@@SmokinwithKasket I just love your cart haha - watched it years ago for my Weber smokey Joe table inspiration and again recently now that we've upgraded to a 22" so it was funny to see the update still wasn't there 😆 I love this video regardless of a continuation or not, but sure would love to hear an update of ups and downs, anything you'd change after years of usage ☺️❤️
My dad if Ted me a 22" Weber Kettle and came across your video - you're a king, sir...I'm not very good with wood or tools, but I know a guy who watched your video and said he could do it with the help of his dad...appreciate you doing this video 🤘🏼
Hi William - I've had my custom Grill Station for 2 weeks now and the only problem I have is where to hang the lid...at the very end of your video you mentioned a wooden bracket - did you ever install it or find a different solution? I'm thinking of getting one of those 30" Circular Plant Stakes, stake it into the grass next to the Grill Station and hang the lid on it, but there has to be a better solution - your help is appreciated 👍🏼
Omg!!! This has to be the most honorable compliment I’ve ever received! I’m just a DIY’er having learned a lot from my dad growing up. He was a bricklayer BTW. I’ve never thought of myself on any type of level like that. Just always been OCD about everything I do. Thank you for watching and commenting. You have made my day!!
Really enjoyed putting this together. I might suggest using 1x6 boards on the top shelf to remove some weight. Looks great and works great and I've gotten a few compliments to boot.
Inkredable One - Wow!!! Your too kind. Thank you for the awesome comment and watching my video. You will be very happy with your drum smoker! It’s an awesome cooker. Happy Smokin’ My Friend!!
I like your design & build - the suggestions I would make are: (1) possibly use pneumatic tires, that way this can go across the lawn a little easier, or even load onto a trailer heading to a tailgate during college football season! (2) consider making the shelf removable, to give more flexibility of the enclosed storage place (great place to stash the cooler with the *premium* brews!! (3) add some additional piping, much like the cart handle, for towels to hang from, and maybe add S hooks so utensils can hang as well - keeps the top free for important things... like brats!! Happy times with this unit! Looks great!!
Oh WOW!!! Those are awesome ideas. Thank you for that. I did plan on adding a towel bar or two. The tire idea and cooler idea are fantastic. Thanks. I appreciate your support.
@@mrow7598 I was thinking sort of the same thing. I would add a piece of sheet aluminum on the bottom under the grill. Just in case of hot coals falling. Which they do from time to time and grease that WILL drip through the grill. You can find sheet aluminum at your local newspaper or publishing printing operation. They call them plates. Put the print side down or get the comic section and put the print side up!
For sure i am going to ask my brother (he is a carpenter) to make this for me... Thank u for the video sir.... Appreciate it so much.... All the best for u
Start with something smaller. I made a ladder plant stand as my first woodworking project and it became such a fun hobby. 1. From smaller projects I have half the tools, just need a few more for this one. 2. It's go at your own pace that's the beauty. Perfect when you need solitude. 3. Talent comes from repetition and you haven't repeated anything like this, but if you do you'll have it.
You’ve inspired me, next trip to my timber merchant I’m going to purchase the wood necessary and replicate your doors, wheels, handles, push bar etc. Nice relaxed, clear and straightforward narrative for the build explanation too. Thanks!
Great to hear. Have fun and take your time. Be sure everything is square from the beginning. Appreciate your support and positive comments. Happy Smokin'!!!
Take the edges off the front legs to keep them from splitting. Erase all pencil marks. Get some good outdoor poly to finish it with. Call it good! Personally I love the look of pine. And also love your idea of the hook for the lid :) really cool project! I just bought this grill and was telling my wife I NEED to build a cart like this lol
Thank you kind sir! Sorry for the delay in responding. I’ve installed casters on the front legs. Works great now - no lifting! Stay subscribed so you’ll catch the finish video coming soon. Stay safe and healthy.
