This is a clear example of why you’re so effective at teaching this complex game. Have followed your teaching for years and have never been disappointed. Thank you.
The more I watch your videos, the more I believe you’re one of the best instructors out there. This has got to be one of the most helpful lessons I have watched. This is a must try for me. Well done Mate.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU - I tried these simple principles on the course today and the results were amazing - I was straight to bleeding fade (with the occasional draw hook) - today I hit dead straight or with baby draw and long too with less effort. Gotta love that!
Hi Eric, loved this lesson, I watched it yesterday, and put it to use on the range this morning, wow what a difference in ball striking, difficult to see whether it went further, but for the ball striking with both irons and driver was amazing, so thank you.
Eric, this is another area I didn't realize I needed until I tried it, it made a 5 stroke difference today on the course I play every Sunday morning and I hit the ball much better than usual. Thanks!
Yesterdays range time was horrendous , depressingly so ..never great with driver (a lot of times it stays covered for whole rounds )or long irons.but can usually at least get a tee’d 3i off to a fairway ,not yesterday ..the lil i had figured out i seem to have forgotten …..i go from high fade /hard slice ,to trying to correct it and getting low left snap hook or visa versa …no middle ground till i get to the 4i which wasnt great but playable ..then today ,Erics coming up more often in my feed …guess maybe i should pay more attention.😬🤷🏼♂️✌️
"if you hit my shin I'm gonna have to kill you" did not go unnoticed and was absolutely hilarious. I've been struggling with my driver lately which balloons my score due to lost balls off the tee, your explanation of cause and effect have always been helpful in allowing me to work and improve my game. Keep up the great work, Eric.
Your student needs to do 3 simple setup changes 1. Square off his stance 2. Flare out his lead foot 1/4 turn 3. Narrow his Stance by 2 inches Squaring his stance will shorten his backswing , guarantee a more upright takeaway with the shaft parallel to the target line at first parallel and encourage more pelvic rotation going down Flaring his lead foot will reduce the length of his backswing by restricting his pelvic rotation going back and will make it much easier to rotate his pelvis going down Narrowing his stance will make it easier to rotate Both 1+2 will result in less external rotation of his lead hip going back ( lead knee breaking in away from the target
Also an example of benefit of making slow motion swings. He was obviously uncomfortable first time he had to turn head and chest back and get to the ball from there .Same with using side bend and still keeping head behind the ball. Each time as you moved him through the required motion you could see him begin to find a comfortable way to do it. Then you put a ball down and...pow! So cool watch
100%! Agreed Brad---good stuff! Gotta start sloowwwwww to really get the FEELs. I like to tell the student clearly where we are trying to go.....and then guide and assist as needed to help create the right motion/feels but let their brains create the feels they need on their own

@@CogornoGolf Cool, thanks for the clarification. It seems like he took that stance to counteract the slice, if he starts overcooking the draw would you change that?
Yeah maybe.....honestly the stance line for him would be really low on the priority list compared to other items. Its doesnt have a main effect on his issues from my perspective....
Hey there! Would love to dig in and help with your ball flight consistency...just need to see your swing on video! Send us your swings at CogornoGolf.com so we can get this improved for ya. Should be an easy fix👊

I agree. He really makes these lessons easy for the average person to comprehend and bring to the range.
Thanks Rick and Steve---I appreciate the kind words and support!
Very nice thing to say.

Thanks Mick! Appreciate ya!!
Your in person teaching technique is superb and not at all common place. Amongst the better lessons I have ever seen.
Thank you---appreciate those kind words!
I’m new to golf and videos like this are so amazing and beneficial! Thank you for taking time to share this value with everyone 🙏🏾
Glad the videos are helping my friend!
Love the video - around 15:45 you were describing the club head passing through with the driver. Can the same process be used with irons?
Hey Scott! Yes! But the head will be more forward with iron
I go over that part here:

Nice lesson, Eric. Step by step fixing , excellent tips. Thanks
Appreciate it! Our pleasure!!

Love to hear that!! Appreciate the support!!
My last golf lesson, my instructor had me do a very similar thing, and it greatly improved my swing. This video is a great affirmation for me.
Love it!
Love it. Clear communication, explanation & buy in to make the changes. If you’re ever in Scotland….ill be first the queue for a lesson 👌🏼👍🏼
Thanks Bruce! Deal!

Hell yeah love it John!!
Perfect lessons that my son and I are working on keeping the head back of the ball and swing like your preaching
Hope this one serves you guys well Tony!!
Loved this one💗 Thanks so much! I loved the wall explanation 👍
Thanks Sheila!!
So good Eric !!
Such a great video honestly
Thanks Sam!
A great lesson Nice to see an average guy improve so much after this one lesson with Eric. I just had a very similar lesson with my pro
Thanks Andy!! Love to hear that---on the right track!
Fantastic result great teacher for feels and reals👍👍👍👍👍💯
Thank you :)
That sound at the end sounded so pure!
:) Thanks for watching, Craig!
Fantastic lesson!!
Thanks!
This is what “keeping your head still” means. Great lesson!
Yes! Thank you!

Heard this often but never so well illustrated; thanks as it is what I need
Appreciate it!
That bet you made Eric was a clever way to get the student to execute the backswing to the right. Great lesson.
Yes! I find a good "challenge" speeds up the process :)
Can the forward head position cause pulls with driver as well as irons ?
100%! head more forward = club path more left = pulls

Thanks for your thoughts Dave!!
Getting the feel of swinging upward at impact also helps to keep head back
Yes!!
I really like this kind of videos!!!
Great to hear! Thank you!
I really enjoyed this lesson. I think its going to help me. I enjoy your channel.
Appreciate your support! Hope this one serves you well!
Another crazy good golf lesson.
Thanks!
Great job Eric
Thank you!!

Been doing this lately, hit 19 of 21 fairways on 27 holes today.
Thats excellent!!

Thank you 🎉
You got it---thanks of watching!!
This was great !!
Appreciate it!
Just out of curiosity, is it part if the plan, later, to address his closed stance? Or do you want him to hit the draw then address his stance?
Hey! Maybe...Would be totally fine to play with closed stance as well! I have lots of players do that
@@CogornoGolf Cool, thanks for the clarification. It seems like he took that stance to counteract the slice, if he starts overcooking the draw would you change that?

Anyone know why sometimes I can draw the ball and command and other days I just can’t. Always feels the same to me

Effort creates tension. Tense/tight muscles are one of my biggest faults. Even with pitching, chipping and putting.
Appreciate you watching!

Nice !
Thanks!!
This guy would also be better if he slowed his tempo down, it's pretty sloppy and could probably hit it much further if he smoothed that out
