    1. Team RWBY has had to deal with shit like Cinder right from when they were still at school. Circumstances forced them to run the learning curve much faster than usual. They are miles ahead of other people with the same amount of time of experience.
    2. Ace Ops described themselves as:
    a. Not needing to think about their liabilities since the team was build like a chain to offset each other's weaknesses. There was a ring missing in that chain right here.
    b. Too ready to obey orders. You'd think that makes them too dependant on command, which sucks if your leader is absent.
    3. They were also not in an agreement on how to proceed with the situation (they probably assumed team RWBY wouldn't dare confront them and didn't have time to think it through and had to play it by ear).

Ruby actually did something smart here. She knew that Harriet was faster than the rest of RWBY and she must have realised that she (Harriet) couldn’t risk letting Ruby go since she’s too slippery. Because of this, Harriet had to follow her, resulting in a battle that singled out Harriet from the rest of the Ace Ops and would have lasted longer seeing as Harriet was somewhat faster than Ruby. This allowed the other fights to finish which also allowed the rest of RWBY to come to her aid.

    • @samuelleonard7023

Not only that but Ruby plays defensive, when they are alone in the big room Ruby is basically standing still while Harriet is running about. She was making her tired without Harriet even realising. Even before she sprints at Ruby and Weiss uses ice to block her, Harriet was panting showing that she was getting tired during the fight.

Ruby’s the leader for a reason. She can assess the situation at hand and make a good counterstroke plan to deal with the issue. She knew the Ace Ops are professional that use their semblances & abilities compliment each other and that Harriet’s was the most threatening therefore she enraged her and 1v1’d her so she wouldn’t take out any other members of team RWBY, who wouldn’t fair well against her speed other than Ruby.

On the other hand, Harriet moves at speeds fast enough to not be seen and, in order to do that, you’d have to be moving at a speed of 38146 miles per hour. That’s 61390.036 kilometres per hour.

I don't see why everyone judges this fight. To me, it seems like, although Ace Ops are far more experienced, they're pretty much just coworkers, so not having their good luck charm with them in addition to being at each other's necks the entire time during an emotional situation makes it very believable that they would lose this. I'd also like to point out that they mainly deal in Grimm hunting, so they're not really used to fighting opponents with the same level of intellect as them.

Honestly Atlas Hunters and Huntresses shouldn't even be called that because they're more soldiers real Hunters can think for themselves and follow the code to protect people from the Grimm but Atlas Hunters always had a written agenda.

You can tell that despite the ace ops being more skilled, team rwby knew what they were doing.
Ruby played with harriets emotions by saying “you were and then you trained us” and separated her by flying out of the room and getting Harriet to go after her. Harriet could have stayed in the room making it 4v3 for a few seconds which could have been enough time to detain Weiss Blake and yang. Then it’s 4v1 against ruby. That’s a stretch but other reasons are listed below
Yang played with elms emotions by saying “they’re just following orders” elm literally had Blake in her arms and could have tied her up but she instead threw Blake at the wall and went for yang
Yang and Blake knew that vine was going for capture and not aura break. They used this to their advantage by using yangs explosives and Blake’s shadow clones. They knew that vine would grab “Blake” instead of hit her so they had him grab an explosive shadow clone
Yang broke the floor to make elms semblance useless
Marrow didn’t even want to fight anyone he was definitely holding back against Weiss but I mean she was good too she did her own freezer burn and using her summoned knight to pretty much make marrows “stay” useless since he didn’t freeze them both at the same time
Ruby got Harriet so upset that she didn’t even notice her teammates get defeated except come and she also didn’t notice Weiss enter the room so she ran at ruby and Weiss made the wall which was honestly hilarious

The Ace Ops might be a little bit more skilled than RWBY but RWBY was fighting as a team even while physically separated and were far more tactical. Meanwhile the Ace Ops were bickering and fighting against each other as much as they were team RWBY. And they didn't even try to handle RWBY tactically, instead they just paired up and tried to beat each member into submission. All of the major beats where RWBY gains ground are the result of either clever tactics, teamwork, or both. I still personally prefer Blake and Yang vs Adam because of the massive character development but this is one of the best fights in the show.

