  • We ended the Namakwa 4x4 Eco trail, said goodbye to Emma The Runaway Blonde, and we head off on our next adventure! The Richtersveld National Park was calling us! Although we arrived at the border town of Sendelingsdrif a couple days early on Easter weekend, we made a plan to get into the park and begin our Offroad Overlanding adventure! Our first campsite would be Poitjiespram, then we would head to De Hoop campsite after a little 4x4ing through the Akkedis Pass; and after waking up next to the spectacular Orange River, we head in land towards the magical Kokerboomkloof! On the way there we stopped by at Tatasberg for a lunch stop, before making our way through the quiver tree valley to our last campsite for our entire trip! The Hilux had taken us all across South Africa, our Redarc 12v system had been through some of the toughest terrains we could throw at it, and here in the north western most section of the country we wrap up our incredible journey! Thank you so much for tuning in to the epic adventure and I hope you enjoyed it and are excited for future series!

    Great journey Adrian & Andy! I have been blessed to do many trips in the heritage section but not ever done the Park yet. Two highlights from this video for me are Tatasberg view and the red colour as night fell on your second last night. Andy I think we need to call him the Barbie Boy Ken from now on😁

    What has happened to Andy's budget build Isuzu?

    • @RoamOverlanding
      @RoamOverlanding  Год назад +4

      Its gone on to a new mechanic at the moment; there is something electronic happening with the engine that is causing a strange problem otherwise its pretty much ready to continue the build

    Brilliant content as usual Adrian. Kudos to you and the Oom. Needed to ask about how you manage poor diesel quality on fill ups. I see you are using Diesel Conditioner. Do you also have a water separation filter? Also, do you have a catch can installed? Any info will be appreciated.

    • @RoamOverlanding
      @RoamOverlanding  Год назад

      Thanks so much for the kind words! Yup I have a water separation filter, and a catch can! The separation filter has a 30micron filter, so it also catches larger debris keeping the main filter cleaner for longer I’ve found. 👌🏻 I have a little light in my cabin that will light up if I get water in my diesel. So I can stop and drain it off before the problem gets serious

    Great video. Will I be able to drive with X-Trail only 4 Hi all the roads in Richter's veld?

    • @RoamOverlanding
      @RoamOverlanding  5 месяцев назад

      I think so, but you will need a very good understanding of your vehicle 4wd systems and a very good set of all terrain tires in an LT construction to handle the rough roads. You will also need an air compressor and the ability to deflate your tires for the thick sandy sections.