Hey there. Norway - awesome!!! Thank you for watching and commenting and hopefully subscribing. I plan to have the completed video on the final project this spring. Thank you again fir your support. Would LOVE to visit Norway some day! Stay safe.
Nice project. I love how you made it. surprising how snug the kettle holds with no bolts. That many ground brackets all the way around help form a binding setup. Great job. Enjoyed watching.
Thank you Phil. Appreciate that. Can’t wait to get it stained and start using it. I thought I was going to have to secure the kettle to the cart by making a bracket for the handles. But it really is tight and secure. You’re right- the brackets form a binding setup.
WOW!!! That's an amazing compliment. Thank you!!! No engineering background- I'm actually a death investigator of 32 years for a large metropolitan area. I've been told I sound like the late, great John Candy, but I don't hear it - LOL!!! Thank you for watching and giving me your support. P.S. Loved Tim, the Tool Man, Taylor!!!
Now you are my type of builder...using a Walmart drill, claps from Harbor Freight and borrowing tools from a neighbor. I fell like I could complete this project how you built it. I am only missing that neighbor part but I will figure it out. Also I think I might consider adjusting the top to drop in a cutting board. It would have to be removable so it could be cleaned but it would be great to have a surface to cut on and another reason to complete a different project. Thanks for sharing. I guess I will have to subscribe now too. 😉
Thank you Rabid Fan!!!! I laughed so hard after reading your post. I didn't realize it but you're right!!! The cutting board idea is a great one!!! I will end up putting some type of oversized cutting board on this one as well. Appreciate your subscription. I will have some cool videos coming this way soon. Been a long winter and I'm trying to get back on my feet with vids. Happy Smokin' my friend!!!
@Cobb Knobbler I'm not an actor, but I do the rest of it. Agreed, men should be able to do this project without a problem. I think he did a great job.!! But I don't think it's elaborate. It's a simple and very useable design to be proud of. I can almost smell the steaks grillin. ☺️
Love the project. Reminds me of working with my kids when they were young. Now I can involve the grandkids. I may do this and put the wheels on the cabinet end so I won’t be lifting all that weight, just the kettle. Good stuff! Thanks for the content.
Great video very detailed and informative. Got a question. How is the cart holding up with the heat of the grill? Also how's the wood holding up with the elements?
Hey, this gave me an idea to have a go at one for a pizza oven, must have had some influence because I never build anything but the frame turned out a lot like this one. I don't have a lot of tools, but this build was pretty easy even for a novice like me. Measure, pencil, some sort of saw, drill, driver and speed square and it was pretty simple. Thanks
Nice build. Thanks for taking the time to share. One suggestion I have would be placing the wheels on the opposite side of the grill and obviously the same for the handle. That weber is a very lightweight grill and you already have much more weight in wood alone on the other side. It makes more sense to have your heavy side over the wheels for an easier time transporting the cart. That might require a new locking system for the doors to make sure contents don't push the doors open while in tow. Otherwise, great design. I may do something similar but with a conduit frame for my PK grill.
@@SmokinwithKasket Excellent video. My wife insisted we get a kettle grill about that size (although a much less expensive one, I suspect), and she love to use it. Unfortunately, until I get the cover on the back deck, we don't use it very often. Okay, I loved the video, all your ideas are really cool. My only suggestion would be, when doing the shelf, only put one board in at a time, makes it easier to reach the back ones. Of course, on the downside, you won't have the front ones to rest on. I'm lazy, I would have used a lot more plywood than you did! Blessings, brother!
Great Job sir and great video. I hate the videos that play music only and keep speeding things up. You keep it real. And nice editing, I worked in the broadcast business for 30 years and you did better than some guys that I trained. Over all...very nice. I think I'll make this one..after I buy the Weber. lol..Best regards.
Glad this video was helpful. At least you may get an idea or two and use it on yours. Thanks for watching. Much appreciated. Let us know what you did. Happy Smokin’!!!!
