Thank you once again EC! As a lefty, I love it when I see a fellow lefty on your channel. Makes it easier for me to process the information. Great lesson.
Hi. As someone who has taken up golf again after over a 30 year gap I have really enjoyed and benefited from your videos. I like the way you explain, repeat and reinforce the various aspects of the swing, clearly going over the theory so that you know why as well as what you should do. Thanks!
I'm going to start checking all the bushes around me at the range and on the course because you are obviously following me, watching me play and then putting out a video exactly with what I need to work on.
Excellent lesson and exactly on point with my driver issues..like 100% exact. Even though I’ve started with your online membership lessons a few months ago, it’s still great to watch these lessons. Thanks for sharing this awesome lesson Eric!!
Started playing golf consistently this summer at age 34. Fellow lefty and former baseball player with the exact same issue. Took a few lessons, but this video really resonated with me. Thank you for sharing this and all of your content!
This video plus the one you did with Grant helped me a lot today at the range. Figured out it’s either the grip or the swing path. But all that starts with the setup. Swinging like a baseball bat and lowering the club to figure out the swing path is an amazing help. Plus, the strong grip feels over exaggerated, but when you get used to it, it really works to square the face. Now I just need to find some distance and height on the ball.
@@CogornoGolf Can’t thank you enough for these videos. I literally shaved 20 shots off my score this weekend. I went back to the range again today and hit 20+ balls in a row straight and long. The best thing about these videos is giving us the tools to self diagnose. Today I was slicing again and I remembered grip or swing path, but also found that gripping too tight creates the same problem. I did notice that while flying high and straight, it did spin right when hitting the ground. Is this still a club face problem?
This is my exact issue right now. His first few shots are mirror images of my drives, high fade slices that are about 40 yards short of my normal length. When i do get the club face square i'm just pulling the ball left (as a righty) so i need to work on getting that in-to-out path incorporated somehow. Great Video Eric, you're one of the best!
I always thought this change was a bandaid when I was learning. My instructor told me to do this exact thing and it worked temporarily but it also caused joint issues. It wasn't until I fully understood the mechanics that my natural grip worked for me, which was a neutral grip. Grip is everything, but you want your joints to work as they're intended.
Hey Brett! Hard to say 100% without seeing your swing...but if we wanted to turn your PULL-draw into a PUSH-draw, we could start with the simplest tip first: Starting direction of the ball is mostly dictated by club face angle (not club path as much). Once you grip the club with the face square (toe on top of the heel), position the club face slightly open to the target at setup...this would be a nice place to start for a PUSH-draw👍 If you don't get it sorted, send swings to CogornoGolf.com and we'll fix!
Have you got or can you do a video on the 'in-out' part. you speak about it in the 21st minute. I dont see any difference from his 'bad' swing. Is it to do with the path of the hands, arms, something else?

It just works better :) Your brain needs to see a DIFFERENT ball flight to fix it fast If someone hits a slice/face they have two things going on 1. club face thats open to path 2. Club path out to in If you fix the path first......and not the face......now you have 1. Path in to out 2. Club face open to path What does that produce? A PUSH slice.....thats even worse. The ball goes MORE right. That doesn't help Face first, curve it left then path. Much better. I've just tested both for 15 years and its clear. Hope that helps

Great lesson. Exactly what i needed. I love the picture of opposites one has to have when correcting the swing (slice to hook, draw to fade, etc.).
Thanks Jose!!

Can’t wait to get on the range and follow this process.
Great video Eric. I’ve recently started to slice the ball badly but looking forward to trying out the advice in this video.
Hope it helps David! Thanks!
Love this lesson especially at 18:25! Thank you sir 🫡

Thank you!!👊
Tremendous lesson. THANK YOU from all us Lefties!!
:) Thanks Patrick!
Excellent! Keep up the great work. Would like to see a follow up with this student to affirm what he is learning and progress.
Love that idea! Appreciate your support!
Solid video, Eric...this is my issue all day every day with the BIG DOG!

Appreciate you being here with us, Scott!
@@CogornoGolf Of course! Love your channel!
Can you have 2 different grips? One for driver and one for irons?
Hey Chris! I wouldn't
Ah, Bach!! Felt great hitting into net at home. To the range….
:) Hope it helps!
Any videos like this for hitting blocks and snap hooks with driver?
For Sure!

Awesome, this guy is basically me. Lol

My dear Eric,
my miracle is, strong grip.
Some balls slice, some balls hooks.
You have any idea?
Thank you Erich
Hey Erich!
