I just discovered Biber a few days ago. I have to say, his work has been consistently blowing my mind on a regular basis. He is phenomenal. I don't know why he isn't much more popular. Everybody knows the "Big 3" Bach, Beethoven, Mozart. Then there is the 2nd tier (popularity wise) Handel, Vivaldi, Shubert, Tchaikovsky, etc, 3rd Tier, Alninoni, Corelli, etc. Biber's work is so excellent, I am surprised he isn't better know. 2-3rd tier at least. Oh well. I am just happy I found him.
