another few years before I upgrade again.
Yeah not reason to upgrade from the 14 pro! Great phone
No you won't. Apple wants you upgrading every 3 years. Your phone will mysteriously go tits up.
@@JamesG1126honestly that’s just the battery. Which obviously has wear and tear. You just get it replaced through Apple for like $40 and boom. Phone is like brand new again
@@JamesG1126 that is actually not true, you can go easiy 5 years with iphones the only thing that changes is the battery health. i used to have an iphone 7 and an iphone 13 both of them work perfectly fine to this day
@@TheCC22 The touch pad on my Iphone SE went tits up. Thanks Apple.
upgrading from my 8 to a 15. only iphones i’ve had are the 7 and 8, those barely had any difference to me. going to get whiplash from this upgrade
Upgraded from 7 to 13 😂 the difference is really huge
Similar situation and I’m psyched for the change
I just picked up the 15 reg. I no longer care about HRZ, camera having a slight edge, faster processor etc. I care about speed (ANY of those is fast), battery life and basic functionality. For me the 15 was great. I got one for 400 bucks. I won't have a new one tell this one shits out, or gets destroyed.
400?????
Also wondering about the price
My wife and I are not hardcore smartphone users, so we ended up with iPhone 13s early in 2023, a few months after the iPhone 14 was released. Our first Apple products ever, we have no complaints about the iPhone 13. Good size, good build, good battery life. Given our modest usage, the batteries will likely outlast the iPhone 13's ability with future iOS releases.
Very nice and organised video.. I got every information I needed in half an hour.. very well done👍
15 plus… Great upgrade.. worth buying in 2024… I am enjoying it in every aspects😊
Although I have a 15 Pro, the 13 Pro was the best phone I ever owned. Best battery life even with promotion. USB C is nice on 15 Pro, but the battery life is meh.
Definitely going for the third gen SE. I’m not glued to my phone with social media, just day to day regular phone texting, calling, note taking. 👍
I had an SE3 and was about to buy a 13 mini in Product Red before Apple dropped it from their line. Went for the 13, same chip as the 14 but nicer colours than the 15. My friend bought the Blue Titanium 15 Pro and it’s a thing of beauty. If Apple ever did a Red Titanium Pro, they would have got my money - fast!
Got my Product Red 13 Mini at the end of January this year. Stunning colour and looks great with my black bumper and glittery MagSafe grip. Love it.
@@pug_63I hate you 😂

I used to skate and would pick the smaller phones bc they fit comfortably in my pocket but now that I’m old and have a job I go all out 😄

The only thing it change is the Huge deference Of price
"buy the iphone 13 for your kid if they're doing good at school" well, guess what. my parents are buying me iphone 13 because i do well at school :DD
Should I buy the 13? its pretty new and looks nice and looking at some reviews, it has some good stats should I still buy it? And its a good budget phone.

I have the 15 Pro. I love the small form factor and that it’s still able to be used with one hand and it’s still immensely powerful. I have an iPad if I want a big screen. Was never a fan of the Max or Plus phones. I don’t feel like I’m losing out on the 5X camera or on battery life. And I am happy that Apple has kept the SE in the line. It’s a great phone for older people or kids getting their first phones. And the SE is frequently on sale or subsidized on prepaid carriers. Don’t discount it just because it isn’t the newest design.
I paid $250 for my new SE 2020. At that price point it’s killer phone.

I'm planning to sell my iphone 13 mini because I find it too small and the battery isn't optimal. After watching this video I assume the 15 will be the best upgrade for casual use?
I got the 15 from a 12 mini and its great. Miss the smaller size because of my hands but the battery lasts so long. Often ending the day with 50% left.
Nobody knows, why thy did this. hehe.
Brandon thanks for the great video. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and I am looking to upgrade. Your information helps a lot.
If I were you, I would wait for the 16, 4 generations is the sweet spot from my experience, like that it REALLY feels like an upgrade :)

Rocking iPhone 15 Pro Max in blue titanium. No regrets so far
Wow, I’ve forgotten Apple even sold the SE. A old’ rust bucket next to the Ferrari’s is absurd.
ha. Such a pointless phone to buy at full retail price in 2024
@@BrandonButch I’d argue it’s a pointless phone period unless you want Touch ID and the old design for some reason.
Apple keep it because they know who buy it : it’s the cheapest entry for the apple ecosystem and a lot of corporations use this as their work phones
Even tho it's a sleeper in terms of performance it's still not worth it at all
@@RealJoseph123nah it’s not a pointless phone in general, if you get one used-refurbished for $100-$250 it’s much more worth it
13 Pro kicking rear still, probably upgrade in a year or three. Miiight go back to Android idk, I don’t want to but I miss how easy it was to copy/paste photos to or from a PC as if it was a flash drive or SD card from a camera. I like both but I do prefer iOS and iPhone camera consistency. We will see!

What did you pick
@@sal-uf7mt The newer iPhone. Dead boring, but eh, it was an easy transition.
I can't tell you how much I hate that the buttons don't have a good feel to them, and they got rid of the "silent" switch. It's a button instead now and it's just....not great.
But anyway. I can make phone calls now I suppose.

I just got an SE and it’s esim actually. This is my secondary phone I have a 15 pro but honestly I’m loving how comfortable and light my SE is 😊
If you have an iPhone 12 or above, I wouldn't see a huge benefit to upgrading. iOS is still the same either way, so it'll always be smooth. Instead of buying a new phone, just replace your battery if it's not holding a good charge.
Excellent review side by side just the facts thank you

that weight difference tho. i had a 12pm and had to get rid of it due to wrist strain. i know the 14pm and 13pm are heavier, but i went from an xsmax at 208g to the 12pm at 228g and those extra 20g really made a difference.
I went for an iPhone 13 for my daughter from a iPhone 7. Its the best bang for the bucks. Paid 350 for a like new condition in box and new apple battery. The iPhone 14 is 600 her in Switzerland while the iPhone 15 ends up new at 700. For me 14 is no choice, either you afford a 15 or the 13 is a better choice. My wife got a 13mini replacing her iphone8. She did not want a larger phone.
i just ordered a 12, i am using a 7. even i love Home button i went for a new 12 256GB because it's the same price as SE and it has bigger, better screen( oled vs ips, 1080p vs 720p) and also dolby atmos. only the processor is a bit better in the new SE. it not worth the money...