Love the project mate. I'm doing my best to try build one like it but here in Australia we use millimetres not inches so it's making my brain hurt a little. Our 2×4 equivalent is 35×90. I've decided to put my wheels on the end with the cabinet as I assume that'll be the heavy end when it's full of charcoal and smoking chips. Great work mate, love it.
Thank you!!! Appreciate your kind words of support. Its very interesting hearing how other places in the world accomplish things. You can simply adjust your measurements to your preference. They don't have to be exact.
Thank you for guidance on building this cart. I duplicated and stained it walnut and put a couple coats of poly on it. It looks amazing. I found the door handles on Amazon. I did put removable shelves in and drilled two small holes near the kettle to stick my thermometer probes into. I do have one suggestion...the cart is a BEAST! LOL. I'm going to put my pull bar on the other end and move the wheels to the cabinet end. At 64...the cabinet feels like I'm lifting a fridge while the kettle end is much lighter. Everyone loves the cart so thank you for posting! Ed
Glad to hear this video was helpful. I ended up putting casters on the opposite end. It truly is a beast!!! I will have the completed cart video this spring when the cold weather breaks. Happy Smokin'!!!
Thank you for watching and supporting. Please keep us updated with your progress. This is a fun project!!! I have the finished video coming soon. Sneak peek...I installed casters on the handle side as it was becoming too heavy to pick up. Works very well. Bought the heavy duty casters at Harbor Freight. Please subscribe if you haven’t already and watch for the upcoming video. Stay safe!!!!!
Wow! Just ran into this video and was blown away by the incredible innovation. I just bought a 26" Weber Kettle and would love to build something alike. My carpenter skills are not good at all. I would have to find someone that would be up to the challenge. I would definitely buy one of these if they were sold in stores! LOL! Excellent job and very entertaining video!
Thank you for the awesome comment. Glad you liked this video. Thank you fir watching snd hopefully you’ll build one for yourself. Start out with the simple framing and keep adding on. Not too complicated. Stay safe and healthy my friend.
There are thousands of woodworking videos on RUclips. This is one. But inside it has so many great carpentry shortcuts and tips that can be carried forward for thousands of projects!! This video is better than you think my friend. However, one portion missing is. How did you attach the kettle to the brackets? Vital part. Did you use screws or rivets????
Wow. What an awesome compliment. Thank you so much for watching and supporting. The answer to your question is that the kettle rests on those brackets. The brackets slide into the curled rim, I think there’s a spot in the video where I show that up close. The handles are just resting on the surface of the table. Those brackets for some reason grip really well and the kettle will not shift, turn or move. It’s actually a great set up to use those brackets. It keeps the unit rock solid.
@@SmokinwithKasket wow great. I just figured you had attached it without showing. Seems logical to keep it loose for easy cleaning. I’ve got a Weber performer on the tripod. Looking to transfer it to something like this. I will be building this in the spring. Thanks for the reply!
Roy Johnson - Yes. You definitely need to do this. You don’t have to get to deep with the addition of the cupboard (but it’s nice to have the storage). Keep it simple to start out with. I added casters to the front so there’s no lifting. Much better. I’ll have the finished video with a few more additions and the completed stained cart very soon. Please subscribe if you haven’t already. Let us know how your project turned out when you’re done. Thanks again. Stay safe and healthy!!!!

The finished video is in the works. Thank you for being patient. I’m stuck as a front line worker during this COVID ordeal. Exhausting hours. I will have it finished. Thank you for your support. Stay safe.
Thank you for the for providing all the measurements and the dimensions for the cart. Nice woodworking skills and the craftsmanship on that BBQ cart is excellent .
Hi Kenny. Appreciate your wonderful comments. Hope this video was helpful for you and everyone elase looking to take on a project like this. Happy Smokin'!!!
Really good easy to follow video,. i have the wood working ability of your average 5 year old. but still managed to have a good attempt at it, just trying to work out the doors, thanks again
This video was very helpful. It gave me some ideas and your right the handles are very cool. I got some kitchen counter top laminate laying around I'll use it for the top. Thanks for taking the time to video your project.
