I'm a newer mourning gecko breeder and I recognize the aquarium store! It is absolutely the best one in the area and I go there to get supplies and sell babies once they are old enough. Their setups are amazing and their animals are very well cared for. The staff there is wonderful and made the first time easy despite the anxiety I was having. It was so bittersweet saying goodbye to my first set of babies and I think about them all the time. Sometimes I wish I had kept the very first hatchling.. but three mamas is plenty for me, lol.

@@sylviemarie1993 If you come just a little ways south to Texas or other parts of the US south we have two species of house geckos. They’re both invasive species but they don’t seem to be causing ecological harm like other invasives (like brown anoles, for example).
They’re cute. They’re about the size of these little mourning geckos and it’s common to find them in houses. But you usually find them on the outside of windows, glass doors, or around porch lights at night. They know those are good places to catch bugs with lots of little cracks and ledges to wedge themselves in to if a bigger predator shows up.
We used to catch them when I was a kid and get them to walk upside down or sideways on our hands before they jumped off. Or we’d catch them in glass jars and look at their little toe pads before releasing them again and asking them to please eat many mosquitoes, lol.

These are everywhere in my house, usually at night time when you leave your drink out in the open, they will come and take a few sips. Everytime I find em drinking from my cup or they are making noise while fighting (you just hear screaming and clicking noises) lol.
