I was 10 yrs old in 1967, had no idea what was going on in the world and you awesome guys were fighting and sacrificing yourselves to keep me free- you have my total respect, thanks, and admiration.
I was in the 101st airborne division Charlie company 2/501st infantry 1969 through November 19 70 I’m sure you guys assist us a lot I would like to just tell you a story this happened July 4 and July 5 we were under attack by a company a sappers to helicopter gun ships that were with general Berry assisted us that night and saved our lives because we were about to be overrun if you have any idea who those pilots were thank them for me and my company we talk about this incident and you guys all the time God bless you man (Drive on Geronimo‘s) 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Are you referring to "Geronimos" as in the 205th Assault support Helicopter company, Chinook CH-47s ? I was in that unit 1968-69. Phu Loi near Bien Hua airbase.

One of my best friends, Rodney Rubisoff, was a door gunner with the 101st out of Camp Evans, 1970-71. He sent me a pic of him at Camp Evans, Thanksgiving, 1970. Did y’all know him?