Thank you for watching. I’m glad this video was helpful and gave you some ideas. Using a laminate is an excellent way to go. Stay safe and healthy my friend.
I'd like to thank you because I've in my mind to build something similar but haven't find yet the right way, until I saw your video, really inspiring. Thanks for sharing your work
Thank you. Hope you’ll get some ideas from this video that you can implement into your project. This was a fun and easy project. Keep us posted on your outcome. Happy Smokin’!!!
Hi Victor - Thank you for the support and kind words. This was a fun project; I hope you were able to get some ideas from it. Let us know how your project turned out.
Nice project. Well done video. Norm Abram would be impressed! Thanks for sharing the measurements and the extra helpful tips along the way. I would agree with others that pneumatic tires would be preferable as this cart has to weigh a ton. Thank you!!
WOW!!!! What an amazing compliment saying that Norm Abrams would be impressed. I'm very great-full for your support and kindness. I may end up switching to pneumatic tires. I'm planning on adding casters to the front as well. Your right, this cart has gained a lot of weight!!! Thanks again. All the Best-
What a great video, thanks! If you move this around a lot and find the bolts for the wheel axles, wallering out the wood, you can by steel sleeves that go through the hole, then put your threaded axle through the sleeve.
Hey Michael - Glad have you here visiting my channel. This was an easy project with minimal tools. I'm anxious to start publishing some great grilling recipes on the Weber Kettle. I need to get the unit stained and completed. If you have any questions or need assistance with the project, please don't hesitate to send me a comment. Happy Smokin' my friend!!!
I love this I have an old Gas Grill that the flimsy metal frame has rotten (I live in the uk and it rains 90% of the year) so I will take the idea from what you made here and adapt it thanks for the idea buddy brilliant yet simple build keep it up 👍

William Kasper , thanks for your reply, I wasn’t expecting one.... I suspect that people like yourself that take the time to show and teach us newbies are pretty busy doing videos on top of your day to day and in addition to the crappy Covid 19 virus, so I appreciate you taking the time to read and respond! Great build and video. Thank you for sharing your talent and craftsmanship. I would be interested in knowing how you built the bracket to hold the kettle lid on the end of the cart. Thanks!
To be honest I liked your idea very much, I won’t be adding the grill, instead I’ll be doing granite countertop. I’ll be doing this to surprise my good friend on his bday, he’s always struggling when he bbqs. Keep up the good work 👍🏽💯

I have a old Weber grill that I've had for 16 years it had a metal frame and a stainless top which has surcome to the weather, I'm definitely doing that for mine to keep it alive. I BBQ so much that I buy a new grill top every year @ Ace hardware for $20 bucks not a bad investment to last as long as it has and will after I'm finished with the new grill frame like yours. Thanks👍
Just bought the same grill and now you gave me inspiration to do the same thing. Absolutely amazing video. Big gigantic thumbs up. Can't wait to see the finished project after staining. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Ken. Appreciate your support and kind words. Let us know how yours turned out with the ideas you got here. Definitely a fun project. The finish / stain video is coming soon. Thanks for watching!!! Happy Smokin'!
Watching your set up is motivating me to create my own cart.I have a weber q1000 and planning on buying a blackstone griddle..I would like to create a station for both. Thanks for the inspiration.
Hey - Great to hear!!! Do you plan on making two separate carts or one to hold both of them? Thanks for watching. I’m going to publish Part II on the finishing of the cart as soon as the weather breaks and we get some warmth. Be sure to subscribe so you’ll get the notifications. Thanks again.
Nice and complete instructions. Thank you very much. I plan to use these ideas to make a cart for my 26" Weber and use the storage for all my aftermarket removable parts. I also plan to use plans for a small bar or counter. Good job! Thanks
Thank you so much for watching. Please subscribe if you haven’t already. So glad to hear this video was helpful and inspiring. Let us know how your project turned out. Stay safe and healthy my friend. Happy Smokin’!!!