    • @icecold10001
      @icecold10001 3 года назад

I appreciate your essay but I’m going to have to disagree. Ruby leaving the room tactically was a terrible idea. Had Harriet stayed her team would’ve been at a disadvantage and no leader would EVER intentionally disadvantage their team. The idea of Ruby using a scythe is badass until it comes time to fight someone. Ruby is TERRIBLE at hand to hand and its literally Hare’s specialty and we’ve seen how devastating a hit can be from her. So Harriet wins on paper and in practice and if you doubt that, even with handcuffs on she was offensively overwhelming Ruby.
Blake takes WAY too many direct hits from Elm for her aura not to break. Why slow down the impact when Elm caught her weapon and literally smashed her dozens of feet into the air if Blake is going to continue fighting like all of her ribs arent broken. Especially when one hit takes out both Vine AND Elm. And if you want to argue Yang’s semblance did most of the work on Elm, we see Yang take one hit. Just one.
Weiss is literally trying to kill Marrow. Ice shards sharp enough to penetrate the ground will definitely penetrate flesh and bone. Him and Harriet duck a swipe clearly aiming to decapitate them and then he dodges a vertical strike from a 20ft sword like come on guys? Aura or not Marrow is dead. And speaking of, we’ve seen Marrow Stay 3 Ace Ops at once all of which physically bigger and stronger than Blake, Weiss and Yang, long enough to LEISURELY detain them so Ruby leaving the room, again, terrible idea, terrible writing.
As far as emotional manipulation, why would Ruby try to appeal to Harriet if initially she wanted to rile her up to make her make mistakes? Vine is the clear choice to appeal to. And the way Ruby just throws Harriet on her face after the fight? Is that how you treat someone who trained you? Is that how we want our heroes to treat defeated former friends? Neither Yang nor Blake nor Weiss make any attempt to make peace. They simply write off the Ace Ops as soon as they aren’t of use.
Lastly, the cuffs dont stop semblances so IF they left with the Ace Ops and didn’t like what Ironwood was planning, Ruby can remove them at the most opportune time and they can leave.

    • @nathanosworth4640
      @nathanosworth4640 2 года назад +3

@@icecold10001 There are a few things that have happened in the series that can properly explain a few of those:
For Ruby leaving the room, she knew that Harriet would HAVE to follow: if she didn't, then chances are Ruby could have escaped....and Harriet was the only one among the AceOps that could keep up and catch her. She knew she couldn't keep up with Harriet OR beat her, but after seeing Vine go down from Yang and Blake, she knew that it was only a matter of time before she got help....so it was a question of staying out of Harriet's immediate range, keep from being cuffed, and hold out until the cavalry arrived.
As for Blake and her endurance, from all the fighting she did in the past (especially against her crazy ex -totally saying he acted like that, I can't see it otherwise) her Aura probably grew a lot stronger and more durable to be able to tank hits such as that; we've seen how nimble Vine is, so his Aura was probably not used to taking hits (plus he uses his Semblance almost constantly, so that's constantly being eaten away as well even if just a bit); as for Elm, she definitely took a lot of hits, during the initial start when Yang forced her into the pavilion, strong or otherwise. There's also room to judge between the shifts in everyone's own fight.
Weiss's own Semblance allows her to use Dust for her attacks, mainly concentrated Dust: much stronger yet harder to control overall. Aura are able to handle the brunt of it, not to mention flat-out explosions to the face (as seen when Tyrian caught a bomb arrow in his teeth when Robyn shot it, and he remained fine because he still had some of his Aura left) so chances are it wouldn't have done as much damage as it probably would on someone without an Aura. I can't truly explain why Weiss chose to be so brutal, but as to why Marrow didn't try to use his Semblance on both is pretty simple: he can stop multiple people at once with his "Stay" (as shown when he stops a massive crowd a while back) but ONLY if he's able to face in their direction; he was being attacked at multiple sides, Weiss with her glyphs on one, and her guardian by another. She's seen it in action, so she had to make sure he had a contingency in case he started using it, otherwise she was going to be caught herself.
I can't truly say much else for the other things you mentioned, however for the ones you have, these are my argument. I won't say if it's true or not, that's just my own theory behind it. Though I will say, having read your own theories, it gave rise to mine so thank you for the chance to think on something like this~

