    Imádom ezt a filmet és Dél-Bostonban is dolgoztam pszichoterapeutaként 28-évig. I have been studying Hungarian for four years and have never come across such excellent material like you have created on RUclips, especially with Good Will Hunting. Thank you!! Gratulálok öreg cimbi, ez tényleg csűcs!!

    Great video explaining the vocabulary and grammar in each section of the dialogue. The color coded definitions in the slides make it very easy to see the Hungarian and English meanings. At the end of the video when I listened to the dialogue without subtitles I understood much more than the first time. I would recommend watching this multiple times to learn all the new words.

    Thanks for this. I did an extra step between part 1 and part 2 -- rewatched part 1 several times and looked up the words on my own before even taking a peek at part 2. It made me more appreciative of the explanations (which I couldn't figure out on my own from just the dictionary) and made the explanations stick for me.
    Nice that in addition to getting a Hungarian lesson we get a life lesson as well.

      @hunfun_dani  9 месяцев назад +1

      @@shawnmarko7131 Intersting approach. I don't know for sure. On one hand when you learn a language and an accent you don't want to confuse your mind with another language. With beginners I have to speak English, but usually avoiding English when you learn is better. On the other hand recognizing the 'foreign' sounds in your language may help 😁 I don't know for sure so it's up to you to make an experiment.

      @@hunfun_dani thank you for your time. Total immersion is best of course. I've put on some of the Hungarian movies and dubbed movies, just listening to the whole thing to get the rhythn and to pick out more and more phrases. Like a drum pattern, when you play slowly it sounds much differently when fast. When you speak at regular speed everything blends together. Enjoying my study.

    Tényleg, I agree that a literal translation is the best for students to understand the language structures and paradigms. Pédául: milyen érzés igazan boldogan felébredeni... There is a tendency to use the idioms retroactively that Hungarian students lmust study with the impersonal you in English i.e How you feel to awake truly happy etc.. yet it's much more useful for students of Hungarian to study the literal idiom: What kind of feeling it is to awake truly happily
    Egy kérdésem van: Ha rád nézek, nem egy okos biztos férfit látok, ... Is it possible to explain whey Hungarian uses Ha and not Amikor in this construction? When I think in English: "If I look upon you..." strongly implies that the speaker has not yet done any looking which is likely not the case. Is this a matter of softening or politeness to make the clause a protasis which is not part of a conditional statement?
    Köszönöm jó munkát a Magyar tanulásért

    • @hunfun_dani
      @hunfun_dani  9 месяцев назад +1

      HI! :D In this sentence 'ha' and 'amikor' would be interchangeable. If you have specific sentences I can tell you how I would translate it, but in this case there isn't much difference between ha and amikor. Amikor rád nézek nem egy magabiztos férfit látok is the same as ha rád nézek nem egy magabiztos férfit látok. :)