Great to hear Eber. I hope this video helped. Just a simple frame with a top does wonders when having the grill next to your work surface. No need to get elaborate with a cabinet but, it helps to have a place to store BBQ tools and equipment. Happy Smokin'
Nice build and thanks for sharing. Afterthought that might have been better to put the wheels on the cabinet side being that it will be the heavier side.
Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I actually ended up putting casters on the opposite end of the wheels because it really truly was too heavy to pick up and wheel around. The installation of the casters works fantastic!
Super cool project. I will add for anyone who plans to do something like this, if your grill is going to stay outside, make sure you use a spar urethane to protect from moisture. I am a little hesitant because all of my grills have to stay outside all of the time, but I really want to do this. Great job. Looking forward to part 2.
Well Done! Thank You for taking the time to film this and explain the step by step process in simple terms. This Weber grill has character now and a usable work area. Enjoy.
Thank you for watching and commenting. This is a easy and fun project and you can make it as elaborate as you wish. There is a cover that fits it I found one at Lowe’s. It’s a collegiate cover. As soon as I can find the model number I’ll post that. Thank you for watching and please subscribe if you haven’t already. I will have the finishing video coming soon. Stay safe and healthy.
Looks great. Will be doing similar, but may go with the cabinets in the front instead of side. My additions will probably include a meat probe holder and a utensil holder/hooks.
Looks like a really nice project. Very solid and very functional. The only thing I would add would be to make your shelf a pull out. It's not too deep as is so it would only be of you had to access something in the back of the cabinet. An added one by board with a 1/16th clearance in top would do it. Just make the shelf solid and unscrewed from the frame of the cabinet. A couple of swivel wheels with locks in the other end and it's also mobile without lifting one end. I recently got server Performer. The shelf space is nice but this would be even better. I agree with the lid hanger. That would be a be addition
Not bad. One thing I'd add to it Drill holes in the legs and install some carrage bolts in the bottom of the 2x4 legs so the legs don't get chewed up by moving the cart around with the hammer in nuts you can also use them to balance the cart if its not on flat surface it will also keep water from wicking up into the legs. I think I would have used ceder over pine Decking materials also ceramic screws. Doing this makes it safe outside all year. A stain sealer will keep it looking new. You might also consider a metal shelf under the grill in case hot embers fall out it won't catch fire. I was thinking along these lines but welding one using bed frames I salvaged. Saving the materials from the scrap pile you can use an old appliance like a dryer side for the sheet metal or Buy some dimond plate for it and the top this would keep the box dry to store coal and lighter fluids all year outside. I grill all year I've done it when its snowing outside. Nothing like a grilled hickory bugger in the winter. Ill mix lipton onion soup 2 packs to 3 lbs ground beef and a BBQ dry rub mix it up then grill it using charcoal and smoke from hickory chips webber makes some great dry rubs. You cant add too much. Also never clean your grill out the carbon the smoke made helps the flavors get better. If it starts blistering off just knock off the loose stuff. You can use foil to clean the grill grate. Then brush it off watch for metal brush tins. An old brush will loose needles.
You have listed many AWESOME ideas. Actually I will have the finished video coming in the near future. I have added casters to the front legs because the cart was getting too heavy to pick up and move around. In the video I believe I bought plastic discs with a nail that I hammered into the bottom of the legs to keep them off the ground. The casters are totally GREAT and work wonderfully. I will showcase them in my completed video this spring. I have also located a large cutting board that I will be staining and using on the top as an additional way of protecting the top and making cleanup easier. I also have located a large enough cover I will show and illustrate in the final video. One thing though, I store all of my smokers and grills in the garage so the elements will not be eating my units. Thank you for the awesome comments and supporting the video and my channel. MUCH APPRECIATED!!!! Please susbscribe if you haven't already. Stay safe and healthy!!!
