+Mickey Views It's actually composed by a Norwegian music producer named Thomas Bergersen, the same guy who did the soundtrack for one of the trailers for Interstellar (just look up "Final Frontier" by Thomas Bergersen). He's a phenomenal composer most famous for being the other half of Two Steps From Hell, a cinematic orchestral music producing duo, but I agree the choice doesn't fit the Starwars vibe haha
The song is called "Rebirth" though which is very appropriate for the new beginning of Starwars :D

This movie is not just any new movie is coming out. It is a revolution in the film industry. Look how far they have come with making films. They really took it up a step in making movies more enhanced and much different! Within these next couple of years, Great movies are coming out! I can NOT wait to see this movie it's going to be a moment to remember. This is only the begging!
The music at the beginning of this trailer gave Star Wars a whole different style and feel! Like an Interstellar kind of feel, which was awesome and refreshing. It really is amazing how much music can influence the style & impressions people get when watching a certain film. But of course John William will forever be the Star Wars music king.

That song is rebirth and it's by Michal Cielecki not Nick Phoenix and it was released under the name of Two Steps From Hell. One of my favorite songs of all time!!!

I´m still not convinced this movie will live up to it´s expectations. Sure, it looks good but all this has to be filled with a meaningfull story. And that´s a term I would not put in context with the name JJ Abrams. As much as I am a Star Wars fan nearly my whole live I don´t know if this will bring the magic back or if it is just going to be a movie amongst many.

The hype got drummed up large on episodes 1,2 &3 and needless to say having been a kid watching the originals on the big screen, I do have some part of me that fears that this movie could go in the same direction as those prequels. However, I am very optimistic that this one will bring back that Star Wars magic. It will feel like Star Wars again once we see the original characters.
Laurence Kazden is writing the story with him and the script if that makes you feel better.

I am not a fan of Star Wars, I never properly saw it. But it looks fresh and non -generic. If someone from film industry reads this, then - please, never be afraid of inventing new plots and break cliches, I miss good unique stories so much!..

For me the opening of this trailer is proof that without the nostalgia of Star Wars sound effects and John Williams score, the move itself doesn't look anything too special.

Star Wars Ep 7 The Force Awakens was an awesome and an exciting Star Warsmovie :) . It is a welcoming return and it was so much fun to watch it on 3D :) .
Other trailers didn't psych me up for the film. But this trailer has totally got hyped up to see the film.

The thing is Two Steps From Hell Rebirth is to me is the most recent new requiem for a dream theme. Then the orchestral music is more faithful to john williams work? they just don't match up very well. Love the hell out of two steps from hell.

Wow.. I've just watched the movie, and there is a scene in this trailer EVERYONE looked past that gave a huge spoiler to the movie. I'm a good Star Wars fan so I won't spoil it, but it's there.. And I'm shocked they actually put it in the trailer...

I think ren is Luke because if you look carefully ren has a metal hand in the clip with Rey. Also Luke liked to wear black at the end of episode 6. Third he liked to make his own lightsaber and nobody has ever had a lightsaber like Rey. Lastly Luke fights like he is swinging a baseball bat which is what Rey does. Therefore I think Luke is ren or has some relationship with him

for everyone who thinks kylo ren is luke he is not. while it is possible for luke to be a sith in the movie, though I personally think he will be a gray jedi (one who's neither sith nor jedi, follows his own rules). he isn't kylo ren because kylo actor has already been revealed. unless they had a sudden change of story, which I doubt because we would've noticed kylo's actor not working on the film anymore and it would be to much of a plot change way to soon to release.

So many unanswered questions: Who trained Kylo Ren in the force, if at the Return of Jedi, Luke is the last Jedi? Is Luke the new Sith Lord? Did he go to the DarkSide? How far will this new film deviate from the canon?Also, if the Empire was defeated at the end of The Return of the Jedi, where did all these new imperial forces come from in the future?

I can somewhat answer most of those. the empire wasnt necessarily defeated, you can't defeat an idea, a religion almost as it is. They took a very big hit, losing their main HQ and both of their leaders. But there was still remnants of them, and other people followed the empire. Citizens would sometimes want to join or help the empire, so it took a long time for them to rebuild. For the question about the master, you don't really need a master to become a sith, jedi, or gray jedi. A master is preferred because it teaches them what their sides rules are and helps them hone in on the skills and learn faster. The force is a power everybody in the starwars universe has, even Droids have it. But it's hard to harness and only those with the will strong enough to do it can, Droids being robots can't tap into the force because they are 1, to focused on following orders to have the will to learn or 2, because it's nearly impossible for them to even get it, they only reason they have it is because they are sentient, but their lack of an organic body makes it harder. Some people even learn how to use the force without even trying, they are naturally experts at it. These people are called force-sensitives, people who could harness the force without anyone helping or training them. Though they were usually more prone to becoming fallen jedi and tapping into the dark side. some examples of force-sensitives were anakin, starkiller aka Galen Marek, and even Yoda himself. though Yoda had spent many years focusing his mind and trapping his dark side deep within making it so he never had a thought of turning.

Guys, what's the track name, the one that seems like it was made by an independent artist or group? Oh and I just saw this film. Luke WILL be there, be patient. And disregard everything you know that's not from the clone wars animations, prequel and sequel trilogies cause they're no longer canon. That includes some characters and events (like the Yuuzhan Vong War). Just consider this the continuation of episode VI and nothing else. Oh and, uh, prepare to get your heart broken, possibly in a way you didn't see coming. Other than that. Enjoy the film. IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT AND THE HYPE.

Han Solo dies by his son Kylo Ren whos real name is Ben Solo. Rey finds out she is a force sensitive and finds luke's lightsaber and she meets up with him at the end of the movie on an island. Supreme leader Snoke is around 30 feet tall and not much is known about him. Kylo Ren used to be Luke's apprentice and then turned to the dark side. The starkiller base is destoryed by a thermal oscillator that gets destroyed by Poe the X-wing fighter pilot. Oh and Fin gets knocked into a coma.

1:03 is when it should have stopped. It just became bad afterwards but still better than episode VI trailer.
Han Solo dies by kylo Ren on a bridge inside a ship and the black dude is a former storm trooper that hates the first order and ends up going into a coma or something from being stabbed by kylo Ren. The girl kills Ren and she goes on to find Luke on a mountain top which shows her giving him the blue lightsaber that belonged to him. The girl is also known with the force. She uses it only once though by getting a storm trooper to let her out of a restraint chair.
By this time next week I will finally have seen this movie...don't let me down J.J.!!
