Pretty sure she has racked up the highest number of saves up until this point. If you counted assists with her glyphs, she is pretty much the reason why most of them are still alive. Since the first episode she's routinely saved people so it seems to be a defining character trait, even if that might not be intentional by the writers.
@H K She has been my favorite character since Volume 2 and was my second favorite in Volume 1, both for subjective reasons such as me liking her character overall as well as just being objectively one of the best written characters in the series (although that has seemed to have changed in later volumes).
It's great to me seeing how the girl who had the idea to decapitate a nevermore via a slingshot and a scythe grew into the girl who yeets herself into the arm of a cannon to blow it up.
I love how Ren actually listened to Ruby. He made the active choice to go behind the mech when he could have been on top of it. He humored her suggestion.
Either it improved that much or the writers didn’t have much of an explanation for that? Stepping on those frozen water platform is okay since it was elevated? But that one huge wave though... I thought it would act like the wave Elsa froze. It broke up fast.
@@shinkurea1084 Weiss' stamina has been visibly improving over time, the fight with Cordova just made it super clear because we saw more of what she did between start and tired drop.

The funny thing? Cordovin was voiced by Mela Lee, the english voice actor for Tikki in Miraculous. Hearing Tikki lose her kwagatamas over a stolen plane in a deeper voice is just... funny and shocking at the same time.

I believe it's most likely about what happened to Summer Rose, and when you look at it, Qrow doesn't want to lose Ruby, like he already lost Summer, and considering his theme music, that implies that something happened to Summer, due to his failed to save Summer because of his semblance.

Maybe during team strq mission qrow used his semblance and summer got hurt saving them and so qrow decided to never use it again and seeing Ruby act just like her mother brought back that painful memory. The implications of that are actually really horrifying, because Ren experienced loss with one member of his team, and he had just had that talk with Jaune. For a second there it probably looked to him that he was about to lose not just Nora but the fractured rest of his team. Which is actually really horrifyingly depressing. Which in turn also makes 7:01 a lot more heartwarming

In theory almost everyone could of died, Ruby, yang, and blake are one of those but as well as Maria and Oscar because is Ozpin didn’t take control the ship would of not of landed and probably would’ve exploded.
The look on Ruby's face when Cordovin aims the cannon at her after clearly telling the truth. "Sorry lady! But you made me do this! You'll only have yourself to blame" and proceeds to destroy the arm.
Does anyone else love Ruby's little hand wave when she see's Cordovin in the cockpit. Its just so cute :) Weiss is improving so much, why does everyone think she's terrible? I like Kara's reason from the Death Battle cast podcast, Being a Schnee she tries way to hard to be perfect that she doesn't get in the flow of the battle and forgets that she doesn't have to do things alone. But now she's getting better.
6:03 this is the moment where it was made where Jaune Arc became my favorite character in RWBY. Before it was Qrow, but he started to regress back into an alchoholic baby (with good reason but still). The entire period of the show, I liked Jaune. He was like Captain America before the Super Serum, Peter Parker before the Spider hits; a total wannabe trying to become something more. With basically no training and no real plan other than Forge Transcripts, Attend Beacon, Profit, jumps ship to what amounts to a high end military academy with forged transcripts and his ancestor’s weapons. What made me respect him after all that was the fact he, with no training or experience, saw what was going to be his future teammates fighting a giant scorpion monster and thought to himself, ‘I sure wish I could make this jump so I could help those two people I just met fight a giant scorpion." That's one of the first things he does in the show, and I don't think he gets enough credit for it. Sure, no one really batted an eye at having to fight the giant Grimm, but everyone else there was trained. Jaune wasn't. Jaune was just a regular guy facing monsters for the first time (as far as we know). I kind of want to highlight that aspect of him. That this is something Jaune really, really wants, and a little mortal danger is not going to deter him. Plus, the guy’s Semblance is like ultimate hacks. Seriously, amplifying the effects of that aura (all the effects: self-healing, defensive ‘force-field’, extrasensory perception, climate protection etc.) produces is insane! We just saw him save Nora’s life with his ability and in the previous volume, save Weiss’ life! Sure, the downside of his ability is using his own aura as cost, but he’s practically the White Mage/Paladin, and no one fucks with the White Mage. All in all, while many people don’t like Jaune or outright hate him, I think that he’s one of the best characters this show has to offer. Plus, that scene of him with the statue and his team really helped cement that image of his character being a good one into me.
Jaune Arc will always be my favorite RWBY character. Despite that, I hate how they've handled him. It's getting a little better, but not enough to save the series for me.
Finally someone who isn't shitting on him! The dude isn't bad and he does have some reason to be mad when things happen. He is the guy with the plan but unlike Ruby his plans are basic and simple. Ruby's are more....wild and fun. He is not part of the main cast but at the end of the day the show is called RWBY I just hope one day we can see him truly fight someone to see his grown.
I was never a fan of jaune but gotta give it to em because they made a great job with this volume especially with the way they cemented TEAM JNPR as a whole. Alot of people shits on jaune mainly because he was too cliche, generic and predictable at the beggining of the series then add in the horrible character development of the past volumes. Jaune could be a great character if he was properly handled on the early volumes.

