I’d like to see them have a two on one fight with Salem. Hopefully, she’ll do more actual fighting in the next volume than just standing on her perch on top of a whale Grimm.
I love how when Blake cut the train off at the beginning, they make her look kinda sad which i think because this action reminded her about the past when she cut off the train and left Adam behind in the Black Trailer

I still don't believe everything they've done /should/ allow them to beat ace ops for one key reason. They aren't fighting grim when they battle ace ops. They are fighting huntsman will experience similar to theirs but supplimenres by rigorous military training as well. That fighting experience has a limit of practicality. If you fight professional boxers only your entire life and suddenly fight somone versed in Kenpo, or muay thai, or Wing Chun, that experience fighting boxers only does you so much.
But ace ops are the best huntsman. They are still high school students. They were still in the first year 3 volumes ago. Blake never trained because she was in menagerie for the last 2 volumes. Somehow Weiss and Ruby can win a 1v1 with Harriet and marrow. I guess they could just beat anyone in atlas now.
Not to mention those ape Grimm with wings that Salem made at the end of this volume. Those flying bastards are going to be savage and incredibly mobile.

Daniel Perez I don’t know that he faces misfortune to himself, but instead misfortune to those around him without distinguishing friend from foe. Of course when he is the key ally of said people it would sure be unlucky for them if he were to be severely injured ( ala season 4 ).
That being said, I could see that. I think his semblance might also have caused the Manticore to have the rotten luck of having managed to derail half a train in his final act and still deliver permanent injuries to absolutely no one.
Possibly... it is stated that Qrow’s misfortune affects everyone around him. But is it THAT dangerous? Maybe not. Qrow has stated that he can keep control of his semblance most of the time and predicts the outcome, but he cant do it all the time. Makes you wonder sometimes.
i love the fact that when the sphinx was fighting qrow , it's tail's snake head was acting on its own , but when the girls attacked it it basically became a normal tail
This fight proves that they can work wonders with the Maya animation engine if they just work hard to make a good choreography. I keep coming back to this fight as often as I revisit the old Monty fights. This volume in general had incredible fights, with Maria versus Nevermore and Tock, Blake and Yang versus Adam and Neo versus Cinder.
I just fucking noticed that when the lyrics go, "or is it made of lies" Oscar, who has Oz in him, is the one on the screen and we later discover that Ozpin had still been lying to everyone.
well in that situation they were heading towards the end of the tunnel where there was no opening at the end so she needed to protect her team, not ground them lol. in this instant they were heading off the track so it was a smarter decision to ground them so they wouldn't fall off.
Her glyphs can do different things on surfaces. White glyphs seem to help propel or push things ( when she's skating along or when she helps ruby run up walls). The black glyphs help pull things or grasp on to surfaces ( when she makes everyone stick to the train or when she's fighting the Lancers while she's in that small plane.)
That big Grimm is more like a sphinx with the other grimm bing the manticore grimm, seeing as manticores are lions with the tail of a scorpion, body of a lion and wings, more commonly batwings. That big grimm at the end didn't have a scorpion tail and had less spikes on the mask and a slightly more humanoid face compared to the others.
I miss when Red Like Roses part 1 said that Black was the Beast descending from shadows, while Yellow Beauty burned gold, foreshadowing a romance between them before the show even started
She used Gravity Dust with her Glyphs, in order to anchor everyone to the top of the train. That way, when it derailed, they were not thrown off and injured - they stayed in place. Like a magical seatbelt
As cool as the double scythe spin scene was I still gotta say say the fight scenes are still kinda stagnant and slow, you go from a girl (Ruby) in season's 1-3 who can do crazy spins, lifts, and quick shots with her scythe to this... Don't get it twisted thought, it's good, but it's not great...compared to the standing this show had for it's crazy fight scenes... so don't come hurling your fanboy/fangirl-ism please. Cause I don't watch this show anymore, I was just curious of the fight scenes...

@@ringo1017 incomplete, yes. but the part that was completed, some of Adam's movements that have the sweeping, fluid, and characteristic look to them, that's the part most people really loved in the fights when they first saw RWBY, and the part some people say is lacking from today's fight animations
Never said he was the worst fighter. There are plenty other times Qrow has one shoted a Grimm, like the time he split a griffin in half in volume 3 and that thing was arguably the same size as a manticore. He’s still much farther ahead form the students, he just isn’t as powerful as he was in volume 3 and 4
It's too bad that the Manticoress (Manticore Queen) was a Creature of Grimm and was only looking to destroy a train full of passengers heading to Mantel. She was a beautiful creature. It would have been nice to have her be an actual animal or cryptid in the world of Remnant.

So much so that cinder's group panic when they realise he's at beacon. But recenly at least for me its like he's downgraded. I said buff as in let him have his moment when he's figthing. Aside from figthing tyryn(sry) i haven't seen crow being displayed as a great figther and escaper (which i assume he would be skilled at given his job as the sole informer of ozz)

Making decent fight scenes does not equal passion, especially when they've been failing in every other aspect of the story telling process as of late.
Perhaps their passion is dying with the occasional renewed good bursts due to a friend who was a part in creating Rwby die.
