Wow! I've studied the Vietnam War for over forty years. This is, perhaps the most humble man I've seen interviewed who fought that conflict. There's never been a more deserving person to be gifted with being allowed to relive his past! We're glad you made it home, Steve. Sorry you lost your friends.
Thank you Sir! For taking care of our nation.Taking care of us in that time frame. I could not even IMAGINE what it was like to be back in a Huey Helicopter . Thinking back at what you actually did during that conflict. YOU, AND ALL THE OTHERS. ARE MY HERO'S! As well as all of our soldiers. Thank you! Thank you!
Thank you Steve. You and all the crews of the Hueys were the best. No matter what you would come in for us. You guys were our angels from above. ‘68-70 grunt
I flew with the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation for a few yrs and had the opportunity to share these Veterans experience as they flew the Huey again after so many yrs. Truly humbling experience to see men I know to be tough as nails with tears in there eyes.
I love these helicopters IM 38 was never in the military but I’ve always been drawn to this helicopter and it’s sound the way it looks and the Vietnam era for some reason. I have the utmost respect for all who served and continue to serve and with that I say thank you and welcome home
I say this to every veteran of every country... When your country called, you came and did what was asked of you. For that alone, you are among the most honorable on this earth. I salute you.
También volé en un UH-1H, soy un ex Famet de la unidad de helicópteros IV, Sevilla. 1975 a 1977. España. Entiendo la emoción de este veterano al volar en el Huey, es la misma que yo sentiría también.
We have restored a Vietnam Huey and we have veterans come to our hanger here in Lancaster PA, please stop in if your passing. Liberty War birds ASOS come see our Huey!!
First class Gentleman can see when he is Up in the old girl it takes him right back to that moment in time in the war over Vietnam you can see Humbled what the lads have done to keep the old girl flying Respect top Gentleman the forgotten war
I also flew as a Crew Chief, BUT, we did not have the guns on our ships. Have flown twice in Huey 369 (one of our Ships from Vietnam) in the last 5 years.
Sorry, respect this guy, just found this funny, sure it was just a slip of the tongue but he said "first time I've seen one in 52 years and first time I've been in one in 51 years." So apparently the last time he was in it he had his eyes closed :p
thank god he's wearing a mask in the open doors of the huey while flying, all that air circulation could be dangerous so he's gotta wear a peice of cloth to save his life! truly heartwarming
as a vietnam veteran i can tell you, i didn’t know it at the time of course. it was to control the world drug trade by the cia. at the time opium was coming out of the golden triangle, remember air america? also drugs got sent home in the body bags of dead americans.
never happened, that started when one group took prisoners up to a ten foot hover they would ask questions and if they didn’t and were they were thrown out that ten feet 😂you can say oh that’s so cruel well getting blown up by a booby trap isn’t much fun either. so before anyone says anything screw all you bleeding heart lefties 😂
🦅🇺🇲🦅 You've never lived unless you've mowed the lawn in a Cobra gunship traveling at 200 mph , What's these RED dots on my windscreen, 🔴🔴🔴 Why it's What's left of Charlie. 🤣🤣🤣‼️ Posting in Honorable memories of Lancers and Seal team 6 , Command submarine group 6 ♦️♦️♦️🦅🌏⚓ Semper Fidelis
I'm a proud Vietnam/Draft resistor. You do nothing but give me "ammunition" when I argue with all the assholes that support Vietnam. You know what we used to say when I was a kid..."If you had a brain, you'd be dangerous". Wait a minute....you're already dangerous. Take you meds, keep in contact with your VA....and don't do illegal drugs. :-))
well i’d have to say low leveling over a rice patty skids hitting the rice stalks at 120 knots listening to rock and roll isn’t bad either!😂 i’ve done that many times many years ago
Vietnam veterans gone "Hollywood". Obviously he didn't get enough of the "Vietnam" experience the first time. And the reality is he didn't belong there...or have a right to be there in the first place. So many of these veterans are jokes.
God Bless you Steve Crawford. Thank you for your Service. 💙

This is a really off the wall comment. Please Explain yourself. How did he not "belong there"? By your comments it would seem that you are the joke.
@@cepaasch Nothing off the wall about it. If you need Vietnam explained to you, then it's a mute point.