To this day it still amazes me that despite being down for a while after the deed was done, Jaune was able tank a hit from a mecha while simultaneously giving up half his aura in a split second. The boy has come a long way.

I love that one line in Big Metal Shoe, "Mirror, Mirror, who will lose it all?" Such a good song. Can't wait for the full version. But, also, I'm 100% Maximum Hyped for Weiss's upcoming arc. Now that we're done with Yang and Blake's side-story, I'm so ready for some Weiss and Ruby shine + new music.
Tbh is annoying to me, I preffer the Vol 1 voice, it wasn't a "anime-like" voice, it was a normal teen voice, and you can take it seriously. I can't take seriously the current voice, especially at the end of Vol 4, where you supposed to take it serious.
That's so sad, the only romance in RWBY that can be considered good and all we had in 3 volumes since they became a couple is a dumb line... Is it that difficult to animate them holding hands or kissing sometimes? It's not that hard

But since the writers are so bad that the best we had this Volume was Bumblebee... Guess you're right, it's better if they forget about developing stuff. Hope they drop Bumblebee just like they dropped Renora. It's useless anyway to focus on ships since RWBY would have so much more to offer. Maybe they should have dropped RWBY after Volume 3, it only got kept getting worst from there...

The more it goes on the worst it gets, I dropped it after volume 6 cause that was the last chance I was going to give to this show, it started good, but felt useless, and finished in a bland and even less interesting way, left me with no one to look for in Volume 7 that could interest me, I'll keep an eye out to see if Tyrian or Mercury will do something again, they are the only two interesting ones to me, but I'm not gonna follow the plot and the main cast, just checking on the fights, hoping to find something decent
@@SifGreyfang - Because he doesn't... well... he doesn't know how to fight. He's had training but Juane is _years_ behind everyone in terms of technique. He's a peasant in super-armor going up against elite soldiers who don;t need that kin of protection, frankly, he should be _dead_ by now, and the fact that he's not shows his potential. Honestly the dude needs a good timeskip in the story to train non-stop. I bet if he was a good or even competent fighter he's be the best in the group.
Love what this comment section has to offer, lot of speculation, lot of theories. The part I loved was Qrow trusting Ruby and in the end resulting in a triumph. What a parent Qrow is, I love it. Their relationships are both so wholesome and loving. The story, the relationships, the characters, the plot, and the fighting scenes makes this such a good series to watch. Also I love that Nora said "You get back here with my man!" The ship must sail
The care that Ren shows to his team in this scene is so precious. He really cares about them and loves them and RT didn’t hesitate to show it right here. When he screamed “no!” for Jaune and Nora when they got hit and came back he sounded so happy/relieved that they were okay. Ren usually doesn’t speak or show what he’s feeling but this part hit me in the feels man.
I'm really glad the giant robot presented an actual challenge that took multiple episodes to overcome (and even then the opposing team couldn't completely disable it), rather than getting swept aside like its smaller brethren.
She may have only been doing her job, but maybe if her first reaction to them stealing her stuff wasn't "throw a giant robot at it." Maybe this whole fight could have gone differently.
True. But drama... Both sides had something they needed to do and based on their own information were justified in doing so. Both went about it the wrong way. So together everything nearly got screwed up.