@@SmokinwithKasket Well I'm in kansas city mo bbq captiol of the world, unlike other places we cook every type of meat. Texas no rubs no BBQ just wood chips. Back south east its Pork only pork. I'll grill chiken beef, fish. Veggies, fruits, pork, turkey game hens, you name it its going on the grill. Bbq coals with wet wood chips smoke dies out flip it indirect heat by the time I do my first flip the wood chips flavor has permeated the meat really deep ill flip and add more chips. Cant add too many chips. Smoke it till its done after both sides cooked its bbq sauce time with smoke. Each side once at least. I also do beans pataos I did chiken a beef dogs and hamburgers last night with pineapple and chop up peppers in a foil cover pan with the pineapple juice from the can I was going to make kebobs but couldn't find the skewers. It was still pretty good. Let's just say when I cook out you dont go hungry. You may experience a slight gas build up from the onions and beans. Garenteed to clear a room.
Awesome!!! You can cook for an army, literally!!! Wish I was your neighbor!!! Keep the food line rollin my friend. Stay safe and healthy. Happy Smokin’!
I'm glad I came across your video. I love the design and the build appears very simple and straightforward. I'm going to build one myself. Thank you for sharing!
Awesome project you hit a home run. The only thing I would add are some hooks for utensils and a paper towel rack. Please post the final result with the stain applied
I experimented with the handles and honestly, the girl was not very stable resting on two handles. Excellent question though! Thank you for watching and commenting.
Great cart man. My only recommendation for staining would be to use a wood conditioner first. Pine is a softwood so it won't stain evenly like most hardwoods do. The conditioner will prepare the pine for the stain and eliminate any dark spots you might have gotten without it. Good luck.
@@xyshomavazax that's awesome. Did you build the exact same way or make changes? I would love one for our kettle and a make shift drying rack for our vegetables, but not necessarily with the cabinets, etc. Btw~ how long did it take you to build, and costs if I might ask?
@@misskriss848 Minimal cost since I used reclaimed pallet wood and plywood a friend gave me, so all I needed to buy was the casters and other hardware. I can’t remember how much time, since I worked on it in small chunks over a couple of weeks, and I’m a beginning woodworker. If I had to do it again, I’d say 4 to 6 hours, but I’m sure an experienced woodworker could do it in 3 or 4.
Well done and Inspiring! That’s a design I can work with... I received a new Weber last Father’s Day and have been thinking about making a grill table; already bought bits and pieces (ie. bottle opener (!), drawer slides and wheels) to use. I’m halfway done with my new awning, so for the next project it’s either pizza oven or the grill table… Decisions. Decisions.
Hey William, that sounds great! This was a great project and lots of fun. Check back for the staining and finishing process in a couple of months or so. Glad to hear you are going to build one - yes...the bottle opener is an important piece. LOL!!! I'm glad this video was helpful. Please let us know how yours turned out and any additional ideas you may have incorporated. Thanks for watching and subbing my channel. Wishing you the best - and as always, Happy Smokin'.
Nice job! To bad you didn't recess those door handles as they're meant to be. That's the reason why the need for different screws, but I'm sure you knew all this. I looked for the video on finishing, but seems one was never uploaded. Hope your enjoying your grill and all are healthy. Again....nice job!
Thank you Tom. I am completing the finishing video very soon. Please subscribe so you can catch the upload. Appreciate your support and kind words. Stay safe and healthy during these times. All the Best-
Nice work. I really like the idea of putting the wheels on the frame of the cart. That way I can make the cart at a height I am comfortable with. The beveling of the brackets to hold the kettle in place looks to be a great design feature. I do not have a grinder, but maybe Hardware Hank can do that for me if I buy the hardware from him :-). Putting a hook or holder on the edge of the cart for the cover is a terrific idea. The hook on the inside of a Weber Kettle works, but is a little small to be used effectively. Thanks for a great "How to" video. It is easier watch a video, than to look and study a "How to" written document. Looking forward to the staining of this project and the BOM (bill of materials). You did not demonstrate how to show the project is finished by testing out the bottle opener. :-)
Hi john - Thank you for the compliments. You could use a metal file on the brackets if you have one laying around. Hope this video was helpful. Thank you for the support!!! I dropped the ball on demonstrating the bottle opener! LMAO!!! I will do that in Part II - staining and finishing, coming soon. All the Best- Wm. Kasper (Smokin' with Kasket).