Unpopular opinion but if you pay close attention to the scene at the end where Harriet prepares to make her final charge, you can see that Ruby had fully prepared her scythe and was ready to take it head on. I point that out because, if you think of it one way, Weiss may have saved Harriet with her ice wall instead of Ruby. The force of Harriet's charge, plus the positioning of Ruby's scythe (and possible gunshot-enhanced force of her swing) could of equalled this unlucky rabbit getting accidentally bisected.

Hmmm.. I've seen a lot of complaints lately on this fight, about how Team RWBY was able to beat Ace Ops. The thing though, is, it's only natural that this is the outcome if you consider these following points:
1.) Bad Match-ups for the Ace Ops -- If you consider the match-ups in this fight, you'll quickly notice that Team RWBY chose their opponents such that they were the best counters against the respective Ace Op. Ruby took Harriet because she could counter her speed semblance; Weiss took Marrow because using her summoning, she can counter his semblance; and lastly Blake and Yang have the best teamwork against Elm and Vine.
2.) Divided -- Clover was their leader and one of the most important parts of the group. The Ace Ops were specially picked to work with each other, right? In this current scenario, not only were each members separated, limiting their teamwork (which is their greatest asset, mind you) but their leader was nowhere to be found. Of course they're not gonna be as effective. Not only that but a lot of the Ace Ops had differing opinions on what to do -- Harriet and Elm are angry and want to fight back but Marrow and Vine both want to take a more peaceful route. They were clearly not united.
3.) Experience -- Yes, Ace Ops have been professional huntsmen longer but Team RWBY have been basically the same level as a normal huntsman for a long time already, maybe all the way back to V4/5. Not to mention they also have a lot of experience with different fighters, semblances, and environments that they are able to adapt quicker to different circumstances as a result of traveling through 2 separate continents until reaching Atlas while Ace Ops have just kinda been stuck in Atlas for a long time. I don't know if RWBY has more experience per se, but they have at least slightly less experience than Ace Ops.
Also it's not like RWBY was still vastly stronger against Ace Ops. Ruby clearly never had the advantage in the fight. Sure, she was able to handicap Harriet but she was still on the defensive for a vast majority of the fight until Weiss showed up. For the Weiss fight, her semblance was just the perfect counter for Marrow's so it makes a lot of sense she was able to beat him, plus the fact that Marrow wasn't really planning to actually "beat" her, he was holding back.
Lastly, if we were to analyze the BY vs EV fight, Blake and Yang were clearly disadvantaged in the beginning. They were only able to really fight back when they first focused on Vine, 2v1ing him. They knew that he was more for peace, so he would be more likely to restrain than actually hurt -- this, of course, was used by BY to trick Vine and blow his face up. After that it was a 2v1 against Elm, and with Elm's semblance being effectively nullified by the broken floor, BY had a much easier time dealing with her.

By the time RWBY had established that they weren't going down without a fight, and Marrow had made his mind to fight them, Ruby already flew away and WBY have started splitting up.
Besides, Weiss can counter Marrow's ability with time dilation and propulsion glyphs. Even if Weiss is frozen, it has been shown that the effects of her semblance have a sentience of their own. So if Weiss is frozen, she can still move around by conjuring a glyph on her feet that will throw her around.

