Quite surprised and glad to see someone else using @arena target macro for cc as well. This felt awkward at first converting from the usual @focus cc, but later on it really pays off, especially in 3's. I somehow managed to have my cc macros work only @arena when in arenas, and when not in arena (bg/wpvp/duels) it'll work as @target or @focus.

- Do u use target 1,2,3 arena on specific key binds?

Thanks so much for watching glad it helped! For the hand of sacrifice you can just add a line or whatever for a mouseover or other party members if needed for 5s. For the pet healing you need to put in the lock pet name or hunter name before hand. If it's a ghoul pet I don't know what to do for that but healing ghoul pets barely matters anyways. I just use nameplates for totems and hit the ones that need to be hit. And for 123 specific binds I tend to have them in preferable spots which for me are: f,g,h,v,b,r,q,e.
Hey Apex, that's a very nice preg guide, ty :). I think by now you've convinced me to main preg. Since you have played enh/preg 2v2 in the past and it seems like you will also be playing it in wrath classic, is there any chance you plan on making an in depth guide for that comp? Like strats against different matchups, general playstyle, things to look out for as the preg and as the enh etc.

Glad it helps! Not anytime soon. However, I do really like all shaman specs and I might do an enhance one next and who knows maybe I'll end up playing resto shaman and making one too.

Lol nice name. And Yeah it's gonna be super contested as will the betrayer imo. I think if I made a list it would be something like Weapon(betrayer or turning tide) depending on what you're going for first, then the 226 ilv cape, then I would likely go with something else that's highly contested like maybe the 226 neck unless you go for the much easier to get alternatives like deadly/fools trial, etc.
What add on gives you the scrolling combat buffs/debuffs to make it easier to see Art of War procs? Or is that something you can activate off the default ui?
Great vids! Planning to main ret. Got a question about seal of vengeance. Would you use it to build pressure when running 2s with a healer against other healer teams before swapping to righteousness or is 100% righteousness always better?
btw vengeance is used against rogues right?
Thanks - and good choice :) I personally just camp righteousness 99% of the time as ret. The nice thing about it is you can easily swap targets and not build up the stacks. But in some circumstances the dispel protection could be useful so it really depends on your comp and theirs. Against rogues you can camp shield/1h more so vengeance works better there in particular 1v1's. But of course cloaking off the stacks sets you back a little bit.

Only holy paladin for the shockadin like you mentioned. You just need spellpower on weapon since there is SO much on it. And you can actually get holy shock lower to a 5 second cooldown in Wrath!
Hey @Apex Analysis Do pregs use the legendary mace in wrath when ulduar is released or no?
Have you tried Preg with ornamented shoulders and gloves? It's an extra 100 resilience, stronger flash of light and insignificant damage reduction, also on the BIS gear list I prefer the agility back from gunship and the plate bracers from gunship, that pretty much takes care of your hit rating cap. Also versus Frost Mage teams as Ret I'd use Icebane crafted gear for resistances, yeah it sacrifices some damage, but you'd have over 400 frost resistance, laughing at that pathetic mages face, while resisting most of his snares and slows. Some good trinkets I run versus caster teams are Corroded skeleton key, a really nice extra absorb + more hp and Sindragosas cruel claw, which adds a nice 290+ resistance for 15s on a 1 min cooldown, I'd pop it when I see an incoming fear, poly or burst attempt, you could flat out resist alot of the ccs and mitigate alot of damage, also in my opinion while easy to get, Bryntroll is a horrendous weapon to have, I used to rock it, really sucked, then I got Bloodfall which was way, way better, and eventually blew all my DKP on Glorenzelg, which made a night and day difference both in PVE and PVP, currently I'm 20 SFS away from SM, can't wait to see how much better it would be...
about shields, didnt u consider the naxx 10 shield with block value increase on it?

What are generally the best kill targets as preg enhancement or preg rogue in 2v2 s5?
I seem te destroy warrior paladins/priest by forcing warrior cd's, slapping palla then Back on warrior.
However mage/rogue, mage/sp or mage/healer give me the hardest time. It seems mage has insane dispel protection for slow effects and nova. in one of my last games it took me 7 dispels to get out of a freaking nova...
I really enjoy your videos and thanks to you I decided to main my preg. I think it’s a good spec to go if you are casual/pve player who wants to step up to arenas.
Are you planning to make a video, kinda like: “know you enemy”? For a casual player who didn’t play all specs and classes, I find it very hard to know how to play against each of them. I tried to find some guides which would explain main abilities/cds and tactics against each spec but it’s not an easy one.