You can see how terrified Qrow is every time Ruby is in danger it just shows that as much as Ruby idolizes him he cares just as much for her you can see he does care about the other kids but sense he appeared in the show I’ve never seen him as concerned about the others as he is for Ruby I’m sure he cares for Yang a lot to but I’ve never seen him quite as scared for her as he was for Ruby in just this small clip. I mean Ruby is in some ways part of the reason he stopped drinking.

And having seen genlock.... Great premise good cgi. Decent story for the First half. However It crammed so damn much into 8 episodes. The story felt rushed as hell.
This has been my absolute favorite fight from the recent volumes, it's so good- AND THE MUSIC! WOW! And you can't tell me that at 9:45, Qrow was having a flashback of Summer when Ruby told him to trust her, that face says it all.
Cordovin is genuinely one of my favourite RWBY villains. She's comedic and over the top, a lot like Torchwick but clearly has a dark side to her personality as reflected through her excessive jingoism, anti-Faunus attitudes and enthusiasm for violence. She's dangerous and has vast resources at her disposal. She has a clear motivation unlike a lot of the other villains and fulfils her role almost perfectly. In my opinion.

Someone on the animation team was excited to get to gen:LOCK. Anyway this was a pretty fun fight with some interesting set-pieces like Ruby running on a missile like Sonic the Hedgehog, that shit was cool. I don’t remember who said this fight wasn’t memorable enough, but fuck ‘em.
Cinder Fall oh yeah, that douchbag. Someone posted his tweet to a Discord server, and I’m convinced he doesn’t like RWBY. I’m not saying you have to suck RWBY off, but when you’re such a buzz kill every week I start to question why you’re even “invested” in the series to begin with.
Vexed Viewer is one of the better RWBY critics out there. He gives credit where credit is due and points out flaws as well. Thing is...He does get his personal feelings stand in the way unnecessarily sometimes

I’m a little late, but I can’t help but remember the battle with Cinder. Jaune was talking about how he was willing to die and all that, but what was Cinder going to do? Stab him for an hour until his aura breaks? Maybe it wasn’t as suicidal as people make it out to be considering how long it would actually take to hurt him. He would certainly get knocked around more, but everyone else would be able to interfere before any actual harm happened. This would also mean that Ruby’s little freak out with silver eyes didn’t need to happen. It only triggered because she was worried for his safety and clearly, he wasn’t in any real danger yet.
The fact that jaune tanked a fucming slap from a giant ass metal hand that probably weighs a few tons and was conscious and his aura didn't brake is wild

@6:34. I really hate inconsistencies. Right back in episode S1#1 she is able to ride her weapon up multiple stories of building. And she can go rose speed form and not care about the ground at all. So there should be zero-drama about her being stuck in the middle of a cliff.

Maybe during team strq mission qrow used his semblance and summer got hurt saving them and so qrow decided to never use it again and seeing Ruby act just like her mother brought back that painful memory. 6:03 this is the moment where it was made where Jaune Arc became my favorite character in RWBY.
Before it was Qrow, but he started to regress back into an alchoholic baby (with good reason but still). The entire period of the show, I liked Jaune. He was like Captain America before the Super Serum, Peter Parker before the Spider hits; a total wannabe trying to become something more. With basically no training and no real plan other than Forge Transcripts, Attend Beacon, Profit, jumps ship to what amounts to a high end military academy with forged transcripts and his ancestor’s weapons.
What made me respect him after all that was the fact he, with no training or experience, saw what was going to be his future teammates fighting a giant scorpion monster and thought to himself, ‘I sure wish I could make this jump so I could help those two people I just met fight a giant scorpion."
That's one of the first things he does in the show, and I don't think he gets enough credit for it. Sure, no one really batted an eye at having to fight the giant Grimm, but everyone else there was trained. Jaune wasn't. Jaune was just a regular guy facing monsters for the first time (as far as we know). I kind of want to highlight that aspect of him. That this is something Jaune really, really wants, and a little mortal danger is not going to deter him. Plus, the guy’s Semblance is like ultimate hacks.
Seriously, amplifying the effects of that aura (all the effects: self-healing, defensive ‘force-field’, extrasensory perception, climate protection etc.) produces is insane! We just saw him save Nora’s life with his ability and in the previous volume, save Weiss’ life! Sure, the downside of his ability is using his own aura as cost, but he’s practically the White Mage/Paladin, and no one fucks with the White Mage.
All in all, while many people don’t like Jaune or outright hate him, I think that he’s one of the best characters this show has to offer. Plus, that scene of him with the statue and his team really helped cement that image of his character being a good one into me.
That’s because it’s the writers’ character he’s Supposed to be the best not team RWBY
Jaune Arc will always be my favorite RWBY character. Despite that, I hate how they've handled him. It's getting a little better, but not enough to save the series for me.