I believe one of the huge reasons on why Ace Ops lost so fantastically because unlike RWBY, they’re not friends. I once thought the fight was bullshit, but upon looking over Volume 7 again this was actually well thought out. The battle wasn't a matter of plot armor or experience, I believe it was skill sets. Let's break it down.
    Ruby vs. Harriet:
In terms of speed, they're evenly matched. However, Ruby is a mid-to-long range fighter and their battle was in a closed area. She may have received some hand-to-hand combat training but she's peanuts in comparison to Harriet and her silver eyes only work on Grimm. Harriet actually had an advantage over Ruby, so Harriet would be the clear winner. However, the fight also shows that Ruby hadn't attempted an attack on Harriet besides immobilizing her arms. Given that Harriet has a hot temper and a competitive streak, she wore herself out trying to beat down Ruby. If it wasn't for Weiss, Ruby would've exhausted Harriet instead.
    Weiss vs. Marrow:
...Not really much to say about this. It was pretty one-sided. Marrow didn't have the versatile arsenal Weiss had, and his Time Stop could only work on one opponent each, and the Arma Gigas could clearly move even if Weiss had been frozen. Let's remember that Marrow usually needs one of his teammates to follow up on his Time Stop.
Yang & Blake vs. Vine and Elm:
This one's a tad bit trickier. Taking a look at Vine, he's more of a support teammate and he was clearly backing up Elm and keeping distance. Elm's a tank. Can dish out just as much as she can take, but her semblance suggests that she acts as the immovable object, stand her ground. However, without that ground - as presented in the fight - she's vulnerable, and Vine can only do so much damage on his own.
Now Yang, on the other hand, is both heavy-hitting, fast and is definitely the better hand-to-hand expert than her opponents. With the addition of the new-found control of her semblance, she's the most threatening combatant. Blake's stance in the fight is similar to Vine as a support, but as a former-White Fang member, she's second to Weiss in agility (granted Weiss hasn't shown that agility in a while).
Now teamwork... Vine and Elm should definitely be superior in teamwork, but the relationship between Yang and Blake doesn't mean they're better either. Honestly, this part came to chance. But when Vine was taken out, Elm was doomed to fail.
Now I'm gonna quote something from Clover. "Ace-Ops are handpicked to perfectly complement one another. So we can focus on our assets and leave our liabilities behind."
This suggests that the Ace-Ops are superior as a TEAM. For example, Marrow needs someone (Harriet) to follow up with his semblance. Elm temporarily stabilizes herself to take the hits while another attack.
Meaning that if Harriet hadn't rushed off to battle Ruby alone, and if Vine and Elm didn't leave Marrow behind with Weiss. Their chances of victory would've been higher because (SPOILERS) during the Penny vs. Ace-Ops fight, they did much better than against RWBY. Albeit Penny wasn't fully realized Maiden, but Penny on her own is still a powerhouse, and Marrow did state that they were holding back before - and by that he means he and Vine held back while Elm was being emotional and Harriet being too prideful.
So to summarise: By Ruby leading Harriet away from her team, the Ace-Ops dynamic actually fell apart. That's actually some good battle prowess from Little Red.

A minor comment, Marrow has actually demonstrated the use of his semblance on more than one target (in the aftermath of the election attack). While I do agree with most of what you said, I still believe Team RWBY won on a bit of plot armor... At the end of the day Ace-Ops are highly trained and highly experienced Huntsman... Team RWBY are skillful and talented, but they are still kids. They don't have the education ( because they're still technically first years), nor the years of training & battle experience to match up against adults that are considered elite powerhouse Spec Ops fighters.
It's still plot armor because we're talking about kids that have only trained with Ace-Ops for a couple of weeks and were only given the title of Huntsman because of their bravery at the fall of Beacon, and Ironwood had a soft spot for them as Ozpin's students...
In reality, they should have stood NO chance, whether Ace-Ops were separated or not... And while Team RWBY was giving it their all, I do truly believe Marrow when he said they were holding back because they weren't really trying to hurt them. You can tell that by how they were communicating with each other trying to convince themselves to go harder.

