If you don't have SM, it's the best arena spec for pally, IMO it's best with a hunter, cos of their insane CC chains, I think the original 0/28/43 is a bit outdated tho, there are better ways to play it, for instance reckoning is absolutely useless, it procs very rarely for me at least was once or twice per 30 arenas, also sacrificing 1 point from 1h wep specialization and putting it in crusader strike gets you more DPS and the spec feels much more fluent to play.

Preg is very similar to ret, it is definitely a dps spec, has more defense, less burst than ret, but the differences aren’t too big, it is definitely good in BGs especially if you get focused a lot - thanks to more armor, and it has a fantastic offhealing with the Art of War talent

Hey Marcus, just go by the stat priority and whatever gear you can get youf hands on - get the hit cap, and get max strength and crit and some resilience depending on how defensive you need to be

pretty much 0 chance 😅 it doesn't change during phases, the only thing that changes is the gear and you just go by the stat priority, make sure you are hit capped, everything else counts for any season

I like your way of thinking, but you are right - too often you are the dispeler/offhealer on the team, so every GCD makes a difference, especially if you track your party members' health and debuffs
@@jscoppe you might give it a try in some very specific situations, but then again - against mages and other kitting classes you don't have time for that, against melees you usually wanna have the extra armor from the shield anyway, and you don't even have the talent boosting your two-hander damage, so overall not worth it
1 point of 1h wep specialization helps, the macro idea works great with a GCD hack that removes GCD when switching weps, it's very subtle, but still I don't know if things like that exist anymore, use to have it back in the day 😂😂😂
Just go by the primary stats and what you can get yor hands on - max strength and crit while capping hit, ignore armor pen gear, and go full plate ideally…especially capping hit on s5 requires a lot of hit items…and then just balance the resilience out so you don’t get oneshot
Will this feature be effective for the first season of wotlk? Because the ret is often triggered by a situation where it explodes helplessly I'm going to learn another build to find a solution
I have never tested the true difference so idk about that, it is adviced, but I don't think it would be too big of a deal as long as you have a solid weapon
only in instances where you don't want to remove Unstable Affliction so it doesn't explode with damage, for example, but generally you use Cleanse a lot more
I take it mainly for the movement speed increase, cause mobility is king, but you could also skip it and get the enchants on disarm and speed, but it’s not as effective

It's pretty important, yes. There's a level 77 rare BoE caster sword I am using right now with 1.4 speed until I can get my hand on a 1.6 caster wep, even though I have the epic Nexus mace. If your weapon is like 2.1 that would be 50% slower than mine. That would make for 33% less AoW proccs from AAs and 33% slower Seal of Corruption/Vengeance stacking. Since you can only procc AoW from your judgements and auto attacks that's significantly less self heal.
very good question, I would probably just go all the way down in ret tree to get the art of war flashes of light, that thing is super OP for offhealing, even though you will probably not get as many crits with those low stats, but I would test it first if you have a chance, maybe the Art of War procs on lvl 70 are very few and it's not worth it at that level, I can't rly tell

Quick tip about gold farming, when you're 80 quests give more gold, Northernd Loremaster plus all the trash u collect from mobs while questing is about 30k gold when completed :)

definitely preg and ret, you have a lot more control over the fight - you can push offense or pull back for defense, while DK has to mostly push, paladin can heal behind a pillar, can dispel ppl, can keep ppl alive or let them die

No, definitely not, it could be considered for soloing dungeons with the great flash of light off healing, but regular prot is waaay better for tanking

Hey, don't have the numbers but I can speak from a perspective of a retri player who just tried preg. And who likes to switch weapons mid fight. Around 1050 resil on both specs. Gear changes were gloren to 284 1h + 239 shield. (6k gs as preg) The first thing I noticed was definitely survivability, with the non-stop shield, healing and glyph of salvation I can withold a lot more burst from bis melee classes. I generally can kill an average SM warrior with ret, but as preg the damage i can absorb is, plain and simple, unfair. Definitely did not see all there is to it, VERY promising. Edit: also melee classes in Bgs avoid you more.
Good question, yes, there are some - different hybrid DK tank specs, mages also have a number of specs they can run, personally I just go for some all-purpose basic specs since I haven’t played much PvE on WotLK myself, and idk about preg in PvE, never tried it, it may be good in some solo instances
I just started leveling an alt yesterday and a random person offered me to boost me in dungeons, so we spent 2 hours leveling with him, so there are still many nice and social players

@@MEYTRIX I wish more paladins preferred to play ret over preg, but there are so many of them in PvP, they are impossible to kill 1v1 and that actually matters in arenas also, there is not one other spec in the game (not even fat ferals or straight prots) that can kill two other geared melees and stay full HP, while you feel like a truck hit you and you couldn't do anything about it.

