So bmw deleted air suspension/ Rear sunblinds / recline seats / Rear screens/ laser lights etc . And increased the price ...wow so Germans. Doubt there is even adas level 2/3 . Thanks for giving us indian a bad deal like always.
They are giving ADAS just for namesake. It should have been called ADAS level 0.5.

@@VirajThe007 true. Nowadays, a car worth 30 Lakhs is all the car that you'll ever need, plus some more. Above that is just pure desire.
Ground clearance is a bummer!!
Being a BMW fan I can digest everything but can’t digest the fact that a car that costs around 90L OTR doesn’t have rear window blinds !! Not even manual ones ?? What did designers smoke ??
That’s a very useful and much required feature which even a 20lakh car should have.
If i recall correctly the older model has that, in the luxury line atleast

@@peanutbutterjelly1368 even my skoda superb has it and they also skipped on this feature in our bmw 330li which is also long wheel base and costs 70L OTR.
The old gen costed around 80L but has damn good

For all the enthusiasts of 5 and 6 series Pre owned market is the only choice of interest now 😂
Why we don't like this car
-bad looks
-worse driving dynamics
-bad looking wheels
-no physical touch cntrls
-inflated grills
-no sunshade
-no adaptive cruise cntrl

1) grille with light is just 🤡
2) wheels are good looking. It's just that they are small for this car.
3 physical controls ? Just wait till you enter tatta bent, the interior is a dead lifeless eery cementry. Atleast cemetery has tombstones. This has no thing.

The distinction is clear now. M340i for enthusiasts and 5lwb for business persons.
But, what about the people who want the class and features of a 5er and is an enthusiast?

It’s a seriously flawed product. Neither here nor there! I have been a lifelong BMW purist.

From a BMW nut: I hope the Indian conumers start seeing through the ever shrinking model line up from the BMW, India. The lineup isn't just smaller but it is also being stripped of power (X1 18d!) comfort features ( Li vs GT).
Yet the country seems to be obsessed about owning this badge, making the manufacturer get away with offering less for more with every iteration.
Having those wheels on a 5 series BMW is like wearing chappals with a suit and tie 😅

@Autocar India - has the 6GT been silently discontinued after introducing this 5 LWB? I checked on 25.7.24 on BMW India website, couldnt find it - so asking.
Yes 6 GT has been discontinued silently . The new 5 LWB replaces it.
The RIP old 5 and 6 series. The Golden era of BMW is gone .

@@NikhilOnCars thanku for the info. Actually didnt like the look of the LWB5 at the very onset after seeing the notification from Autocar. Then dragged myself into viewing it. Found that my very question was answered during the beginning of the video itself. Anyways thanx for the reply. Am am Audi person. Merc hater. Liked the sole BMW 6GT because of its present looks, presence, interiors and Audi like easy to use analog controls. Its very disheartening for me

The German version has rear blinds and the window blinds, saw it personally at the Munich museum in June

I brought etios liva diesel in 2022 for 2.5 lakh. 1.5 lakh on odo. This has been my daily driver since past 2 years and I'm absolutely loving this every day.
No nonsense car. I'm getting 20 kmpl.
BMW needs to change their designer asap. Cool interior tho:)
Design is not good!! I like old bmw design. It used to be classy, elegant and sporty before.

The exterior design doesn't really bother me. While it is not as accomplished as the previous gen it does well to make it look more modern. But those alloys simply have nothing redeeming about them.

I don't remember myself getting this little interested in a BMW.
New car formula -
Add 1/2 Big Screen & Remove buttons
Add some extra EV power
Worsen the handling, remove steering feedback.
Faster 0-60 time.
2018-19 Model looks better than the current one's
A rear passenger focused car without any amenities at the rear makes 0 sense. Surely anybody who pays 90L would not mind paying slightly more to get all those features.
the prev 5 was easily one of the best looking bmw's of all time and this one is right up there with one of the worst looking what a turnaround i dont get why car companies keep changing and ruining what was already perfect
Old design side muscle lines are good lokk now is just plain look so normal

No radar in BMW 5 series. No sunroof open its fixed roof. I think no blind spot assistant in BMW 5 series no lane departure warning
I don’t even have enough money to buy a BMW but I’m still watching this video because I really enjoy watching reviews of things that are beyond my means

India has always been a value focused market and this car offers none. BMW has shot themselves in the foot with this eyesore of a vehicle, it'll soon join the ranks of the new C63 in terms of sales numbers.
Let's make the car longer and not give anything else. All new 5 series everyone🕺🏻

Only major problem with next gen E class is that you get a glossy television not a dashboard...
The front quarter when the video went dark reminded me of the Corolla Altis 2nd gen. The headlights, especially.
Not having a sunblind in a 5 series is crazy, that too at this pricing. Even my e90 3 series has front and rear sunblind
Are those flap type door handles ? Nothing can come close to the F90, F10 is even better looking
At this point Mercedes takes the Indian market more seriously than BMW.

This looks like the GTA version of the 5er. And let's not get started on the crappy equipment list. Giant touchscreens and ambient lighting alone aren't enough to make a good car, BMW.

Wheels ain't big issue for people. They can easily change the rims in some shop. The fact, the 5 series lost its uniqueness....It was raw, a pure driving pleasure and not luxury centric + so many technology. Nuh uh, it looks good in the 7 series and Mercedes bcoz they're meant for that. BMW is meant for the raw feel, adequate enough luxury and most importantly performance!
It's a shame that there is no diesel

Get a Lexus or a toyota Camry if you are buying car for chauffeur driven purpose....these german cars are targeting back seat owners and don't have the bells and whistles...
The body shape at rear reminds you of cars of cheaper segment like Toyota Camrys / Corolla sedans of 2010s. That probably will kill the intention to spend for this one. But this current state of BMW is a good reminder of how companys shot their own feet in long terms by looking at short term gains from Chinese market. People want to spend money on BMW for the driving pleasure, but if that selfie camera becomes the representation of BMW luxury than temptation to drive.. the cheaper cars from china with inferior engineering but big screens and cameras become better value for money. Get back to what you are good at, BMW!
No car in today’s date is worth buying…shocking no rear and window blinds. My 530d F10 had both. Don’t buy a car in today’s date without the same
AUDI A5, better alternative.
BMW did a great job killing sporty looks of 5 series.
Audi A6 can increase ground clearance but this bmw cannot... So audi... And bmw has limited showrooms and less ground clearance... I am not saying bmw is bad but our indian roads are bad...