People keep comparing "Power Levels", but that's only one of many factors in a fight. You don't mesure how a fight would go just by seing how powerful one character is over another. Its about environment use, strategies and flexibility in alternating between them. Remember how they watched the Ace Ops fight in the beggining of the season? how they applied a complicated strategy to defeat the geist without ever talking to each other? That's the same Blake does with Yang in this fight: They keep breaking the ground as soon as they notice that Elm would not be able to use her semblance effectively with a broken ground. Also, some of the Ace Ops hesitated a LOT during this fight because of their time spent together, or simple because they tought the kids where still as weak as they were when they reached Atlas.

So...what your saying is, bonds beat earned experience whenever the situation calls for it.
So me and my friends (who have basic understanding of hand to hand combat) can beat the crap outta some trained soldiers if we train for a few months and catch them of guard? It’s that friggin simple?! Why did no one tell me?!
Jokes aside, the AceOps where written to lose this fight. If they applied what they did to the Geist to their fight with team RW/BY, they would of at least KO’D one of them. But no, a group of trained hunters got their asses handed to them by a group of emotionally inept teenagers.
      I’ve seen ALL the excuses:
The AceOps didn’t have Clover their leader and“lucky charm”.
      The AceOps where conflicted.
      The AceOps underestimated Team RW/BY.
      The AceOps where emotionally compromised.
Soldiers in real life are trained from boot camp/basic training to withstand physical, mental and emotion strain in order to complete their tour. Specialist teams, like the AceOps, are made up of the best in their field. Members of these groups are expected to exercise initiative, self-reliance, maturity and resourcefulness.
Yet, instead we see a team that’s supposed to be the “best of the best” in Atlas become an easily riled up and easily beatable group of noobs that Team RW/BY can smack around after an undefined amount of training.
HELL! Hazel, Emerald, Mercury and that Vernal put up a better fight than the AceOps!
Wins are earned through changes of character and the development and honing of skill. Team RW/BY haven’t changed.
Weiss still uses her summons. No glyphs.
Yang still sticks wit Blake. (Why no one has abused this team up to their advantage is beyond me)
Ruby still sucks at hand-to-hand combat.
I agree that power isn’t everything and MANY factors and variables can influence a fight or combat situation, which can turn tides in the favor of a less experienced or weaker character.
      But THIS ain’t it chief.
This was minor character degradation, that was written in favor of Team RW/BY.

True, even in games the strongest weapon doesn't always mean you'll win. You have to have the right mouth of power to use it, the right amount of strategy. People who complain about failing a fight are the ones who in majority of games just run in guns blazing. Then get all pissy and claim it's 'too hard'. Actually, if you'd sit back and plan it'd work.

Yang shoots a fireball through Weiss' flame glyph, and her projectile scatters into multiple blasts that are double times explosive because they are amplified by Weiss' fire dust. Or imagine Yang doing a team attack similar to the one Ruby and nora did back in V4 against the geist where Ruby carried Nora in her petal flight for a momentum- driven hammer blast. Just imagine Ruby carrying Yang in her flight, then whe she flies straight towards Harriet she throws a surprise Yang out of her rose petal cape, and Yang punches Harriet hard. Just imagine Blake amplified by Weiss' time dilation. Elm and Vine won't be ready for a quick clone-spamming strike raid spamming Blake, combined with Weiss and her elemental dust assaults.