Hey Tx Toast - I think until epic gems are in, tailoring and engineering probably are a little better for all paladin specs. But it's very marginal. I'm going to do JC + either tailoring or engi myself if that helps.
We need ppl to report the horde version of preg seal ( Seal of Corruption ). Its still bugged and idont know if they are going to fix this. Imean, a horde Preg seems like a F tier atm on Beta since they can dispell the seal....

Why is the Reckoning talent important ? I only have a 7% block rate, so 6% of the 7% of times I will block I'll get a few extra swings doesn't sound that great. Would it not be better to take 3 extra points in Divinity or Toughness ?
Surge Needle ring is actually a drop from Malygos 10 not 25. BoE nonetheless but going to be much easier to try to get vs 9 others as opposed to 24 others :)

Yes, I will also be making a video on gearing and the fastest way to get honor at 80 soon. Definitely buy the 213 offpieces first then likely go for the 200 savage pieces. Get a ilv 200 wep from heroics + professions

How do you feel about glyph of salvation vs glyph of the light?
Definitely an option, I've seen people run it. I think the fact that hand of salvation is dispellable is the reason I personally don't like it. But hand definitely would be better in duels against classes without dispel and maybe in some situations elsewhere!

Why the spell sword instead of a harder hitting 1 handed with strength?
I know this is super late but iirc the spell sword is so your heals are even better. That's what most preg guides I've seen have said.
what's the key to making the Flash of Light heals do a lot more healing? Do I just need more gear?
My guess would be to use the Flash of Light glyph because it gives FoL a 5% better chance to score a crit. And Sheath of Light talent. Which boosts your spellpower by 30% based on how much attack power you'll have. And it also gives the recipient of a crit Holy Light or Flash of Light a hot.
I'm not into PVP stuff and my Pally is only level 72 at the moment, but using the Preg build for PVE solo and my FoL's heal pretty nicely with just 2/3 Sheath of Light talent. I'll max it out next level. Then the remaining points will go into finishing the Prot talents.

Playing Preg for very long time now on warmane and let me tell you better to put 5/5 on Reckoning and only 1/3 in improved Devotion Aura because you need to get every proc you can! Damage is so low as Preg anyway so it also makes sense to not use Berserk Enchant and instead use 63 Spellpower Enchant. 400 Attackpower converts to 120 spellpower but only for 15 secs with about 30--35% uptime = around 42 spellpower in general (400 * 0,3 Sheat of light * 0,35 uptime of buff).
It might be even worth to gem your red sockets to agi/ resil instead of strength (Lucent Ametrine) for even more crit and change your meta gem to something more useful like the Impassive Skyflare Diamond (21 crit - 10% fear duration because that will tilt you the most) and as you said - your main goal is to support and you cannot support while in CC!
I even tried going 5/5 Seals of the Pure and 2/2 Unyielding Faith in Holy tree and skip Reckoning and One Handed Specialization entirely just to reduce the time I am in CC I cannot remove by myself. The Damage is roughly the same because 15% more dmg on your Seal and Everything is about the same as 10% overall dmg AND you have 2 more skill points you can freely chose (I chose to make 3/3 Fanatiscm for another 6% more crit on Judgement and either Swift Retribution for more haste).
This spec is however only really better if they go on your partner and crowd control you because Reckoning would then have little to no uptime anyway.

Which one between ret or preg is somehow pvp funnier to play?
I think it's about equal really. They feel so similar. I suppose I'd give a slight edge to ret though. It's nice being able to play both though whenever you feel like since most classes don't even have that option.

Yes it is! The only real difference is the healer weapon enchant. You would use berserking for preg, but spell power for ret. I myself will be playing a lot of ret & preg utilizing 95% of the same gear/gems/enchants :)
What mouse do you use for all these macros?
Nothing. I don't use any mouse keybinds. But if you are interested I use the logitech g502. Very nice mouse imo, but only a few buttons on the side.

Why use kings and not might?!? Because kings only gives .4 crit where improved might is 675 attack power plus 1/3rd spell power

They are definitely livelords. But if you start putting on mortal strike or just get geared warriors on them they will go down