Really enjoyed putting this together. I might suggest using 1x6 boards on the top shelf to remove some weight. Looks great and works great and I've gotten a few compliments to boot.
i would prefer 2x6 because i would like to take a router and route out an area on top where i could drop in a cutting board
Great!!! this was a fun project for sure. Your suggestion is a great one with the weight issue.
You built that cart better than some home builders build houses. Looks great. Im going to build the drum smoker you made. Thanks for sharing.
Inkredable One - Wow!!! Your too kind. Thank you for the awesome comment and watching my video. You will be very happy with your drum smoker! It’s an awesome cooker. Happy Smokin’ My Friend!!
I like your design & build - the suggestions I would make are:
(1) possibly use pneumatic tires, that way this can go across the lawn a little easier, or even load onto a trailer heading to a tailgate during college football season!
Gunnr 1236 S hooks was the first thought I had. I like these ideas.
Adding flame resistant wood or paint.... You know for the people who go Oops...

Enjoyed your video, very helpful. Nice to see a dad including his son in the project and video.
Very well done Sir ! No complaints here. Outstanding work
Thank you kindly!
You made that look easy, thanks for sharing, going to attempt my own now,
Thank you for watching, commenting and hopefully subscribing. Let us know how it turned out and any ideas you have.
Warm regards!
Very nice work sir!! Very informative as well!! You make it easy for someone who’s more of a novice woodworker to follow along!!
Thank you for the Awsome comment. Much appreciated. Thank you for watching and sharing.
That was amazing. I wish I had the time, tools and talent for a project like this. Great Job!
Thanks for sharing this Kasper!
I know it's a few yrs old, but still a good one.. gAnd cool to see those old engines..
Cheers from Norway!
What a great video... You talk like an engineer, plus you have all the cool tool toys. Tim Taylor would be jealous! Thoroughly enjoyable, thank you.
It’s actually a Harbor Freight Drill!!! Chicago Electric! Even Better!!
1:14 my favorite part is the fact he got a "screw gun technician" to help get those screws into the wood.
Brandon - Yeah buddy. Young help with ambition!!! Gettin the kids involved whenever possible. Best my friend.
@Cobb Knobbler
I'm not an actor, but I do the rest of it.
I put casters on the opposite end. No lifting now. I’ll have the finished video coming soon. Thank you for watching. Stay safe.
Great video very detailed and informative. Got a question. How is the cart holding up with the heat of the grill? Also how's the wood holding up with the elements?
If all you do is wear steaks, go with metal, low temp stuff or two short steak sears are fine. Aluminum flashing might help.
Thanks
Made my own thanks to this video. Thank you for the inspiration!
AWESOME!!! Glad this was helpful for you. Appreciate you watching and commenting. Stay safe and healthy!!!
I may do something similar but with a conduit frame for my PK grill.
that was a really nice cart, gotta build me one for our weber kettle. but damn. it was 2018 and u used a corded drilldriver from like the 70's :D
That's the best laugh I've had in a while. You are so right!!! My cordless took a dump and was forced to use the corded ones. It was a ROYAL pain!!!
Use what is available . Good job. Enjoyed the video , will b making one myself after watching yours. Thanks
Awesome compliment. Thank you sooo much. Its my OCD I think - LOL.
Great video! I've been wanting to make a side table for my Weber and I love this design, thank you!
Glad this video was helpful. At least you may get an idea or two and use it on yours. Thanks for watching. Much appreciated. Let us know what you did. Happy Smokin’!!!!
Excellent. Bravo. I am inspired. Not a lot of complex joinery, just good ol' 2x4s and drywall screws.