@@maiseree1511 The funny part, in the fight between RWBY and Torchwick's mech, we see all their team attacks (Which also became their ships name, see Iceflower, Bumblebee, Checkmate, Ladybug, etc), where Blake indeed was powered up by Weiss. The funny thing is, only Ruby and Yang didn't have a team attack, the sisters didn't have a team attack, the bloody half sisters.
And none of them are used now. I get they are an adaptable team, but sometimes it's just Weiss spamming summon and some spells as if she was a mage only, Blake and Yang only caring about eachother and Ruby lately has been the only one that isn't winning solo against anything but big grimms because silver eyes, and even those are almost a plot device, they suck or don't work until they need something to win something unwinnable.
We need more Yang and Ruby and Weiss not being as solo as she had been lately, where she is basically a two person team by this point, which is great because she's self reliant, but she needs a team. And I'd love to see Ruby and Weiss team up more, Weiss in the back not relying so much on just summons and using more time glyphs and buffs to Ruby or other to let them go ham.
I really would love to see a semblance user that inutilizes or steals semblances, because in Vol 4 Yang had that whole "You rely too much on your semblance" thing, which was stupid because her semblance is as last resort and situational as it gets, a powerup when harmed and in a pinch, compared to Weiss who doesn't ever use her rapier and spams glyphs, who should be tbe one who had been taught to rely less on semblances. Winter didn't rely as much on her semblance, for example, she uses her weapons more. Blake on the other hand has been using her semblance too defensively while she used to use it aggressively in a hit and run type of style, going in, back, in again, fake, dodge and reposition and so on.
I have high hopes, choreography and pacing have been getting better and we have been starting to see the development that was been hinted at since Vol 4 like Yang more strategic, Blake more team reliant after learning to trust, Weiss being stronger and self reliant, Ruby using and understanding her semblance better, etc.

    • @maiseree1511
      @maiseree1511 4 года назад +1

@@christianvannucci6455 I think the whole 'too reliant on a semblance' thing made sense for Yang. Before she lost her am, every single fight she had was won by her temper tantrum semblance. The moment she saw Adam stab Blake, she let her emotions run wild and just assumed that her semblance can bear the damage Adam will dish only for him to take down her aura in one slice. Yang's semblance is great as a last resort thing and I think it's great that Yang can fight smartly without relying on a temper tantrum to power her up. Plus not using her semblance often adds the element of surprise.
I also think they're making up for the numerous times Weiss lost in the previous volumes during one-on-one fights by making her an independent self-reliant team of her own. Still though I think it would be great to see her give her teammates buffs here and then. And yes, I do agree that she needs to do some raw fencing more again. When she loses her aura in a fight she has to learn to defend herself with just her rapier.
And Blake still uses that agressive hit-and-run clone tactic. In Volume 6 she used it against Adam when they were fighting in front of the waterfall and Yang had not arrived yet. I think she used it defensively against the Ace Ops because she was still studying how they fight and thought it would be too risky to just run straight for them. Plus once again, there's the element of surprise

I love how this fight was able to showcase several traits of team RWBY as friends who through trials and hardship became a family, as opposed to the Ace Ops who are awesome fighters but are just in it for the job and the title. Basically, each mini-fight in that fight was won for a different reason:
    .
    1. Weiss VS Marrow: This one is pretty clear. The differentiating trait was fighting spirit, which comes in part from knowing what you're fighting for and believing in it. Marrow wanted Weiss to come peacefully, and didn't use his semblence on her until the very last moment, at which point it was pretty much useless since he was flanked by the knight and could only STAY one target at a time. The reason, I believe, is that he didn't RLY believe in what he was fighting for, but rather just did as told. Weiss on the other hand knew exactly what she was fighting for, and therefore showed 0 restrain. Not the Adam Taurus kind - she did fight with self-control - but she basically tried to impale Marrow at one point.
    .
    2. Ruby VS Harriet: I like to think of this one as "maturity". Ruby wasn't enraged at Harriet, because she understood where she was coming from, and therefore fought her carefully. Harriet on the other hand was so hateful and couldn't accept the idea of a kid disobeying her (disregarding the fact that Ruby isn't much of a kid at this point) that she just lost it, which gave the careful Ruby a chance to knock her out. She did get a bit of help from Weiss at the end, but I don't see how Ruby with Scythe would lose to hand-tied Harriet.
    .
    3. Yang&Blake VS Elm&Vine: My favorite one, and it's about trust. You can call it "quality of relationship" but, well, trust is a big part of that. Yang and Blake knew how to fight together, they needed very little talking to understand each other, and their finishing move against Vine was a dangerous move that they carried out without talking at all. I mean, hell, Blake trusted Yang to implant her with a bunch of fucking bombs lmao. Meanwhile Elm and Vine were literally arguing while fighting, and didn't carry out any duo-attacks. This basically allowed Blake and Yang to pick out one at a time and beat them in a 1V2. This goes to show how the Ace Ops not being friends, but just collegues, is a huge weakness of them.
    .
Weiss finally got a victory after 7 seasons of learning slowly and facing many challenges, and Yang&Blake showed how far they've come in trusting each other since Volume 6. Adam was able to constantly divide them, but this time they were an inseperable duo and the Ace Ops didn't stand a chance.

