You can get the front runner Jimny base deck for about R1,600. I have it installed in mine and it does wonders. Only thing is that you only have the driver and 1 passenger then.
It really does help allot to remove the seats and install a flat deck or some level of drawer system. I actually went with a box for the fridge that fits behind a cargo box for gear :)

Henri when you say you have a proper diesel in sight for the defender in the future, what do you have in mind?
Something with grunt that is also reliable. I have done a complete change of setup so keep an eye on the next few uploads
