    I had surgery on it when I was 18 because the tendon tore due to the stress. I'm now 21 and can squat, run, jump, deadlift, and all that other fun stuff with little to no pain. If you have health coverage, I recommend the surgery. They file down the bone so that the hump is no longer there, which gets rid of all the pain because your tendon no longer has to stretch further than it is meant to. About a two week recovery before walking normal. I feel better than I did before the torn tendon, three years later.

      Wait, so hear me out. I have it right now, at age 17, and its on my right knee. The bump is huge like really huge, it doesn't hurt, but only hurts when I apply a lot of stress to it, like running for example. I could play last year, a whole season of soccer with little to no pain. It hurts when I also sit on it, as in knees to the ground. Its just that the bump is so pointy and huge. I was planning on doing surgery, when I got older to remove the bump, so tell me the details. Did they actually manage to completely remove the bump? File it down? Is it the same as the other knee, as in height? I just want my right knee to be the same as my left one. I want the pain of hump gone. Tell me the details man.

      Bryant my doctor told me there is no surgery for this type of overgrown bone!!!

    • @bryantstuewer8013
      @bryantstuewer8013 7 лет назад

      There is, I had it man. My tendon eventually tore causing them to decide to file down the hump and repair the tendon and I have felt great ever since. It is still a little numb to the touch but fine other than that. Not sure if there is a scientific name to the surgery but it may only be used in extreme cases, I couldn't say for sure.

    have it in both legs and i play 7th grade soccer found that laying on my back on the edge of a couch or something, an edge and having someone presumably mom/dad hold your leg (p.s. let your leg go limp when you do this) and have them gentle move you leg side to side up and down, not to where it hurts but just as far as its comfortable do this for 1-2 mins whatever leg DOES hurt as with me both legs now it kinda cures the pain lets say your be active and you quickly start running then boom your leg just instantly starts to kill and doesn't stop hurting even after when your just walking and it still hurts rest of the day still hurts this WILL help if done exactly how i said all that pain vanishes but crouching still what originally hurt still hurts what you do JUST TRY IT, IT ALWAYS WORKS FOR ME plus it only take like a min or to TRY IT

    Nice vid. I'm 33, had Osgood Schlatter's when I was in high school, it went away (though I've always had the bumps below my patellas), and recently I've been exercising regularly and have just reached a point where I have to take a break due to pain around the left bump. I've really been getting into weight training and hope I can work through it!

      I actually found out that just wearing knee sleeves helps me and if you're lifting I would suggest you try it out. Unless those straps help out enough then that's fine too. But yea man the pain gets killer.