Finally someone who isn't shitting on him! The dude isn't bad and he does have some reason to be mad when things happen. He is the guy with the plan but unlike Ruby his plans are basic and simple. Ruby's are more....wild and fun. He is not part of the main cast but at the end of the day the show is called RWBY I just hope one day we can see him truly fight someone to see his grown.
I was never a fan of jaune but gotta give it to em because they made a great job with this volume especially with the way they cemented TEAM JNPR as a whole. Alot of people shits on jaune mainly because he was too cliche, generic and predictable at the beggining of the series then add in the horrible character development of the past volumes. Jaune could be a great character if he was properly handled on the early volumes.
I love that small part of ''Bad Luck Charm'' that played when Qrow attacked the Mecha's back.

But since the writers are so bad that the best we had this Volume was Bumblebee... Guess you're right, it's better if they forget about developing stuff. Hope they drop Bumblebee just like they dropped Renora. It's useless anyway to focus on ships since RWBY would have so much more to offer. Maybe they should have dropped RWBY after Volume 3, it only got kept getting worst from there...

Love what this comment section has to offer, lot of speculation, lot of theories. The part I loved was Qrow trusting Ruby and in the end resulting in a triumph. What a parent Qrow is, I love it. Their relationships are both so wholesome and loving. The story, the relationships, the characters, the plot, and the fighting scenes makes this such a good series to watch.

The care that Ren shows to his team in this scene is so precious. He really cares about them and loves them and RT didn’t hesitate to show it right here. When he screamed “no!” for Jaune and Nora when they got hit and came back he sounded so happy/relieved that they were okay. Ren usually doesn’t speak or show what he’s feeling but this part hit me in the feels man.

I'm really glad the giant robot presented an actual challenge that took multiple episodes to overcome (and even then the opposing team couldn't completely disable it), rather than getting swept aside like its smaller brethren.

You can see how terrified Qrow is every time Ruby is in danger it just shows that as much as Ruby idolizes him he cares just as much for her you can see he does care about the other kids but sense he appeared in the show I’ve never seen him as concerned about the others as he is for Ruby I’m sure he cares for Yang a lot to but I’ve never seen him quite as scared for her as he was for Ruby in just this small clip.

This has been my absolute favorite fight from the recent volumes, it's so good- AND THE MUSIC! WOW!
And you can't tell me that at 9:45, Qrow was having a flashback of Summer when Ruby told him to trust her, that face says it all.
Cordovin is genuinely one of my favourite RWBY villains. She's comedic and over the top, a lot like Torchwick but clearly has a dark side to her personality as reflected through her excessive jingoism, anti-Faunus attitudes and enthusiasm for violence. She's dangerous and has vast resources at her disposal. She has a clear motivation unlike a lot of the other villains and fulfils her role almost perfectly. In my opinion.

I’m a little late, but I can’t help but remember the battle with Cinder.
Jaune was talking about how he was willing to die and all that, but what was Cinder going to do? Stab him for an hour until his aura breaks?
Maybe it wasn’t as suicidal as people make it out to be considering how long it would actually take to hurt him.
He would certainly get knocked around more, but everyone else would be able to interfere before any actual harm happened.
This would also mean that Ruby’s little freak out with silver eyes didn’t need to happen. It only triggered because she was worried for his safety and clearly, he wasn’t in any real danger yet.