Why don't you spec a point into crusader strike? Is adding that to the rotation less damage than an extra 4% damage on one-handers?

WHY use purify when cleanse also removes magic too aside of disease and poison whilst purify no magic cleanse

JWC+BS is the best combo for pretty much every spec in the game, you could also go ENG for BGs and world pvp

definitely preg and ret, you have a lot more control over the fight - you can push offense or pull back for defense, while DK has to mostly push, paladin can heal behind a pillar, can dispel ppl, can keep ppl alive or let them die
@@MEYTRIX good point.i prefer uh cause many casters pvp on warmane and its lot easier to handle them.its pain in ass to play wothout healers support but i genuinely hate healing and playing on back lol

No, definitely not, it could be considered for soloing dungeons with the great flash of light off healing, but regular prot is waaay better for tanking

@@jacobbender3573 prot is actually pretty good in arenas on wotlk, you will need some BiS PvE items for it, but it’s definitely viable, prot+r sham is a popular 2v2 comp for instance

If you miss rogues that is not lack of hit chance, that is lack of expertise
rogues can't do anything with preg anyway, no need to invest in 6% hit.

No, it’s not as clearcut, depends on the situation - if you need more burst for instance, then ret is better

Depends on what you prefer, I prefer survivability mostly and don't play Ret unless I have SM, if you have SM then you should be 100% Ret 😁😁
But his specc is atm not viable as horde since you can dispell Seal of Corruption, but the alliance variant ( Seal of vengeance ) is NOT dispellable. I have reported this several times but i dont have any luck :(... WHY dont they fix this

I see what is this spec about, but everytime i hear about preg i want to ask same questions:
Good retri players swap to 1h+shield when they need it
And the major gameplay of retri and preg is the same
So, preg looks like: "I am too lazy to play retri and swap weapons, i just equip 1h+shield from start and press less buttons"
P.S. What is the average damage of ShieldofR on preg?
That is a good comparison, no idea about the average dmg, I play with very different gear on multiple seasons so I don’t remember the numbers
Hey, don't have the numbers but I can speak from a perspective of a retri player who just tried preg. And who likes to switch weapons mid fight. Around 1050 resil on both specs. Gear changes were gloren to 284 1h + 239 shield. (6k gs as preg)
The first thing I noticed was definitely survivability, with the non-stop shield, healing and glyph of salvation I can withold a lot more burst from bis melee classes. I generally can kill an average SM warrior with ret, but as preg the damage i can absorb is, plain and simple, unfair. Definitely did not see all there is to it, VERY promising.
Edit: also melee classes in Bgs avoid you more.

Good question, yes, there are some - different hybrid DK tank specs, mages also have a number of specs they can run, personally I just go for some all-purpose basic specs since I haven’t played much PvE on WotLK myself, and idk about preg in PvE, never tried it, it may be good in some solo instances
The social aspect of warmane sucks , no one talks or anything, your videos are great tho
I just started leveling an alt yesterday and a random person offered me to boost me in dungeons, so we spent 2 hours leveling with him, so there are still many nice and social players

It's kinda like that game you play in elementary school where the teacher tells one student in line a sentence and pass it down. Theres absolutely no merit to playing this... Prot/ret would be much stronger at anything this can do.
Prot/ret probably wouldn’t have the overpowered instant Flash of Light healing though, and that alone is a biiig deal

@@MEYTRIX I wish more paladins preferred to play ret over preg, but there are so many of them in PvP, they are impossible to kill 1v1 and that actually matters in arenas
also, there is not one other spec in the game (not even fat ferals or straight prots) that can kill two other geared melees and stay full HP, while you feel like a truck hit you and you couldn't do anything about it.
