aw man, this is exactly what I want to do. Did you have to modify the dash for the tablet to fit? It looks like it fits perfectly. IS that the 1st gen nexus or 2nd? I plan on getting the 1st gen for my car but if the roms and such will only work with the 2nd gen, then I'll put up the cash for it
Hey Bro the opening of the dash for the double din radio was the perfect fit for the tablet, the only thing that I did was to slightly modify the location where the radio screw hole are, aside from that it is a perfect fit, and I used the second gen N7 because there has been some upgrades and more compatible with the roms, I hope this helps but if I can be of anymore help let me know.
well I do have a few questions. do you have a stereo unit behind the tablet or is it just solely the tablet? Can the tablet pick up your voice pretty well without any additional microphones? Do you have a set up where your tablet can bluetooth (or by some other means) voice calls and maybe texts from your cell phone? kinda like how dash units bluetooth with a phone?
***** I do have stereo head unit installed behind the tablet it's an old radio that I've had for many years a Clarion VRX765VD, and used a headphone to RCA cable to line into the radio and then out from it to my AMP's if your car has built in amplifiers then all you would is a harness kit for your car, the unit's is quite sensitive and is able to pick up voices from the rear seats, however if you have your AC on it will be difficult to do so, what i intend to do is solder a mic and install it just outside the instrument cluster, a bluetooth would eliminate the need to add a mic.

cool. Well I have a 99 infiniti as well so I know about the stereo wiring of the car although I have never modified anything on it yet.