If the Ace Ops were able to coordinate better as a team and not bicker with each other, then yeah, they probably would’ve won. But they weren’t, and Team RWBY knew that and took advantage of it.
And that’s not even taking into consideration that they didn’t have Clover, their leader, to not only tip the odds in their favor(being a 5v4), but actually keep them in line.

As for why he didn’t freeze the team at the very beginning, before the fighting even started, he was clearly the Ace Op most reluctant on fighting in the first place, and was trying to the end to solve the issue diplomatically. Everything in this fight was stacked against Ace Ops and RWBY win smartly.
Marrow didn't use his semblance because he was hesitant and highly against fighting them. He knew it would be better if they manage to make RWBY surrender peacefully.
The fight against Elm and Vine is a case of "field experience beats regular academy training." RWBY have been going on vigilante missions against Torchwick early into their careers. Meanwhile Ace Ops are just academy graduates who go through regular sparring against other rookie students and regular grimm extermination missions against grimm they learn in school. Meanwhile RWBY have learned to fight grimm they haven't learned in school, like the Geist, the lancers, and the sea wyvern, early in V4. Because of this field experience as well as their strong bonds of friendship, they know each other well and exhibit synergy. In the fight against the Geist, the geist was an opponent that obviously requires the efforts of a team. They even had to call each other to execute team attacks and we're reliant on Clover's orders. Meanwhile Blake and Yang knows each other very well and it only takes them a nod and a smile to execute a team attack naturally. They also know how to employ team attacks even in fights against human opponents where the importance of teamwork is less obvious. Elm and Vine however, thought they were naturally superior against Blake and Yang, and thought they could take them on one on one.
Ruby knew her team would lose if Harriet teams up with the other ace ops. So she taunts Harriet by telling her that RWBY is better than Ace Ops and lures her away. Harriet should know that Ruby would never leave her friends behind and should've let her run off while she helps the other ace ops win their fights. Instead, she falls prey to her pride and instead goes after the very person who actually has chance of outrunning her, with the intent to prove that she was the better one.

@@adrien4269 Just because she doesn't use it often doesn't erase it out of existence from Weiss' toolset. Blake used her ice clone in V5 and her fire clone in V7. Ruby only used fire and lightning ammunition in V4. Weiss only used plant dust in the White trailer. Winter only used ice dust in the Weiss short. Blake only used fire and ice ammunition in the fight against Ilia. Nora never used her special 'shoot five at the same time' grenade launcher mode that she used in V3. The last time Weiss used her hard light barriers was in the lancers fight.
There are so many characters with plenty of abilities they don't use often. That doesn't mean they don't exist anymore.

      @adrien4269 4 года назад +1

@@maiseree1511 Plant dust ? Reviewed the fight and since he didn't had any plant based effect, I doubt you can call it this way.
She didn't use hard light against the lancer. Because the particles of hard light contains hexagons. It was ethereal and therefore wind at best.
And you're using multiple examples that are based not on people semblances but on the dust they're using. It's not the same at all. It's just Schnee Semblance contains a palette already diverse and that dime dilatation could already be a semblance on its own like we saw in V7 with Marrow. It's time dilatation in the same idea but the repository is different.