Paul Fiorino -Yes. Keep it simple and doable for all. Fun project. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Cool man! Can’t wait for the restoration projects coming up!
Thank you my friend.
Very clear instructions. Building this next weekend. Show what the stain looks like and how well it grills.
Add some hooks for spatulas and tongs. Also a paper towel holder that would be neat
Yes - absolutely. All of the above.
Did you ever stain it yet? I've been waiting to see the finished result. I just cut the 2x4's for the frame. this weekend im putting mine together.
Coming soon. Thanks for your patience.

@@SmokinwithKasket great, thanks! What did you put under the kettle for the hot ash. I notice people use pavers or steel etc.
This model Weber has an ash pan underneath which is an excellent accessory for this application on a wooden barbecue cart.

Nice little cart there for a Kettle grill. Definitely going to give this one a whirl myself.
Fun project. Thanks for watching.
@@SmokinwithKasket I've been thinking about this to build for my new weber, good job and thanks
Great suggestion about using urethane. Thank you for watching. Appreciate your support. Happy Smokin'!!!

Great video my friend. Great looking table.
Thank you. Appreciate your comment. Hope you’ll go build one now!!! All the Best-
Looks like a really nice project.
Not bad. One thing I'd add to it
Drill holes in the legs and install some carrage bolts in the bottom of the 2x4 legs so the legs don't get chewed up by moving the cart around with the hammer in nuts you can also use them to balance the cart if its not on flat surface it will also keep water from wicking up into the legs.
I think I would have used ceder over pine
Decking materials also ceramic screws.
Doing this makes it safe outside all year.
A stain sealer will keep it looking new.
You might also consider a metal shelf under the grill in case hot embers fall out it won't catch fire.
I was thinking along these lines but welding one using bed frames I salvaged. Saving the materials from the scrap pile you can use an old appliance like a dryer side for the sheet metal or
Buy some dimond plate for it and the top this would keep the box dry to store coal and lighter fluids all year outside.

Awesome!!! You can cook for an army, literally!!! Wish I was your neighbor!!! Keep the food line rollin my friend. Stay safe and healthy. Happy Smokin’!
Great job. Now I'm inspired to convert my Weber kettle.
Go for it. Thank you for watching and supporting.
I'm glad I came across your video. I love the design and the build appears very simple and straightforward. I'm going to build one myself. Thank you for sharing!
Awesome, thank you! Please check back and let us know how you did. Thanks for watching. Please sub. if you haven't already. All the Best-
i love the cart, the only thing i would add is locking caster so that it would be easer to move and and still have it to be stationary
Done!!! I added casters after the thing hit too heavy. I will show that in my upcoming finish video. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Awesome project you hit a home run. The only thing I would add are some hooks for utensils and a paper towel rack. Please post the final result with the stain applied
Do you think the grill's handles can be used as support instead of the L brackets if I only want to go just past center and not completely surrounded.
Good luck.
That is excellent advice. I will be sure to use your suggestion. Thank you.
I'm building this for my Dad for Father's Day. Thanks!
Xyshom Avazax - Awesome. He will love this!!!
How'd it go?
@@misskriss848 Very well - he loves it!
Great work. Just wondering, 5 years later how has this held up? Did you need to make any changes or adjustments to it
Well done and Inspiring!
All the Best-
Looks amazing. Do you not need to insulate the wood, to prevent the bbq from burning the table?
Nice design, easy to follow, I made one for my kettle grill but I did make a few changes like front wheels, works good and it looks great! Thanks!
That’s great. Glad my video was helpful. Would be cool to see your finished project. Happy Smokin’ my friend!!!
Love cookin' on the ol patio daddio. It's always been lacking. Now I know why. Excellent video! And I plan on doing a UBC as in your 3 part series.
Rollin' smoke! Droolin' chops!
Thank you for watching. Hope you got some ideas to use on your cart. Appreciate your comment and support. Happy Smokin’!!!
